Staff, food, both breakfast and evening, and location were all fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Food was really good and the portion sizes very generous. Location was fantastic, our room had balcony overlooking the Thames and right on the Thames footpath allowing a very pleasant stroll to Hampton Court.

Bed pillows could be more comfortable. The need to book time slot for breakfast every night before is pain and resulted on our last morning in us nearly not getting breakfast as it would appear someone who hadn't booked got in before us and staff were getting ready to pack up when we arrived at our allotted time. There does not appear to be any security around the fire exit by the bedrooms and on one night, at 4am, I found it propped open with a fire extinguisher. A simple guide in the room would be useful explaining the need to book breakfast and times, evening meal times as Sunday finishes at 7.30pm but also has a Sunday day time menu that finishes at 4pm so a little confusing and also telling people not to leave/prop fire exit open.

We were greeted by a young man with a smiley attitude very welcoming took us and our collie showed us our room . Explained fire procedures and the alarm . We had wonderful lunch thick granary bread sandwiches very filling . Room 4 poster really beautiful comfortable and very clean room . Tea coffee biscuits water in room . Lovely balcony with table and chairs looking out over the river weir . We had really good food in evening and really good full English breakfast they even gave myst 2 sausages for breakfast . This place loves dogs and have water bowls and treats for them . The staff are exceptional 👌 . Brilliant night away will definitely be back .

The location, the room, the food, the beer, the staff. The hotel is a bargain. The locals are great. The rooms were full every night . It was rammed with people eating and drinking on the Sunday we arrived and was generally busy all week. It's got bags of charm and personality and when the evenings are a bit lighter I imagine it's amazing. Eat at the hotel to save driving.

We stayed in two different rooms whilst there and both bathrooms were a little tired but with a little bit of tlc and sealant you could improve them and maybe newer taps?

All the staff were excellent and expertly led by Edmund the manager who was there night and day looking after his customers to a very high standard. The room with a balcony overlooking the Thames was a bonus . The Weir is in an outstanding location with walks both ways on the towpath. The food, both dinner and breakfast, is homemade on the premises and was very good. The inside of the pub is a little tired and would benefit from an update but that did not detract from the overall experience which was excellent.

Beautiful setting and excellent staff we had a family meal for 6 outside a wonderful setting pub food everything was good service exceptional. The room was comfortable and lovely and quiet at night. Everywhere is dated and quite tired but this is an independently run business and they work very hard in very difficult times . Breakfast was included and again it was very good cooked to order dogs are welcome and the walks are absolutely stunning by the Thames .We will definitely return.

Nothing to dislike

after following a rather forlorn track (I did wonder where my sat nav was taking me) I arrived plenty of parking spaces a few steps to heave up my case (but help did arrive) checked in and shown to my room the room itself was immaculate with all the essentials (I made myself 4 cups of tea ) I had dinner downstairs beautifully cooked salmon on croute and possibly the nicest chips I’ve had in a long time .. and I fancy myself as a chip connoisseur excellent nights sleep in a comfortable bed ( I’m always cold so managed to obtain an extra duvet from a helpful young man breakfast was delicious I asked for a small portion and that’s exactly what I got perfect I hate it when you receive a loaded plate) the staff were friendly and helpful would definitely recommend

I was told I didn’t have the nicest of rooms mostly as it didn’t have a view but given I sleep with the curtains closed didn’t bother me at all

The owners are friendly, the staff are friendly, and even the locals / regulars are friendly and welcoming. The Weir is one of those rare pubs that has a great vibe about it without needing to spoil it all by having large TVs / sports and loud music. Really good honest proper food, and a good range of beers too. We really enjoyed our long weekend stay.

Really the only thing I can think of is that if you are staying with your dog, make sure it can do stairs - as the staircase to the rooms is a little steep.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was "easy" to check in, get to the room, order supper, and enjoy the hotel. Our room had a balcony with chairs that we could (and did) use. Most places in the USA are too cautious about balconies, but we were able to enjoy the view and the weather from there.

The water pressure in the shower was a little low, but this is an older structure and this is not a complaint; simply responding to the question.

Excellent value for money. Arrived at about 7.30 pm and although very busy we were shown our room and shown where the fire exits were. We had an evening meal, very good choice and they serve until 9.30 pm, an added bonus. The full English breakfast was awesome as was the coffee, delicious. Our room with the four poster bed was .more than large enough for us, with an ensuite bathroom

Okay so somethings are starting to look a little tired and the shower seemed to have a mind of its own nevertheless there was plenty of hot water.

Great location with plenty walking down towpath. Lovely pub. Good food. Great breakfast and staff very nice. Wonderful place for dogs. Very welcoming. Highly recommend as a place to visit London from: take the train in - 20 m to Waterloo , but leave your car parked for free in a safe place and come home to a pub drink overlooking the Weir :))

Narrow stairs up. Not good for people with disabilities. But it's an old building with plenty charm.
