The Drummond at Albury

The property was absolutely beautiful and the outside seating area was lovely, really nice to come down and have breakfast there, especially with the nice weather. The rooms were decorated really nicely and had everything you need, coffee, water, biscuits, iron, hairdryer. There was refillable handwash/body wash and condition which smelt absolutely amazing!! The bed was so comfortable! All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do more! The food at the pub was also incredible!

Only that our room was so hot but it was 30 degrees outside, and they’d closed the curtains to try and keep it cooler

It was one of the best places we've ever stayed in. From the friendliness of the staff to the beautiful room. The room had everything we could have needed so clean and tidy. Even the wallpaper was unique. It really felt special. We loved that we could tell that the food was British and even where it came from. We had steak ( so well cooked) in the evening. The breakfast was so good nothing was too much trouble. Extra tea, water juice. We can't wait to go back and wish we didn't have to leave

My wife and I have just left the Drummond in Albury and felt we had to share our fantastic experience - the whole team that works there deserves high praise indeed and we will definitely return! The Stay: Our bedroom was fantastic, spotlessly clean and modern yet with enough “old world” touches to give it charm and individuality. Fantastic beds, crisp linen - we slept very well. The Food: Just amazing. I have not had a better steak diane (fillet) and full English breakfast than the ones served here; they use a very high quality specialist butchers (Jimmy Butler’s Blythburgh Farm) to source their meats. My wife was delighted with her crisp tasty chicken schnitzel and smashed avocado for breakfast - the chefs . The service: charming, friendly and attentive (without being overbearing!), the people that work here genuinely seem to care about doing a good job for you and making sure you are happy. Summary. Overall an top tier boutique hotel/ pub dining experience delivered with charm and enthusiasm throughout by a hard working staff. Fantastic value for money. Thank you Team Drummond for making our “day off from parenting” so special. We left feeling spoiled, well fed and can wholeheartedly recommend a stay, meal (or both!) with you.

Beautiful pub and amazing friendly staff. We only stayed one night, but both the room and food was super good, breakfast was perfect. The garden section with the stream running at the bottom was beautiful, had the sun through evening but even after it set there pergola had heaters and tables with blankets. Would 100% stay again if in the area.

Room was nice, some dated decor but all fitting for the age of the pub. One main plug socket didn't work, nothing too inconvenient though. All very minor in the grand scheme of things.

Beautifully appointed, comfy beds, super friendly staff, great menu, lovely inside and out. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Delightful garden/outdoor area next to a stream.

As beautiful as it is, you must consider it is a pub/restaurant. If you’re a night owl this is ok. We were kept awake by a group of guys in the garden (under our window) for hours and a family running around in a nearby room and the next morning deliveries turned up early. In winter with closed windows it’s probably fine.

The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable, nice big bathroom. The staff were all super helpful and polite. Breakfast was very tasty. Value for money.

There was a serious damp issue on one of the walls in the bedroom which didn’t bother us as we were there for just one night but needs to be addressed. The bathroom didn’t have a single hook where to hang a towel or a dressing gown. As it was Sunday the bar closed early which was disappointing as there was nowhere else to go in the village either.

Probably THE cleanest room I have ever stayed in (Room 3)! Immaculate housekeeping with attention to detail in every single area. Bed was comfortable with great linen and bathroom spacious and a great refreshing shower. The staff were all friendly and polite and the General/Duty Manager was very professional and helpful. Highly recommended and will be returning if staying for work again in the area!

Hard to find something I didn't like........the room key! Probably needs replacing but VERY stiff and awkward to get into the external door that leads up to the rooms and at one point impossible and also very stiff to get into the lock in the bedroom door.

This is a gorgeous little hotel, with just-renovated and well appointed rooms in a 17th century building - so you get a wonderful historic feeling alongside a brand new bathroomand shower. We ate at the restaurant both nights (reserve ahead as it is popular), and were very well taken care of with great service and lovely food. The included breakfast (ordering anything off the main menu) was delicious, and we really appreciated the long hours from 8am - 11am. They were kind enough to store our bags on Sunday morning after we checked out so we could tour the nearby cheese farm (Norbury Park - don't miss it, along with the Silent Pool Distillery tour and Mandira's kitchen for lunch). Great stay from start to finish, hihly recommended!

We were there during the heatwave so a fan in every room would have been great (all the available fans were already in use by the time we checked in), but we slept with all the windows open and it ended up being fine - the building is well designed to be ventilated with open windows.

On arrival we were met by friendly staff who were attentive and relaxed. The room was clean and well presented; much bigger than we expected. Although the bar and restaurant were clearly popular the room was quiet and the breakfast was perfect. The food seems locally sourced and our luxury breakfast of smoke salmon and scrambled eggs was perfect. The staff were so lovely and friendly. The food, both breakfast and evening meals were comparable for the area.

No complaints at all.

This is a gem of a property. Beautifully finished to a high standard and offered so many amenities in the room, from extra pillow, to a fan and an ironing board. The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast and evening meals were superb and the staff were incredibly helpful. The village and surrounding countryside is the England of chocolate boxes. Beautiful. Trying to find an excuse to revisit.
