Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charlottesville-UVA, VA

I can't thank you all especially Giovani at the front desk. She worked with us and making sure we were able to extend our time at the hotel due to an issue with our car. We had to get it serviced at the local Volvo dealership. Didn't know how long it would take. We were coming from IL and had no other option but to rent a vehicle and stay in Virginia a few extra days. The breakfast and staff were amazing. Loved the cleanliness of the facility. Work out room was a plus as well as the sitting room area.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like. The hotel was safe and clean and staff accommodating us with all our needs.

The hotel is located in close proximity to the UVA Hospital and campus. The property is centrally located to the highway , grocery store and restaurant options. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, able to stay in same room with the extension of my stay without a problem. The room was clean, modern with a microwave and small fridge. The breakfast is good with hot and cold options, including fruit.

The parking is tight , since the lot is shared with the adjacent hotel. I did always find a spot. Only one entrance to enter the building, most go through main lobby to enter and exit

Breakfast was good. The waffles were the best. I liked the cheese omelette but optional veggies would be nice. The exercise bike was good but there’s only one . Rooms were quiet and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice grill and two other choices of restaurant s open late just 2 blocks away in the mall.

There could be more than one exercise bike. I would have liked a tub in the bathroom but the showers was excellent. The surroundings were a bit lackluster, highways and parking lots.

We loved everything about this location. The check in was quick and easy. This was our first overnight stay with my husband becoming disabled and being in a powerchair. We were very nervous about it all. While checking out our vehicle had broken down and we have no way to transport home for quite a few hours. The manager on duty was so nice and caring with us. He let us hang out in the lobby for HOURS while trying to find transport and never once made us feel uncomfortable. He went out of his way to make a very stressful time just a little better. The world could definitely use more people like him!

We loved everything

We were staying because my husband was having surgery at UVA. We were very pleased with Country Inn and Suites. The room was very clean and exceptionally quiet. The beds were comfortable. The staff from front desk check in to breakfast staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn’t check out the pool since this was a medical visit to Charlottesville but we would expect it to be as exceptional as the rest of the hotel.

We liked everything!

I’m rating this hotel a 10 not only because the very nice concierge upgraded my last-minute reservation to a king suite. Country Inn & Suites Charlottesville veritably checked off the fundamentals on my list: fantastic value for the price, comfort, cleanliness, great staff, and good location (within minutes of Downtown/Historic Charlottesville). And more. The king size bed was plush and comfortable, the shower pressure was strong, the Wi-Fi signal was solid, and check-out was at noon. After reaching the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, this was the right place to get a good night’s rest.

Great location. attractive lobby and outdoor plantings were very nice.

the air conditioner made loud noises all night which prohibited sleep. it was to late to have repaired and did not want to repack to go to another room. we toughed it out, but did make staff aware of the problem when checking out. She was nice and gave us a $10.00 discount that we did not request. i almost wish they had not bothered, but instead be more assuring they would have it repaired before their next guest for the room.

The room and hotel was very clean. Front desk staff were delightful even when we were a little loud coming in one evening they asked us to quiet down very nicely. Will come back if ever in the area again. Plenty of hot water and the water pressure was great. a/c worked VERY WELL Washer and Dryer to use was a nice bonus.

We had to have our room cards reprogrammed every day.

The staff member that greeted us upon check in was lovely. The hotel was clean and updated. The pillows were rather small, When I booked the hotel I asked for high floor, extra pillows and towels. Got all three. I was impressed by that. The breakfast was just ok. The breakfast staff were great and the kitchen area was very clean and the staff kept up with replenishing the food. I would stay there again and recommend this hotel.

The pictures on the internet are deceptive--the room was much smaller than expected and the site is jammed in with other motels--not a "Country Inn". The biggest complaint , however, is that there is NO exhaust fan in the bathroom which makes sharing it very uncomfortable.
