Hotel was a great location, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel also accommodated an earlier check in time. The toiletries were high quality, and the presentation of the room was excellent.

The room was described as still being quiet for a front facing hotel however there were some nights where there were extremely loud parties in the irish pub directly downstairs. It was also difficult to get back into the hotel front door when these events were on as the people on the street were quite rowdy. This is out of control of the hotel, however it made some nights unpleasant trying to get back into the room.

The location is superb, right on Salamanca Place, just minutes walking to the wharf and Battery Point hill. There are two hotels actually but both are discreet, and in the hotels themselves, it is really quiet and there was no noise at all in our room. We had a car so accessed the small parking bay from a side street, where we were given a pass to take the car to an indoor car park about a 5 minute walk away. Cost $20 a night. We had a King Pod room, for 3 days, very moody, large and ultra cool. Beautifully furnished and Grown Alchemist products in the bathroom, huge fluffy towels for the very large shower, a fabulously comfortable king bed which I want in my own home. Welcoming apples. A long window seat from where you can relax by the terrific view of the interesting vertical garden outside. Staff couldn’t be more helpful, always available.

It would have been a perfect score rating for this hotel except for the air conditioner. Because unfortunately the huge window to the vertical garden doesn’t open, you rely on the air conditioner. The only problem was that we finally only learned how to operate it the morning we were leaving, despite staff showing us so we were too warm in bed at night. We couldn’t find the switch to even turn it off. The rooms have mood lighting so are a bit dark which makes it hard to see things properly, the on off button was right on top. A sheet with instructions in the compendium would be helpful. Oh, and there is no Netflix!

Location was excellent, walk around the corner to some superb restaurants and bars and just across from the harbour. Very comfortable bed and super quiet! you have some next level sound proof windows, Hobart had a big storm the first night we stayed, apparently a building in Hobart was hit by lightning and caught fire? I heard a clap of thunder very faintly and that was all, we slept through the whole thing! Staff were extremely friendly, room was very comfortable and clean and was an overall good experience.

We couldn't work out how to use the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Maybe some sort of instructions could be useful?

The location is outstanding, walk down a corridor and straight onto Salamanca, absolutely amazing on Saturday for the market. The room was beautiful, spacious, extremely comfortable bed, fantastic shower - looking onto the aspect of the calming green wall as requested. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, they even provided us with an early check in. The mini bar was also extremely reasonably priced

Nothing- other than a preferential thing. It would be perfect if the room had an air vent or some small window slats to open and let some fresh air in occasionally, a very minor gripe

I loved everything about this property. The location was brilliant - so handy to a multitude of restaurants and shops plus perfect location to access Salamanca Markets on a Saturday. The room was spectacular - everything from the full glass windows looking out to the greenery, the beautifully tiled bathroom, the minibar at regular prices was awesome and the staff were so attentive and friendly. An absolutely faultless hotel. Our stay was perfect. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you!

There wasn't anything to dislike...it was perfect!

Staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful( especially the receptionist from Newcastle NSW) . Couldn’t wish for a better location. Rooms were beautifully furnished, bed super comfy, lovely high quality toiletries and plenty of clean, fluffy towels. Rooms were quiet despite being in the heart of the action. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you Moss Hotel for making my stay in Hobart ,safe, comfortable and memorable.

I was able to change rooms due to some necessary maintenance work , I found my first room a wee bit stuffy but I am a fresh air fiend lol. The receptionist put me in a different room that was super quiet and had windows that opened out. So grateful for that. So helpful.

An absolutely beautiful and luxurious room, I was in the Kind Pod and it was very comfortable, wonderful details, soaps, good coffee for the coffee machine and the prettiest mugs, great mini bar, cutlery and plates, cheese knife, all these added touches make a difference. Lovely serviced rooms.

It was unfortunate that when I arrived they were doing some work on the rooms below, the host told me it would be an hour and not very loud, unfortunately it lasted for 4 hours and it was very loud so not the peaceful afternoon I was looking for in the zen room 😔

The location is amazing. Walking distance to everything you need and electric scooters just outside to hire if you don’t feel like walking. The room itself is so well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff were great, not intrusive but always there when you need them. The waterfall shower was to die for and the deep soaking bathtub so relaxing after a big day exploring.

There was a small gap between the black out curtain and the wall which couldn’t be closed. This left the room quite bright during the night - some hooks on the wall may be a good solution, or even a complementary eye mask for those who need it. I am very sensitive to light when sleeping so this likely wouldn’t be an issue for others.

Great location (although it was a little difficult to find the green door at night) but the staff were very helpful. Beautifully appointed rooms - not like anywhere I’ve stayed before

We did have a little problem with some of the parking on Saturday and instruction could have been a bit clearer. We did arrive later in the evening in the dark so didn’t note all the instructions provided. This was all taken care of by the property in the end

The hotel is in the perfect location. Right in the heart of Salamanca with the Saturday market right outside the front door. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a minute's walking distance, but it's not noisy at all. The hotel itself is modern and fairly unique in that it's very green, with plants everywhere. Our room was spotlessly clean and the person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and will rebook if we ever go back to Hobart.
