The Langham, Gold Coast and Jewel Residences

Beautifully appointed, new facilities — very clean, comfortable and luxurious.

The pool set up is a bit disappointing— to begin with it sits within a wind tunnel, but the most disappointing part is the staff. Took 30 minutes for someone to find a menu, and the staff don’t seem to uphold the Langham customer service… I thought the pool staff were guests because they were playing around the pool.

Location dreamy seaside location. Rooms beautiful. Smells divine and super relaxing environement. Staff made a substantial effort to deliver but not quite there in terms of a world class offering or a refection of the rates. Feel full rack rates should not have been charged with so many of the facilities still not on offer (no poolside service, spa not open as yet, no room turn down etc at present due to staff shortages) and the fact the tractors are still working outside the areas for guests from early in the morning. Pool ARCTIC so we had to walk up and down from the pool area to the ocean (and being the guest pathways to and from the beach were all blocked with ongoing construction work - this was a bit of a hike) for a swim instead of a dip in the pool, and nowhere really to catch the sun poolside as most the time in full shade due to the large buildings blocking the sun. Think the pool area needs some serious consideration (and service!!!) as not exactly user friendly! (ie difficult to get in and out of your poolside position, no convenient bathroom options, no sun, no towels, no service and limited options for a poolside experience). Akoya buffet for dinner was great value for the pricetag, and breakfast was lovely (except for the tractors running up and down constantly taking away from the ambience). I would definitely stay again though, but felt a little disappointed and slightly ripped off that the entire experience wasn't on offer for the room rate in its entirety! Maybe an opening offer wouod have made more sense? Really luxurious hotel. A real spoil.

We stayed at the 2 bedroom Jewel Residence which is the serviced apartment side of The Langham. Amazing concierge service which assisted us throughout our stay from restaurant reservations, things to do recommendations, arranged transportation etc Front desk was also very prompt when we extended our stay and wanted to switch rooms Always accomodating to kids, we enjoyed the kids room and the servives provided for our little ones. High tea at the Palm Court was very delicious and a MUST if you’re staying here. Amazing beach access with moderate walking distance to restaurants in Broadbeach area. All of this is very expected coming from a Langham lover.

(-) One of my negative review is how the rooms are set up for example our first room was the 2 Bedroom Ocean Residence which had no bath tub and it was large yet the bedrooms & bathrooms were so small and the living area had a lot of unnecessary space. Even though the views were incredible. Also the cleanliness of the service area such as laundry space can be a little improved. Rooms in the higher floor tend to be alot smaller too, it’s best to stay in the mid floor All in all would I return? 100% yes

The indoor pool, the luxurious feel and elegance from everything about the stay. Very relaxing. The Akora restaurant was exceptional

I personally had a great time but My partner accidentally left an expensive hair product and sentimental comb in the room upon checkout and called within a few hours only to be told nothing was found by house keeping. My only assumption is housekeeping disposed of his possessions which is very disappointing. My advice is make sure you don’t leave anything as they could just throw it away without consent. Our rooms table hadn’t been cleaned properly either as there were ring marks which made it grubby. The location of the outdoor pool made it impossible for me to use as it was like a windstorm. The product also had to be replaced which isn’t good as he let them know imminently

Great location on the beach - 10 mins walk to Broadbeach and 15mins to Surfers Paradise down the boardwalk. The hotel has a safe, free car parking building, you only have to pay if you use the valet service. 2 bed apartment has amazing views and fantastic pools and gym. The 2bd Ocean view apartment was large and well appointed with washing machine and dryer . The hotel is right next to a patrolled area of the beach so you don't have to walk far to swim safely. Staff were great and very friendly. Bed was very comfortable with black out curtains in the bedroom.

The hotel is divine. We stayed in the jewel residence appts on the 39th floor which had beautiful views from every window to the pacific ocean. Full kitchen and laundry made for a very comfy stay. The staff are fabulous. Our coles order arrived a bit early and concierge not only took it to our room but unpacked it into the fridge and freezer (thank you so much Rebekah!). Loved proximity to pac fair (two tram stops away). Beach literally on your doorstep. Breakfast at Akoya was delicious (but dosent compare to the Langham melb imo) and we did try out the local surf club on the beach and it was fab.

Towels at the pool! Pls just have a cupboard stacked full of towels rather than having to go the bar to ask for them (and the staff not seeming excited about it).

My teenage daughter and I spent his past week at the Langham Gold Coast, which was superb. Our oceanview room was spacious and beautiful. We had a gorgeous large bathroom with a magnificent extra large oval bath, complete with soaking salts. Full vanity amenities, robes, Langham pool thongs, complimentary water inside of gorgeous Langham reusable bottles. Sat out in the spacious, indoor/outdoor balcony and read my book while enjoying my serenity tea from the room. A full service gym, beautiful -used it each afternoon. A large indoor pool and a gorgeous lagoon style outdoor pool with a swim up bar. Complimentary parking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every turn. Walked down a short pathway to the beach from the Langham to watch a gorgeous sunrise. We will return. Warm regards, Julie ~ Sydney

Parking is complimentary and open to all of the public. The tricky part is that I would have preferred a section for guests only as we were tailed into the carpark after dinner one night, right up to our spot and then the car that didn't look like it belonged, backed out. We noticed the car following us. The next morning our favourite beach towels (that we brought up to the hote from Sydney) were missing from our boot. I reported it to the manager, as the incident didn't make either of us feel safe. If I had to hazard a guess, they've done this before. I'm happy that we didn't have a physical confrontation. I provided staff with my licence plate details and the time that we came in from an app I have on my phone. They noted that they would follow up with security.

View was excellent, nice and quite. the service was absolutely perfect, everyone was so nice and helpful. 30 seconds from hotel to the beach.

was a bit far away from everything else m, but for a romantic couple getaway it’s not a big issue

Staff were very helpful, especially upon arrival (including a personal tour of the ground floor) great facilities, beautiful hotel and pool areas, lovely bar, great cafe, great amenities provided in the bathroom, comfortable bed. Option to cast movies from our personal devices was great, but we had to repeat it several times per movie as the WiFi kept dropping out.

A few minor things: Our bags didn’t make it to our room until more than half an hour after we arrived. Nowhere to put clothes other than a hanging space and drawers in the bathroom. The first time we ordered room service our meals arrived over twenty minutes later than the suggested time. Ordered bread from the bar and it was very dry. Everything else was great.

lovely room and bathroom fresh sea air and unobstructed view from the bed of ocean if you are lucky enough to get a room without beams. We moved to a room that provided this after getting one of the one with beams and boy huge difference for the same price.

I would like to be able to book a room with unobstructed views for a price rather than risk a request and end up with same room with big beams across the view. It should be a different price room in my opinion.
