Best Western Kimba Lodge

I stayed at the Kimba Lodge after a trip out in the bush. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, comfort and service of this motel. The room was spacious, well-equipped and had a nice view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The motel also has a pool and a restaurant next door which were great. The location is convenient and I would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for an over-night quality stay in Barcaldine. It was a great value for money and a pleasant experience. Thank you Kimba Lodge for making my trip easier and more enjoyable!

The location was near the CBD of Maryborough. It was easy to walk to shops ,musea, artgalleries, tourist information etc. The room was spotlessly clean. It was nice to have a little place to sit outside although there was no garden. We found it very convenient that there is a restaurantThe White lion hotel ) next to the motel. so we didn't have to go further to have dinner. This restaurant offers good food at a reasonable price in a very friendly setting. The lady at the reception recommended it to us.

When we entered the room there was an overpowering smell of air freshener. I am slightly allergic to these chemical flower scents. After having the door open for a few hours, the smell disappeared and the room just had a nice smell. so it doesn't seem necessary at all to use this air freshener ( or whatever it was).

We thoroughly enjoyed this motel - not a thing out of place with plenty of comfort and wonderfully quiet, and walking distance to town. Also next door is the White Lion Hotel, owned by the same people, it is excellent, we ended up eating all our evening/late lunch meals there - a lovely stay all around in an incredible town full of history including the best Gallipoli to Armistace Memorial in Australia in our books.

Nice fresh clean rooms. Friendly staff. In a very convenient spot - the restaurant was great too. It was nice spending time in the pool and very quiet.

There were some guests that showed up with a dog and brought it into the pool area and their kids were jumping in the pool, swearing and being very loud after being told not too. But I can’t blame the hotel for lazy parenting and bad manners.

Everything. The room was well equipped and beds were comfortable. Location was great and near to town. Rooms cleaned daily. Cleanliness was top notch. Well done to the housekeeping team. Next door was pub that served great meals. And meals could also be delivered to rooms.

Only gripe was seeing a dog in a motel room that had a no pets policy. (I would never book into a pet friendly place.) It was 4 doors away and was yapping. Not sure why it was allowed??

Very clean, very comfortable and very quiet even though we were on the ground floor right next to the front door. The staff member checking us in and out was very polite, helpful and felt welcoming.

The parking was ok. We just squeezed into the last free park which was out the front of the building, otherwise we would have had to park next door in the neighbouring drive through bottle shop/ hotel car park.

The Best Western was close to the Brolga Theatre where my children had an event. You could choose to walk or drive. The room was clean. The room was stocked with all the little extras that kids like to eat and drink when travelling so need to shop.

N/A didn't stay long enough to notice anything that was unfavorable.

Staff were exceptional and the gentleman that met us after hours at 9pm and showed us where to park was fantastic. Comfortable and quiet rooms.

I usually stay in Hervey Bay because of the excellent variety of accommodation. I was very impressed with the quality of Kimba Lodge Hotel. There was plenty of parking, the room was large yet very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was brilliant.

I liked it all and their Mini Bar prices are incredibly cheap. Also plenty of milk and hot drink sachets to keep me going. I am very impressed with everything.

The room was quiet and the mattress was very comfortable, allowing a good sleep. The room was well appointed with cutlery, crockery, toaster, jug, a pod coffee machine and Also the refrigerator was stocked with two mini bottles for fresh milk

Room is used for both smoking and non-smoking customers, with smoking restricted to the outside balcony with the door closed. The room had been thoroughly clieaned before our stay but, as non-smokers, we noticed a slightly odd smell. Although we later realised that the occupant of the room next door was smoking on her/his balcony and some of the smoke was blowing onto our balcony.
