We didn’t like how cold the pool was, on booking to stay at Parkes we chose this motel because of the ‘heated’ pool as we had an 8 year old with us. He was disappointed that he couldn’t have a swim as he was looking forward to it

Room was clean and tidy and spacious. On-site restaurant served really good dinner meals and basic breakfast (and well priced) - but only open during the week. Staff very polite.

Being on the main road there was a little bit of road noise from passing vehicles but not enough to be a big concern. Was in upstairs room so access only by stairs (no lift) so awkward with large bags and for those staying upstairs were not permitted to park in front of building (reserved for ground level rooms - upstairs have to park on other side of carpark)

We had been travelling for over a month. The shower pressure was the best we had for the entire trip. The room was clean but outdated.

Rooms/bathroom/air conditioning unit was very outdated and needs upgrading. The air conditioner/heater was very loud and rattled all night, we needed to leave it on as it was minus 4 degrees Celsius overnight. But the noise from the heating kept us awake all night. The shower flooded the entire floor despite turning the pressure down lower. Although the disability facilities in the bathroom were great.

Felt very retro staying there which we liked. Only motel we found on our tour that had a swimming pool. Unheated but still a bonus. Good home cooked food for dinner. Could have a cup of coffee outside our room as there was a table and chairs and coffee provided. Nice big comfortable bed. Big shower. Toiletries good.

Pool was unheated though it is supposed to have solar panels to do so. The location was out of town so not able to walk to the shops or cafes.

Very friendly staff, well organised, room tidy and clean. We didnt use the restaurant but menu looked good. Recommend

Given pool is an indoor pool was hoping it would have been warm enough to swim in but it was not. Not serving breakfast on a Saturday morning (we knew this ahead of time, but meant we had to go elsewhere to find brekkie)

Craig is a great host, communication was great regarding the booking even on the day. He is even astute enough to ensure his commercial (roadwork gangs) and holiday visitors are separated to ensure everyone is happy. Very quiet both times we’ve stayed there.

We stayed in a disabled room. The room was equipped with all our needs. Shower chair, grab rail and had a fridge for medication. It was roomy and the beds were comfortable.

We were happy with the property. And would use it again when visiting Parkes

Andrew was lovely and called to advise of a situation with the hot water, was happy to find us a new motel. We decided to stay anyway and when we arrived the hot water service was fixed but it was nice to be told about what to expect. Bathrooms were huge, we had an adjoining room which was great with 4 kids. Rooms were well layed out and spacious

I heard a delivery truck this Saturday morning around 7 a.m. It was really loud when it backed up to the motel restaurant door. The delivery trolley and driver made so much noise."

I miss having a comfortable chair to sit on. Could not change the input on the TV to HDMI so I could watch a movie from my laptop. A small microwave would be nice for the mothers with babies
