Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa

I have stayed at this hotel 6 times already and with no doubts I can say that this is one of the best resorts in Thailand and probably in the whole SE Asia. There is nothing similar available in Australia where I am from. Like all Marriott hotels it's not cheap but this particular one tops my list of all Marriott hotel I've ever been to. Facilities are great, staff are amazing, rooms are comfortable and they have the best breakfast selection I've ever seen in my life. I am bit tired of Hua Hin but I still keep coming there only because if this hotel. Hats off to a management team!

Extremely comfortable room which overlooked the beautifully maintained pools and garden. I really enjoyed swimming here. The room and balcony are both spacious. Loved the spa facilities but take the Thai massage only if you really know what you're in for! Seems like a great place to have a family holiday - there are multiple activities and pools for kids that were being availed and enjoyed by guests with children.

The breakfast rate wasn't included and was quite steep in addition to the room. There are two restaurants, Amber Kitchen and Big Fish that offer breakfast, and while Amber has a wideee variety of delicious options, the other barely had a fifth of Amber's variety but charged the same rate. This didn't make any sense. The resort is at the beach but beware of jellyfish!

The Resort layout was wonderful allowing for separate spaces for Adults & Children (pool & bathing areas). The Superior room was large, and very comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the inside of the resort. The multiple Food & Beverage options were also great. I will return again for sure, thanks to Khun George and the Marriott Team.

we got a room that was on the 6 th floor- but it was battered by the noise from the main road. we had paid extra but that was not fair and there was no response to our complaints

This is a high end hotel experience. Very welcoming staff (everyone says hello and always a ready smile), excellently maintained grounds - two pools one for adults only an a great sun deck right by the beach. Breakfast selection was extensive and the quality superb. We had a deluxe queen room with sea views and it was a big room with a balcony. Very clean and very comfortable (the lady who cleaned the room did a great job). Obviously not the cheapest option in Hua Hin but you get what you pay for (we visited some other hotels with similar prices and we thought the Marriot was better). Location is super central and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping and night market. We only ate at the on-site fish restaurant once during our stay but it was superb service and quality (if a bit pricey by Hua Hin standards). I'd recommend this hotel for a bit of luxurious R&R.

The main bar at reception was a bit soulless, the on site bar by the beach is a better for a post dinner drink.

Exceptional service in every department. Everyone that work at the facilities, from check in desk to breakfast staff, cleaners, pool service and service staff makes you feel like their most special guest. They are so polite, helpful and do their best to add a personal service. We loved that the breakfast staff very soon memorized where we wanted to sit for breakfast, what we would like to drink and joked with our kids. My child had an incident in the sea with jellyfish and the medical staff at the hotel took great care of him. Fantastic food both for breakfast, and in all the restaurants at the hotel. The hotel facilities are really great - always lots of free sunbeds, plenty of activities and different pools for the kids and very clean. Location of the hotel is also very good. Only few minutes to the nearest market place, and about 10 minutes walk to a bigger shopping centre.

The facilities were excellent although the resort is very family friendly we had a wonderful peaceful time at the adults pool. Kun Milk was phenomenal - his service was uncomparable. It was like we had our own personal butler. The hotel is very large, but the service from the staff is very personal. The breakfast staff were also amazing even though they were extremely busy, Kun Note has the most infectious smile Kun Noi took the time to chat to us. Breakfast selection was excellent - many many choices. Location is superb and the lobby staff were always available with attraction advice. It's was a wonderful break from Bangkok and we will return again for sure.

Almost everything. Good Resort layout. Splendid rooms, exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, everywhere very clean. Fitness and spa area, including changing and shower facilities are first class. Great choice of pools and sunbathing areas. Plenty to keep children amused. Quiet during the evening and night. Nice touches with bed turn down trinkets and towel art. Constant top-up of cool drinking water when sun lounging. Lovely rooms and eception area.

Resort didn't enforce no 'reserving' of sunbeds. A lot of beds 'reserved' 5 or 6 hours before people used them. Rooms are well laid out and spacious but could do with a little more storage area for clothes.

Breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety, loved it. The room was sparkless clean as it should, mattress was very comfortable, stuff was super kind as always. Excellent Fitness center, with enough machines. The location is on the beach, very beautiful. also very close to Market Village Mall by foot, and other excellent places and massage. I will definitely come back!

For those who needs/love to stay in the room during the day.. our room was close to the children's pool and it was a bit loud (screaming happy kids).

The room was spacious and clean and staff were friendly. Our reason for staying here for one night was to scope out the property to see if it would be suitable for a family stay. It’s very well suited for families, especially little ones that can enjoy the kid’s pool and all the water installations. Dinner a la carte at Amber Kitchen was delicious.

It wasn’t that cozy Thai, luxurious and romantic atmosphere that we felt staying at the Anantara. It definitely had a more large scale hotel feel. We were disappointed in the dress code for Big Fish Bar and felt like it was a bit over the top. Amber Kitchen was delicious, but again we were looking for that romantic atmosphere which we were hoping to find at Big Fish. The pool bar and restaurant was slow on drinks and under staffed. The menu had lots of mains and very few appetisers. The food coming from Amber kitchen was mediocre and cold at best. Definitely not to 5 star hotel standards.
