Chinchilla Great Western Motor Inn

Dog friendly, fast response to messages, AC worked well. Left a dog blanket and biscuit which was lovely. Got a last minute deal so price was good.

After booking we had to answer questions about our dog and stressed about them canceling (they didn’t). Kitchen very basic and missing a spoon. Water tastes terrible but they did supply 2 bottles drinking water. TV wasn’t working properly (could have contacted managers but didn’t want to disturb them at night). Walls not soundproof as advertised. Restaurant was not operating on night we stayed like advertised.

The room was pet-friendly (we paid an additional $20 for the night to have our small older dog with us), and a treat and blanket was left for our pet which was a nice touch, along with the rules / expectations of the motel (which were quite reasonable). The bed / bedding was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were roomy, There were tub chairs in the room, which were comfortable, along with a small table and chairs. The microwave was also appreciated. We arrived after 6pm on a Sunday so our room key was left for us in the safe outside of reception, with the details text to me, which worked well. The motel is right near a service station and KFC. Parking was just outside the door.

As the motel is on the highway there is some road noise, but we still slept well.

They are very friendly and helpful Alway meets my needs all the time , no matter what time I arrive in the middle of the night. You can get a key and get to your room, and the air-conditioned is on, and the room is cool for comfort. It is my favourite place and the restaurant is great

Everything was perfect

We loved the look of this motor inn. Our room was very large and spacious with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. The room opened onto a lovely big green lawn with swimming pool. The room was spotlessly clean, cool and quiet. The owner was super friendly and accomodating.

The decor was slightly dated but this did not faze us.

It was a good price and the motel and grounds are lovely. The bed and bedding is all new, as were the furnishings and TV. It is very comfortable and quiet.

The lighting system is odd as it has a main switch that you have to turn off at night. This means the bedside lights did not work.

The location was really good, lovely grounds, lush lawns and nice pool amongst the garden area. Nice spot to stay for a few days, if time permitted, and just relax beside the pool. Not just a drive in and out setting. unfortunately dining room wasn't open for dinner but just walked across the lawn to property next door for dinner which was very nice and good value also.

only stayed the one night so didn't find anything unsatisfactory.

The manager Juliette couldn't be any more helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and was so friendly. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat at the restaurant but I'm sure we will get the chance next time. We would definitely recommend this motel to anyone wanting a clean, quiet and comfortable stay in Chinchilla. Thank you Juliette and staff, we will definitely stay again.

Nothing we didn't like.

The Great Western Motor Inn was on the outskirts of town, a short drive into the town centre. We were not bothered by any highway traffic. The grounds were extensive and beautifully kept. If the weather had been warmer, I would have swam in the pool. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised to find our twin room was larger than we expected, having a queen bed and 3 singles - and there was a bath!

Room was lovely and clean. Our furchild got his own blanket for the duration of the stay and there was a chewy snack for him when we arrived.

We were not told that the Restaurant would be closed and had to make alternative plans for dinner.

own breakfast thanks, units spaced out with lawns, far enough from road not to hear traffic, convenient to have quality restaurant on site, rooms light and airy with glass slider to veranda, NOT a black hole with mini window like many motels
