Good location, comfortable beds and pillows, the tv and aircon worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful and doing their best.

The shower head kept dropping and was pouring rather than spraying water. Also, the window would not stay open and could only be opened a short way. We had to prop it open with the plastic welcome thingy. I did advise reception, and they said they’d get someone to look at these things next day, but they were not fixed during our stay. Sometimes nothing beats fresh air not even aircon (which we didn’t need to use at the time, and aircon without a slightly open window at night is stuffy and uncomfortable).

The Hotel is in a great location on Albany Hwy, a short drive to the city centre. The King Spa room was very comfortable. The mattress was a little hard for me, but otherwise very good. There were 2 comfortable armchairs with a little side table, that we could pull in front of the TV. There was a little kitchenette with the basics: microwave, kettle, toaster, glassware, crockery and cutlery for two. The bathroom was well appointed with a medium sized two person corner spa, separate shower, vanity and toilet. It had been nicely renovated with completely tiled walls and floor. It just needed a little maintenance, as one of the towel rings fell of the wall and shattered, and the other felt like it might soon follow. And the long towel rail was also bent out of shape. The housekeeping staff did a excellent job providing dry towels and anything else that was needed in the room.

The only weird thing in the King Spa room was that instead of a dining table and chairs, they had a massive office table and 2 office chairs that functioned as the dining table. It was a bit awkward to use, and the larger of the 2 office chairs was very heavy and hard to roll on the carpet. Replacing these with a small dining table and chairs, would made the space easier to use and nicer to look at.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were very professional and polite. Fairly good location, within walking distance of many stores and a few restaurants. there is a nice walk to a lookout on the hill above the hotel. Also, plenty of those purple scooters around if you want to get into town faster.

While the rooms were clean and comfortable, the furniture and decor looked a little dated. Still, nothing we didn't expect, and it didnt impact our visit.

The room felt and smelled clean. Lovely comfortable big bed and good location.

We stayed for two nights and did not want housekeeping so left DND on door. That's my choice. I did not appreciate notes being left on the door to say they could not service the room. Twice in one day. We returned so I removed the note, only to have another one there when we returned again later. The morning of checkout we went out for breakfast and returned at 9.30am to freshen up before checkout at 10am and our room had been stripped of linen. Although we had already packed our car, we still should have been able to use the room until 10am. I found this rude, an invasion of privacy, plus a breach of contract.

The hot water system was not working when we arrived and was very disappointing after we drove for over 4 hours from the Augusta. On the first night, the reception was able to find a spare room for us to shower so we were able to go around freely except we have to go around to a different room one by one (4 of us) with escort. But with the second night, we were restricted to shower before 7pm and there was another family in it at 6pm. We were not able to go around freely and enjoy Albany as much as we want due to the hot water restriction. Both nights, Cathy & her staffs refunded $100 per night with the inconvenience. But it would be better if we can use a spare shower without the time restriction. I would rate this hotel to at least 8+ (because you would need a car to go around with the location) and I found the hotel linen is exceptionally clean (although some may complaint about the smell of laundry powder). After staying in a few rural motel family rooms in other locations, I still think this hotel is exceptional and hopefully their hot water system is fixed by now. Another thing I would suggest is please stated the extra charge applies to using AMEX card to avoid confusion.

hot water system broke down while we were there and restriction with using spare shower and long waiting time on the second night. We informed the receptionist about the toilet/shower behind the office was quite wet after used by the previous family. Unexpectedly she was so kind and wiped up the whole area/floor for us.

Room was very clean, location is just right next to Albany highway when you first enter via the big 5 entrace roundabout thus easy to find, big wide car parking spaces infront of each room which is a big plus when alot of motels have tiny car park spaces.

The AC is a very old box unit type is more noisy vs a split type, but biggest issue is that it doesn't feature a linear compressor. Which means theres noticeable noise difference when the compressor is running vs just the fans. And it cycles between the two alot when trying to maintain a consistent room temperature. This might be an issue for people to sleep who are to noise sensitive.

Reception staff very good, going out of the way to help with information and directions when Google maps put us in the street above the hotel. Room quite large and adequate for a travelling couple

Whilst the bathroom was cleaned daily and the room was vaccuumed we found that the cups were just wiped and put back. The floor being a laminate was as clean as it could be. after a vaccuum but I dropped water and wiped with a towel and towel was black. I will add that this is probably across the board with other hotels we have come across with tile floors Again the shower curtain needs to be longer, bathroom tends to get very wet after a shower. A possible OHS issue in the future.

The room (42) we had was large in size and the bed was soooo comfortable. It was very clean, yes it's and old motel (I loooove the older motels, they have character), but it had ALL the great qualities of a new motel. The staff were super friendly, up for a bit of a chat and helpful with suggestions on somewhere to eat. I would definitely stay there again. (And we plan to) The location was brilliant as well, a $14 cab fee if you didn't want to walk to the foreshore. Bonus, No traffic noise, even though it's on the road in/out. The bed though... *Sigh* If I had a truck I would have loaded the bed into it and taken it home 💙 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way.

The room was very well equipped for a motel. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff member who attended to us upon checking in. He went beyond expectations to provide the information we asked for.

The motel signboard facing the road was not working or switched on when we were there. This is a dangerous situation as finding the place at night on the highway with fast-moving vehicles.

Receptionist was very welcoming, courteous, and and very helpful with our general enquiries about Albany and if longer stay accomodation was possible for one of us relocating for work in Albany at the end of Feb

The towels were clean but could have been “newer”. Had a foul mouthed man in the room next to us. Not the motels fault but we were glad he only stayed one night!!
