Edinburgh Motor Inn

We had been driving all day and needed a motel for an overnighter, somewhere clean, comfortable and well priced and that’s what we got! Jack on reception is lovely and our room was spotless, bed was comfortable and had a nice hot shower. Much cheaper than anywhere else we looked at and the little town of Warragul is actually not that little, there are heaps of shops and amenities, we picked up supplies in town before continuing on our journey.

We could hear trains from our room at night, once we fell asleep it didn’t disturb us at all but a light sleeper might ask for a room on the other side of the property away from the tracks.

I chose the particular motel because it is close to my place of work. At the present time, I do not have a car and the location of the motel allows me to walk, catch the bus or hire a taxi. I was exhausted after Parent teacher night at work and I was happy to have a warm shower, a comfortable bed and a nice cup of coffee with biscuits (available in the room). The wi-fi was excellent and I could access the Internet and check my emails without any worry. Since I am a solo traveler, it was recomforting to know that the people who run the motel are permanently there. I arrived at the motel fairly late and the reception lady was very warm, patient and welcoming. I have rebooked the room for a day next week because I felt so comfortable. It was excellent value for the price.

I really can't complain about anything. I liked the motel and felt safe and comfortable.

I did not have the breakfast, therefor I cannot comment on how the breakfast was. If I did have the breakfast I would be able to comment on my experience with the breakfast. Breakfast is an important meal. Breakfast is served and/or eaten in the morning, lunch however is usually served midday (approx 12pm). Dinner, however, is a whole different story. You definitely would not serve breakfast AFTER 12pm. I’m sure the breakfast would have been great if I had received it, unfortunately I did not opt to receive it, therefore I will not comment further on my breakfast experience.

Splatters on the wall. What can only be described as “a recent sticky food fight” was evident on the apartment walls. I do claim to know what has recently occurred within the four walls of this specific appartment, however I will say that if there is going to be a sticky mess on the wall, I would appreciate at least a paragraph in writing detailing the events that led to such a sticky situation. Ew.

The room was comfortable with adequate equipment (crockery, cutlery toaster and jug etc), excellent lighting for reading, plenty of cupboard space, and an excellent (large) size TV well placed to be easily seen from anywhere in room. I loved the extended bench space. Plenty of towels (including face washers!!!). Good size bathroom BUT ...see next box I will need to travel to Warragul again and will be happy to stay there. Excellent service overall.

The shower was tiny but water a good temperature. I did have a problem with the key to open the door initially but the owner gave me another one and I had no more problems. Breakfast options could perhaps be a little wider. I did appreciate however that I was not charged for breakfast because of the key problem.

The location is in a very convenient place. It takes 10 minutes walking to the shopping centres. The breakfast was very healthy. The internet connection was excellent.

Everything was great. I have nothing bad to say.

The property matched the booking.com reviews. It was clean, bed was great, shower was great, location excellent, close to a number of good restaurants etc … The manager was friendly and helped out with places to eat and with a (very) minor issue with our room. We appreciated his willingness to assist. we had driven all day from Adelaide and wanted a place to eat, crash and be on our way the next morning. It provided all this. And very reasonably priced.

The position of the motel, not far from shops etc

I think the room needed the doors washed like around the door knobs and surrounds. Soap n hot water, wouldn’t,be hard to do. Oh and a tea towel would be good.

Loved that the heating was on when we arrived and Cozy comfortable bed and breakfast available.Drinks available too if needed.Shower pressure was great.Decent size bathroom Had all the cutlery crockery needed and provided a microwave Even a hair straightener! Good size television.Quiet considering it is on a main road.

Ceiling over shower was moldy.

The Edinburgh Motel was a comfortable walking distance from the town shops, restaurants etc which was great. Also walking distance to Aldi so we were able to walk up there to get to get a few supplies. The lady at reception was friendly and the rooms (although nothing fancy) were clean and comfy. The aircon worked well.

The TV was difficult to work. Might have just been a problem with the remote's battery.

Bed was exceptionally comfortable especially as i have a back injury. To the amazing staff who went way beyond her duties to accommodate my wishes for early check-in due to long travels, and needing more than an hour to get ready.

Nothing it was perfect.
