Country Road Motel

Good sized clean motel room with a comfortable bed. Surprisingly good night sleep as the motel is between a main road and a train line, didn't notice any noise. Onsite pool (though we didn't use it). Eateries are a short drive away. The popular Sovereign Tavern served up a lovely pasta.

The smoke from fellow visitors and staff wafting across as we were enjoying sitting outside.

The location was a little out of town and we got lost Breakfast for me was not good. We ordered fruit juice that was good and scrambled egg where the egg was not scrambled but was one plain solid omelette on toast. There was no seasoning or taste

The function we went to made us come in late and I was very conscious of trying to be quiet not to wake others nearby. Everthing I touched was noisy eg the tap at basin and water running down the pipes. Normally this would not be a problem. The bed was reasonable but not extremely comfortable. We did not sleep well

After notifying the owner that we would be arriving late in our truck, after driving 10 hours we were so thrilled to arrive and find the lovely owner had turned on the air conditioning so when we arrived our room was not only clean and fresh but wonderful and cool so we could shower and jump straight into bed without having to wait for the room to cool down ! The bed was so comfortable and we would highly recommend staying here.

The room was a good size and nice and warm on a cold night. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom and room were very clean. We had everything we needed for a one night stay. You can walk to Tower Hill from here. Even though close to busy road we didn’t hear traffic noise.

had never been to Charters Towers before had to travel for a children's sporting carnival. friends had already booked here so I booked also. When we arrived the owner was very pleasant and welcoming , when we got to the rooms we all commented on how fresh and clean the rooms were. The outside the hotel does look to be older but it is very well looked after and if i had to go back to Charters Towers again I would stay here.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The parking was good. The option of breakfast to your room was fantastic. There was even an option for a packed lunch. True hospitality.

The price was a little higher than usual. This is the same across the Town though.

Large rooms, clean and tidy and was in a good location. Loved the microwave and toaster. Very friendly staff and well kept yard and pool

The toilet/shower door had to be open to allow access to open the shower cubicle door. Not ideal when travelling with friends. Difficult to fill the jug in the small bathroom sink.

The property owner was very kind, thoughtful and helpful. They were very accomodating of our situation. The facilities were clean and comfortable and close to all amenities. The area was calm and relaxing.

The noise of the air conditioning unit was a little loud when going to sleep.

Nice clean and spacious room, renovated bathroom, uncover parking was appreciated as it was raining and we had camping gear on the roof rack.

Good location on the main road, traffic noise didn't worry us, but my wife did hear one train during the night which pass behind the Motel.

Nice clean room, reverse cycle air conditioning made it cosey and warm on the cold winter night that I stayed. Nice hot shower with plenty of pressure. Easy access parking.
