Kaloha Holiday Resort Phillip Island

Location was excellent, short walk to shops and beach at our feet The resort had a nice island vibe to it with palm trees and Bali hut settings. Check in was contactless and super easy! I really liked this option The restaurant/bar onsite was lovely, great food and the restaurant staff were very nice and accommodating. The pool and spa were really nice too with a nice island vibe Our beach front villa had a lovely view of the beach and a gate leading straight there, well worth the extra money We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

If I had to say anything, the tv in the lounge didn’t have much reception and was quite small, really a minor thing when you have the beach so close. Also the speed humps were a bit strange as they sunk in and were extremely bumpy for getting in/out again very minor

Staff very helpful with switching to larger room prior to stay. Spa & pool & restaurant great. Service at office & restaurant also great. Check in/out super easy & convenient. Rooms clean & have all the basics 👍 Beach a short walk away & not far from town Centre. Very family friendly & would stay again!

Decor dated especially in restaurant & some things in need of updating (rusty towel rail, couch sides wobbly). Guest booklet in rooms doesn’t have restaurant times & whether booking is needed or menu. Menu online out of date & no kids menu online. Guest booklet doesn’t have info about bbq’s and that 20cent coins are needed (it was annoying to take everything downstairs then realize we needed coins back upstairs & then didn’t have right change etc).

The location is perfect. Right on the beach and a short walk to the main street of Cowes. We stayed in the family 2 br apartment. The room was comfortable. The amenities block was clean and the shower pressure great! The pool and spa area was a highlight.

The bathroom in the apartment was "open plan". Unfortunately, using the shower resulted in the whole bathroom flooding. The less often used surfaces and windows could do with a good dust. We didn't end up watching TV but it was not a smart TV so could only access the free-to-air digital channels. We had to pay 20c to use the BBQs. It took 60c to cook eight sausages and three lamb fillets. Don't mind paying but we don't carry cash! The jumping pillow has been removed but it is still advertised on the website and road-front signage. We had some very disappointed kids. The children's playground isn't much to write home about with just a baby swing, and single slide tower.

Nice clean and comfortable accommodation. We stayed in a family room which for the two of us was plenty of room. I do think it would be cramped with 2 adults and 2 children especially if the children were around 10 years old.

Unfortunately the family staying on the top floor was very noisy and running around and you could hear the banging through the roof. At one point they must have been jumping off the beds as we thought they were coming through to join us! Also be aware that the shower in your room might not be as per the pictures. Our shower was a small corner shower with shelves sticking out into the shower area taking up room. Very difficult for larger people to use, both plus size or even someone with a bit of bulk. We could barely move in the shower.

We loved our stay, the cabin was clean and tidy with really good access to the beach. Location was brilliant and walking distance to the town centre and amenities even for our 4 year old (he's a pretty active 4 year old). Our boys loved the jumping cushion (so did we) and although it was a bit cold the boys enjoyed the pool.

The sea view from our cabin was very small but we understand this would be because vegetation between the cabins and the beach is environmentally important and not allowed to be trimmed. In the kitchen there was a hotplate and microwave but no oven. Our children love some chicken nuggets and chips on holiday so it was a shame there was no oven, I would suggest bring your own an air fryer instead.

Service quality depends on which receptionist you get. The lady was got in the afternoon were cold and didn’t want to talk to us. when we asked for local recommendation, she didn’t provide any. when we asked about the facility of the room we booked, she made us to check our booking.com record instead of telling us based on the room number we were assigned to. the gentleman we got early evening and the following morning talked with a smile, provided helpful information, and was a pleasure to chat with.

Location- jumpy pillow for the kids. Friendly staff. Great pool and spa. Easy to use laundry- bring gold coins. $4 per wash. Approx $10 for the dryer.

Fridge wasn't cold when we arrived. Freezer didn't freeze. Things. Had a kids slushie sachet in there for 4 days and did not freeze. Bbq's took forever to cook anything. Only utensils in the kitchen were 3 forks, knives and spoons. 1 pair of tongs and a peeler....oh and corkscrew. No spatula etc. Only 3 glasses and mugs. Had to wash constantly. I was very disappointed that the room was not serviced over our 5 day stay. Staff did say we could go to reception for supplies but that's not what we paid for.. Overall...I would probably stay here again though. But I will come more prepared next time. Bathrooms.could.do with some.bleach....

Beach front location wkth the deck was the best! The kids loved the pool and playground. Was great to have a tv in the kids bedroom.

The spa wasn’t that clean and I wish the pool Was a bit warmer. The beds were small and an outside shower for sand would have been very practical coming from the beach. Also a fan in both bedrooms would only seem fair.

faultless location and the view of the ocean from our veranda was the icing on the cake. everything we needed was available to us in the cabin.

The “playground” was pathetic and the spa was cold. luckily there was a public playground just up the road and of course we spent most of our time out and about anyway. The spa was not redeemable - I had banked on it being a cold weather backup for my child who loves to swim and unfortunately it was almost as cold as the ocean!

i liked how private each room was and how close it was to the beach. i enjoyed having a smart tv so we could come home from a long day out and relax to watch netflix.

i was wanting to spend more time in the pool and spa at night time, we entered just before 9 and the gates were locked on our last day. the power went out twice in the span of an hour on our first night too.
