CBD Hotel

Everything. To start with, the location is very central to visit Dar Es Salaam or to be in transit in DAR (close to airport, fish market, kariakoo market). Easy access to bajaji and taxis. The receptionist on our first day put us in contact with someone who installed a tanzanian sim on our phone. This changed our lives, we used bolt everytime through our tanzanian number. The porters are incredibly pleasant and helpful. One of the porters even offered to be our guide one morning, we enjoyed his friendly tour. We got a free late check out. Our rooms were always clean and tidy. The restaurant has been helpful many times with good dishes at a decent restaurant price (a bit pricy compared to local street restaurants nearby but it makes sense as this one is a real clean restaurant). The buffet breakfast has a nice egg station and varies everyday. The swimming pool was also very nice on the warm days. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel. It exceeded our expectation. Thank you so much CBD hotel, we hope to be back one day.

The staff were very welcoming and courteous at all times. Management was visible and paid us a visit when husband complained of a mosquito although this really wasnt a serious issue which i thought was going an extra mile to see to it that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Worth mentioning is the Spa lady who gave me one of the best full body massages i have ever had and Yohane who was always eager to help at any particular point. Check in and check out was equally very efficient with friendly and courteous personnel at the reception.

A mosquito had bitten me at nighttime on last stay. And I reported this issue for hotel staff then a hotel staff improve this problem, I can take an enough to sleep this time. And there is enough amenity [Toothbrush, Shaving Kit, Body Lotion, Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gell also Soap] in the Washroom.

I always think that when I will reserve a hotel to use 2 persons for 1 room, but Bath and Face Towel prepare 1 set only. Why can't you install 2 sets? And I reserve a Smoking Room but there is not prepare an ashtray in the room, where shall I smoke? The Smoking Room prepared on 5th Floor of this hotel and 6th Floor has an Athletic Room. then someone should use it from 06:30AM. It is so early in the morning time.

As my first hospitality experience in Tanzania I was graciously welcomed by Idd and the front desk staff who {so sorry I didn't remember everyones name}, made me really feel like Hakuna Matata was here and just let the relaxation start!! EVERYTHING was taken care of, I had my first experience on a boda boda and ate Makanga amazing❣️Thanks Sharifa and Sophia! Sophia and Yohane were soooo patient with me ☺️. The housekeeping staff was supreme the rooms and property are nice and immacculate! I forgot about breakfast, i came down just in time to grab a piece of bread and the staff brought me a full plate of selections and coffee!! Agnes, Sia, the entire staff that I intereacted with were SUPERB! I can't say enough great things about my stay at CBD! THEY REALLY MADE MY first experience in Africa and Tanzania most memborable! I only stayed one night as I was taking the ferry to zanzibar they next day, so I don't have a full experience with the facilities but would I definately book again. Convenient to the ferry and a quick ride from the airport

Great Location - in the city centre Great Staff - they are very friendly and helpful Great Restaurant - especially the Indian food Tasty Breakfast Good Gym - many machines and spacious, although machines are a bit old Two decent bars (one indoors and one outside by the pool) Room is clean and spacious enough.

Swimming pool is very small, cannot really swim in it. No Steam Room Bar closes early (by 10.30pm) TV in the room is small

The staff at this hotel are the outstanding feature. They could not have been more helpful or kind. My train was delayed by 36 hours so. arrived very tired and in need of a hot shower and clean sheets which I got and then some. The staff were able to print some Immigration documents for me and they even went out to buy a kikapu for me because my bag broke on the way. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Notning. But bear in mind this is a business hotel not a boutique. It was exactly what I needed after a very long journey.

Nice looking hotel and clean and tidy rooms. The staff were excellent, notably Yohannes (apologies on spelling) who works welcoming guests, he stood out as being brilliant. The restaurant serves lovely Indian dishes and the swimming pool area and spa were nicely maintained.

Beds were too soft and low for our liking and perhaps more local dishes at breakfast (chapati, soup, etc) could be included more often. Laundry prices were v.expensive so ended up locating local cleaners instead.

Clean, good breakfast, large screen for live premiership games, 15-20min from airport.

Paid $25 for airport transfer, provided details of flights in advance and in person for the return trip. While arrival transfer went smoothly, departure transfer was a disaster! I ended in a hastily arranged taxi cutting it extremely close. I was not pleased or impressed at all!

The moment I stepped into the CBD Hotel I was greeted with smiles from the doorman Benson. Check-in was easier than expected. The front desk receptionist was pleasant. I did arrive very early in the morning, paid the fee which is an extra day (fyi). The room that I was assigned to room 408, the room was clean (I'm one of those that check everything) and welcoming. The bed was soft including the pillows. Breakfast was good I was greeted by Richard-great host. For breakfast, you can see they try to accommodate the variety of guest they receive. The hotel is close to the ferry. I did not walk to the ferry instead I downloaded BOLT since Uber is not available. If I did not mention you by name I apologize, the whole staff that I encountered was nice and always smiling. Thanks for making my experience memorable, Tia

No ATM or currency exchange, sketchy offers to run out & find exchange (overcharge) Pool area & bathrooms VERY slippery when wet. Pool didn't appear to have access stairs or handrails. No accessible rooms No tour desk Nothing close by, area is not good for exploring by foot Laundry service price was horrendously expensive!
