We loved everything! Beautiful place and the owner has a passion for this place. It's cozy, welcoming, and so much attention to detail. The food is outstanding! Chef came out and made sure that everyone is happy! The plates were stunning, the presentation perfect, and the staff members so politely explained every meal that was put in front of us! Big shout out to Bar Host John and the boys who worked hard! The rooms are simple but very elegant, the bathrooms are amazing, owners definitely have good taste. Comfortable beds! Breakfast! Amazing, again so much attention to the details, they do think about you as a customer! Thank you, you all made our stay wonderful and we will return! Highly recommend this place for staying over, for foodies, weddings, or date nights!

Very kind hosts who go out of their way to help you and did exactly just that for me when I needed some clothes drying. The room was spotless and very comfy and has everything you need! Breakfast is amazing and overall was a very nice experience!

Evening menu is a bit limited and is quite pricey - although it is very nice food and worth the price! But if you just wanted something quick and easy there is no option, it’s either a £30 gourmet style dish or nothing.

Fabulous location and outstanding restaurant for dinner. Cosy room with character.

Having to pre-order breakfast. You never quite know how you’ll be feeling in the moment. When it’s so beautifully cooked and fresh, it would be super to have the flexibility to order on the day. The bedroom could do with a mirror and small dressing table, with chair and plug, to put on makeup and dry hair. Sitting on the bed to do this, wasn’t ideal.

On arrival for checkin the owner/chef was the only person there as had been left hugely short staffed due to COVID but we were greeted with open arms and was extremely helpful. He even went beyond and allowed us to have our breakfast served in our lodge at the time we requested. The Inn was newly decorated and looked amazing, a proper gastro location and attention to detail, serving a great range of ales. Homemade cookies with artisan teas and coffees in the room was a great touch. Will be back and will definitely book for evening meal as there was clearly a real passion for that side of things and homegrown/local produce

Couldn't fault it

The Holcombe was set in a very peaceful place, with cows in the surrounding farms. The room was amazing, clean, and quiet. It had a lovely roll-top bath in it. Dinner was delicious at their restaurant. They went above and beyond by leaving me out fresh croissants for breakfast, as they knew I would be leaving earlier than breakfast started.

Everything we were welcomed and made to feel at home the rooms were very comfortable and clean as for the food it was probably the best food we have eaten when staying anywhere will be recommending to anyone and everyone.

The bar and restaurant area are very nice. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant in the evening and the breakfast was also excellent. Staff were very nice and welcoming.

We stayed in the Roost and it rained overnight so we could hear the rain all night. Also the bed was only a standard double.

Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. This is not the place to go to for a burgher and chips. The food was above expectations. Also a great nights sleep. Will definitely go back when next in area.

Petty on my part - but large waste bin in bedroom would help.

Beautiful location , lot’s of nature and farms around . Property grows its own vegetables and the breakfast chef was skilled and very forthcoming by providing allergy friendly dishes . All the staff were lovely .

Mattress was way too soft , but other than that everything was great

Breakfast was full of choice and managed in an exceptional way in that we knew when we were going to eat and it was cooked exactly to order and on time. Management were exceptional...did we sleep well, were our meals to our liking. The evening meal was superb, our compliments to the chef. Easy parking Clean as a whistle everywhere

We found the base sheet almost too large for the mattress and so it rucked up a mite uncomfortably. But probably due to room service not on hand unless requested due to Covid and we didn't request Bar and front door closed at 8.00pm on Sundays and we almost got locked out. But again essentially our fault as the situation was catered for and we left our keys on the desk which would have given us access. Maybe a word to remind us as we left our keys?.
