Hampton Inn Selinsgrove/Shamokin Dam

The breakfast was great, a lot to choose from! My picky daughter was able to eat a good breakfast to stay the day and my other daughter loved being able to make her own waffles. Also the pool was a deal breaker, had to have a pool for my girls. They went in several times during our two day stay.

There was only one complaint I had. There was one staff member who was not friendly at all but all of the others were extremely nice and talked me through certain things.

Unfortunately, Booking.com got our reservation incorrect. I booked 3 rooms for one night and upon arrival there were only 2 rooms booked. The hotel did have one more room for us however I couldn't get the Booking.com rate. The desk clerk, Amy Burd was exceptional in correcting the error. She spent close to an hour on the phone with Booking.com and Hilton to assure us we wouldn't be penalized due to the error on Booking.com's part. She was very helpful. Though the process took an hour, not her fault, she was able to accommodate us.

We were disappointed that the pool and spa were closed for renovation. Was not aware of this until we walked in the door.

The property was very clean and comfortable

I’m from that area, and have family/friends there so I don’t have to stay at a hotel. The only reason I did this time, and the ONLY reason I stayed here and not somewhere closer & less inexpensive, was to take my granddaughter swimming. Imagine my disappointment when upon checking in, there was a note at the desk telling you the pool & hot tub was closed. Even though on their sign outside it states pool & hot tub. I don’t want to hear the Covid excuse. I manage a pool at the property where I am employed, and our pool was open last year. Other facilities in Pennsylvania have their pools open as well. The pool was the only reason I chose to stay here instead of at my sister’s. So without the other accommodations, this was a very pricey night.

Booked a king room, its more like a suite. It is very spacious and has 2 windows. Bed was just a bit to hard for me, (my opinion). I like to book rooms like this if I'm staying for 3 days or longer. Its nice to have a couch so you dont have to sit on bed all the time.

I guess (for my liking) the bed was to hard, but that's it.

Breakfast was ok with several choices. Near good shopping stores.

Food was lukewarm, waffle maker was broken,and fresh fruit had a preservative aftertaste. Hotel was hidden on a side road that was hard to see. We passed it a few times looking.

The guy at the front desk during my entire stay was amazing. I told him I was there for work an I leave at 5:30am but breakfast isn’t till 6am. He made sure I was able to get breakfast before I left that was super awesome

There were little white bugs by my door

Location, amenities, cleanliness, hot buffet breakfast, modern facilities, comfortable beds, friendly staff.

The price was very high but that was the case everywhere during Graduation weekend.

Breakfast are so amazing and provide hot food to eat. Wonderful! Also Nice spa/ swimming pool to chill. We will defenitly come back again by next time. Second of all i will add this place to my favorite list so will help me to remember to come back again.

Nothing negative. They are working so hard to keep everything look so neat. Keep it up.

Beautiful room. Stayed for a week in a king suite. Last night, my sister, niece and her 3 kids stayed over. My sister, my niece and myself, slept in king size bed while my 2 nieces and nephew slept on pull out couch. Plenty of room.

Very clean…people working here were very nice, very helpful. Rooms were big enough, spotless. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was roomy.

The driveway in was in an odd spot, poorly lit at night, very awkward to get off of the busy highway. Signage could be better. Lighting would absolutely be better.
