location was ok, room was small and bathroom very small In executive room.

bar and working staff were well mannered, although I felt the manager (make) was somewhat dismissive and not as attentive as he should have been. The food we ordered although with a bill of over £300 was burnt and not at all to the standard we expected. granted 1 of the burgers that was frazzled was taken off the bill and we we given a free round of drinks, it didn’t make up for the rest of the meals, with the exception of 1, that was substandard, over cooked or burnt. (total 9 meals)

Check in was fine. The food was good - especially the delicious breakfast. Staff were really good.

Our room was quite small, with only one desk chair, soho where at all to relax after our meal. I hate sitting on a bed to relax, as I find it very uncomfortable, so I hated it. The bathroom was all right, though the cheap plastic toilet seat was not good. The shower was over the bath and I was anxious all the time about slipping. There needed to be some grab rails on the wall, in my opinion. It was a narrow bath, so you had to stand sideways to shower. Not to my liking, either.

Lovely country pub, lovely staff that were super helpful! Super comfy bed! We will stay here again for sure.

The food was fair but could be better, just misses the mark for me to say's its great food but it is still nice food - just not as tasty as you want/expect (we had steak and lamb shank). And (this is not establishments fault but have to be honest as by the nature of the set up it is a risk if staying here) but we did have very disturbed sleep due to other guests banging on doors at 1am and 2am to get in (They must not of listened to the clear instructions given by the team on out of hours access). The rooms just need a little tlc also!

The room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was well presented and plenty of it. The meals in the restuarant were very good and reasonably priced. The bar area was very comfortable with a fine selection of beers.

Some of the decor in the room was a little worn and there wasn't any soap in the room on arrival. This was corrected when pointed out. There was sometimes abit of a wait to be served in the restaurant and the bar.

Lovely homely pub surroundings with big beer garden and no TV screens. Excellent food and drinks. Nice breakfast. Nice mix of real ales and regular beers. Largeish children's play area outside. Staff very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Lovely big rooms, old style. Large ensuite with nice showers. (We had 3 rooms between our party). Tea and cafetiere coffee in rooms. Big car park with electric car charger..

Nothing.

The hotel was in a beautiful location and was only a short distance from Lower Peover to visit St.Oswalds church and the Bells of Peover pub. Our room was spacious with a lovely four poster bed. The bed was very comfy and the room had all amenities even filter coffee and hot chocolate! We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was well presented and reasonably priced. The full english the next morning was really good and we also enjoyed the pastries on offer. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Nothing.

The hotel was nice and the staff were very accommodating - I was able to check in and pick up keys even before the normal time, since I was heading to a wedding at a venue nearby. Breakfast was great, it was cooked fresh. The room was large, and very peaceful after a busy night out.

Not related to the property at all, but taxis in the area are really sporadic - I ended up having to drive to the wedding venue as all of the taxi companies I spoke to had no one available in the area as soon as I told them where I was. This applied both to and from the venue, so organising a taxi back to the hotel took some time also.

Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was very good Staff were very friendly and very courteous service Quiet area and lots of parking space, with electric charging points. The beer on tap was excellent.

This is not exactly did not like, but an observation. The carpets seem bit worn and could be due for change pretty soon. A phone in the room or on floor to reach reception would have been convenient. Not a big issue as we could go down one floor to put the request and the excellent staff service were at our room door delivering within 5 minutes.

Stayed at the Golden Pheasant whilst in Cheshire attending a family wedding. We have relatives who have stayed before and were also booked in again..Cracking location not far off the M6 and central to where the wedding was in Great Budworth and the venue was also close by at the Holford Estate..Excellent breakfast in the morning at the Golden Pheasant which was good value for money. Staff were polite and respectful and helped with any questions/issues we had. Will def stay again.

Everything was good. No negative issues with anything.

Nice comfortable room. Food was very good. Good selection of drinks.

The car park seems to be a gathering place for petrol heads all admiring each others cars! As my room was facing the car park and it was very hot I had to keep my windows open, and they went on quite late which was a bit of a pain. I did ask the next day if they actually spend any money in the bar or just use it as free parking?
