Whitsunday on The Beach

The location was great. The public pool and beach just out the gate in one direction and the Main Street out the other gate. Best location and they offer secure parking (though at an additional charge).

Parking is tight, thankfully due to the location being central I opted to leave my car and walk everywhere or get a bus pickup for any cruises, otherwise I’m not sure I would have always had a spot I would have fitted in when I got back. Some of the smaller cars took up the spaces designated for larger cars and there was no way my car would have fitted in the smaller spaces. I would have been forced to find alternative parking.

I stayed here in late 2023 and this was a return visit. An older style motel accommodation. Very central location. Close to all the shops and lots of good cafes etc. which is a bonus. Older accommodation but has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Shower good. All facilities for preparing meals if needed. Room very clean and beds very comfortable. Noise factors not too bad given its very central location. Easy walk to the waterfront and beach and transport if needed.

Apartment no.6 on 1st floor at front of the complex is fully self contained and fitted with two sets of glass sliding doors to balconies which overlook the marvellous lagoon at Airlie Beach. The complex is situated on the main street filled with many shops, restaurants and music playing venues. The queen sized bed was extremely comfortable, bed linen crip and clean and bath towels thick and white.

The bathroom was a little outdated but is soon to be refurbished.

Brilliantly friendly staff, spotlessly cleaned unit , location you could not fault , large rooms for children if they have games / toys etc, cooking facilities adequate to make a family meal if needed, larger fridge and freezer, 2 minutes walk to supermarket, chemist, bottle shop. Smoking sections near units if required. Lower units have car park out your front door if you are staying for only a few nights and did not want to unpack everything , good aircon that kept whole unit at desired temperature. Restaurants and pub 1 minute away . Lagoon is outside you door so you don’t need to use public facilities.

Maybe shower needed re grout but with the last 2 years you cannot have too higher expectations on maintenance spending BUT it was still adequate for the price and cleaned to max.

The couple who own/look after this motel were so lovely and accommodating and made sure we were settled in. Fantastic location in main street but suprisingly not noisy. Very clean basic accommodation,great shower and beds were all very comfortable. I would definately stay again

I think what absolutely made it different for me was the friendliness and helpfulness of Tracy and michael, the managers there. Plus the beautiful view from the balcony over the ocean. The apartments was very comfortable.

Location right across fro airlie lagoon , grocery store one block away as well as pharmacy n walk in clinic on block away just in case . Love kitchenette simple accommodations but great asset . On site laundry as well

Enjoyed my stay very nice location with lagoon and ocean views with palm trees out the back. Prime location in the heart of the street with very close access to pubs cafes and food locations right out the front within meters.

Location was excellent, beds were superb, rooms were well equipped , staff friendly and helpful

Poor building is old and tired, obviously built in 60s to 70s. Scruffy looking in places

This was a great location. Central to everything so walking and no need to take the car out. The room was basic but clean. It can be a little loud late into the evening with revellers on Main Street. The staff were friendly and helpful.
