The location was perfect as it enabled me easy access to the Inn and to get back on the main roads the next morning for my journey back home to Swindon. The bar and restaurant staff were great and the service was spot on. The food is very good and their is a great choice on the menu, including vegan. My steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The bed was very comfortable and i had a great nights sleep (helped no doubt by a few glasses of red wine, lol). The breakfast arrangements and the full english that i ordered the previous day, was exceptional. I'd recommend this place and i'll certainly visit again if i have to stop over whilst working in area.

If i was being picky, i'd say a bit of black pudding wouldn't have gone a miss with breakfast, but thats just my personal preference and did not detract from the meal in any way. As a solo traveller on business, i would have preferred a table to work on in my room, the coffee table was just a little on the small and low side. Again, this is just a personal preference as i usually do a few hours work on the laptop before i eat.

The Oakhill Inn was lovely. We received a really warm welcome from Wayne when we arrived who showed us to our room which spacious and clean. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent. This was repeated in the morning with our breakfast which was included in our stay. We'd definitely return if we're visiting the area again.

Some of the furniture in the room was a little tired compared to the aesthetic of the communal pub/restaurant area. We still loved the room though so it wasn't something we disliked.

Located in a tiny village, the hotel is really quaint with modern touches. The rooms are a great size and tea/coffee making and hairdryer are provided. There are also plenty of sockets for charging phones etc. The bed was super comfortable with amazing bedding! Breakfast portions are enormous! Everything is made with local ingredients and the quality is clear. This applies to the evening menu too - the homemade pie was my favourite! All food is freshly homemade and delicious. Above all the staff make this an amazing place to stay. Wayne, Gill and the team couldn't do enough for us and are the nicest, most helpful team. Thank you guys for a really great stay!

Not a criticism, but be aware that this is an old building and, as such, the floor in your room will be a little uneven and the floorboards do creak. Also there are stairs to access the rooms. There is also some road noise but this is only really at peak times. I still slept well.

Everything. My partner and I work together and have to travel 2 hours each way for our client regularly. We decided to stay here to cut travel time and sleep more as we had an early start. Staff - Wayne welcomed us with such friendly and open arms. Very casual and comfortable check in at the bar and the bar / restaurant itself is so homely. Not too busy but busy enough creating a very cosy and enjoyable atmosphere. Noticed the staff are familiar with many locals names too which was and is lovely. Chef was wonderful. Max - great guy who sat and chatted with me as I asked to postpone breakfast time. He was very easy going and accommodated so well.

Every thing was perfect!

Wayne is the Host with the Most. Lovely room, cosy bar (with sofas by open fire), great restaurant (good choice). Great breakfast menu with a few choices of poached eggs on avocado, the full English, scambled eggs etc, all very delicious. After spending a cold February day at the Showground (12 mins drive) the hot bath (Room 1) was pure luxury! Wayne and his team are very attentive and if anything is not quite right, they put it right immediately. With a smile. Definitely will stay again.

nothing.

Lovely welcome from Wayne and his staff. Exceptional quality and service. Clean, quaint atmosphere with log fires . Food is so tasty and a good selection on the menu, piping hot. Recommend the pie of the day, very large,so don't eat too much if ordering it. Steak cooked to perfection. Hot breakfast, good choice. Good location for Glastonbury area.

Would like a crumble or steam pudding on dessert menu. Maybe serve the gravy in a gravy boat so customers can put their own desired amount on the meals.

The room was very spacious and the bathtub was lovely for a little spa moment! All the personnel at the Oakhill Inn was extremely friendly and happy to have a little chat with you which we both enjoyed. The breakfast was also delicious!

It was a bit noisy due to the popular road that the inn is located next to. However straight after our visit they were working on getting double glass windows so that might help with the traffic sounds.

Lovely breakfast, freshly cooked with quality produce, staff really welcoming and helpful. We ate in the restaurant each night and both of us were enjoyed our meals, the veggie curry was par excellence! The room was adequate in size, lovely and clean, bed super comfy, lovely sleep, the shower in the bathroom was brilliant, easy temperature control and really good water pressure, We enjoyed our stay.

Only thing I would nit pick is maybe an upgrade on the loo roll would be good!

The staff were very attentive it had a very homely feel. Very relaxing vibe. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. The food was absolutely fabulous some of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and so reasonably priced. I would definitely go back if I was to bf in that neck of the woods. I can highly recommend this establishment.

Looks nothing out of the ordinary from outside but full of rustic charm & character inside. Arrived on a Saturday evening & it was very busy with local trade but the staff were very welcoming & accommodating. Had homemade pizzas from the evening menu which were very good. The room was very clean & comfortable & the cooked breakfast was superb.

Location wise it is right on the corner of a junction with the A37 near the centre of the village. The main frontage is on the narrow side street which has very limited parking spaces & there is no reserved area for dropping off/picking up. The Hotel car park is along the main road about 25 yards away but that is very small with limited spaces. A little explanation in the welcoming pack of how the shower controls worked would have been useful, as it was the temperature control had virtually seized in the very hot position probably because nobody knew how to adjust it.
