Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences

Pillows are wonderful. Large spacious rooms, lots of wardrobe space, calming decor, big balcony, wonderful assortment of in-room teas. Margot's on the main level was a god send (given the wet weather), very relaxing to sit and chat and enjoy an extensive array of drinks and food in a non-hurried environment. The breakfast was an amazing array of all sorts of foods, spoiled for choice and fresh and nutritious, such a fabulous way to start the day. Staff in the whole hotel are trained to an exceptional level, exceedingly friendly, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. The highlight of the whole trip to the Gold Coast was the hotel!

What I would improve on: cockroach in our room on arrival, not so nice, someone else's drinks can in the bedside table drawer, no luggage rack was a nuisance but everything else was spot on. Sink had a large lateral crack edge to edge which should be swapped out to finish off such a nice bathroom.

central location, close to everything. Upon check in Chris took very good care of us and gave us some choices for which floor we would like to stay on, etc. This was a pleasant surprise as other hotels have very firm allocation and a lack of flexibility. we ended up getting a breathtaking view of the beach (not expected for the room type we purchased) from our room! The room itself was very clean, modern with great amenities. Buffet breakfast was an absolute treat, and the room service we ordered was prompt and delicious. Pool area was spacious and comfortable, great that we could enjoy drinks there too. overall we felt very spoilt during the stay and was excellent value for the money.

small cons - slippers were great but the bathrobes weren’t very comfortable -coffee machine was a little dirty on arrival, so were some of our cups in the drawers

some surfaces, especially the bedside table and headboard were dusty. We paid for a club room and for breakfast included and were told that if we wanted buffet breakfast we had to pay an extra $15 per person as continental breakfast was included as part of the club room package. we have never struck this anywhere before. paying extra for breakfast included should mean buffet breakfast not the continental breakfast that is automatically part of the club room cost

We had a fantastic stay, the staff were exceptional. We felt so welcomed and looked after. The gifts when we checked in on Christmas Day just made us feel so special. The pools were wonderful, the breakfast was perfect and the room comfortable. Being able to text the reception was so easy and helpful.

There were a couple of minor things in our room that needed fixing but the staff were incredibly responsive and nothing was too much trouble.

The fact that they kept on not finding us as guests At breakfast in front of a large group of people we were questioned if we were in fact quests of the hotel then at checkout they could not find us as us as guests

Nice selection but missing bacon and fried eggs was disappointing and the eggs were not cooked to my liking nor was there a selection fitting the price scrambled eggs and bacon would have been a nice choice. The executive lounge breakfast was not what I thought it would be.

The mini bar in the room was empty I asked for it to be stocked but found it empty except for 4 tiny milk pods

Beautiful views from lovely spacious balconies and floor to ceiling room windows. Breakfast was very wholesome with good variety of food. Hotel was very child friendly and I would highly recommend it for families.

Cleanliness was not at par, we found previous guests’ belonging in the drawers and their used towels as well. But when pointing these out to the staff they were quick at apologising and sending their housekeeping staff who cleaned the room straight away.

Fantastic room, the view was sensational. Staff were so attentive and friendly. The beds! Oh my goodness the beds were AMAZING! Lovely hotel!

The breakfast served in the executive lounge could have been maintained better but overall it was good.

Close to everything

Lifts and their silly need to have electronic key. I appreciate the security that comes with it, but surely when I go from 29th floor to Ground level, I should be considerd as a customer!

I'd also like to extend my gratitude to the Korean staff member whose name slipped my mind, but whose warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on us. Manager Lucas's special arrangements were greatly appreciated, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more memorable. The buffet breakfast was a delightful treat, offering a variety of delicious options. While the current choices were satisfying, a wider selection would undoubtedly make it even better. The breakfast pricing strategy you've implemented makes perfect sense, offering great value for those looking to indulge in the hotel's culinary offerings. The friendliness of your staff, the cleanliness and efficiency of housekeeping, and the remarkable teamwork evident throughout the hotel all deserve a solid 5-star rating. I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. During our stay, we encountered a challenge with the internet, which impacted our ability to access TV and important emails. It provided an unintended tech break for the kids, but staying connected for essential matters was challenging.
