Oberwaid - Das Hotel.

The bed are like sleeping on clouds. This is the more peaceful hotel I've ever stayed in. The saunas were infusion with aromatherapy. With the lakeside view, you can see the sunrising on the reflection of the water. The receptionist, Mr. Gazmend Gashi was very helpful with coordinating with taxi services. He gave a bunch of different recommendations on things to do in the local area making this trip more memorable.

There was hair on the balcony the first day I checked in but the cleaning lady took care of it the next day.

Staff was amazing and super helpful. Condition of saunas and jacuzzi was on the top level - in general wellness area was super cool. Few additional options to Hamam could be added as wished. The buffet breakfast had lots of options for everyone, also friendly for vegetarians and vegans. The view, from the lake perspective (you need to ask for one just to be sure you will get one) it's truly beautiful.

Two things which could be better: 1. Free parking place - we paid tons of money for the hotel and surprisingly parking place was charged 15CHF per night. 2. One big mattress and bed instead of two on Queen bed option - the beds were separating continously during the night. Either you slept on one side with 2 people or completely separately.

amazing location with a great view over the lake, with short connection to the city centre. Very relaxing & clean spa area. The dinner looked amazing & tasted delicious. And the best was the superb breakfast buffet with various& fresh choices.

you have to pay extra for a parking lot in the garage.

Luxurious hotel with a lot of attention to detail. It has the benefits of a big hotel without the drawbacks: it has the personal touch of a family run hotel - the staff seems very motivated; they were so attentive and helpful. We were comfortable in every way in our spotless room with balcony and lake view. Greatly enjoyed the pool and spa area. Lovely grounds and garden with lots of places to sit and relax.

Some minor details: you could hear the motorway from the room. The restaurant was very good but a bit overpriced.

The room was modern, light and spacious. Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly: we were even given some water for the trip and jam as a gift. The spa and pool areas are amazing, the outdoor whirlpool is a total relaxation. Totally worth it to come there even just for a spa. Great location: close to the highway and St Gallen by car. Dinner option was super, we were even offered a supplement(which never happened before)!

Breakfast could have been organized better during covid. Bread, butter and jam were served to you by the table and you can’t choose, while cheese, cooked eggs, bacon and fruits were in a buffet option, which is not very hygienic from my perspective. I would prefer to have individual breads and packed butter/jam as a buffet and cooked meals to order to the table. But thats very insignificant, i just expected more from the breakfast. Overall it was all super!

Everything in this hotel is well thought of. It is a luxury hotel that disguises itself as a modest one so you feel very comfortable there. The staff is not only very friendly but also very professional.

Great calm & relaxing weekend. I enjoyed the spa place. I hardly recommend you to have a massage at the Tau spa: top-tier!

The restaurant was to pricey for what it really is. The phone in my room wasn’t working I don’t know why. The menu wasn’t available in English in my room so I had to ask for it.

Breakfast was excellent and the spectacular view over the Mountains/lake was an added benifit. Very nice staff, all over. Good option to arrive late.

A little in the high end of the price range ... - but facilities and service was high class (which I guess somewhat explains price level).

So clean and beautiful hotel! Best in this region! Always good to come back and the staff is always so helpful! They always give some small welcome or goodbye gift such as homemade marmelade! Very comfortable beds, beautiful linen, great for walks, spa.... best hotel in St. Gallen and all around!

Excellent location, just a few minutes drive from St-Gallen. Bedroom was huge with a very nice view on the countryside. Huge shower room. Very kind Customer service and excellent Breakfast. Amazing spa with sauna, 2 steam-baths, a swimming pool and a big jacuzzi with high pressure water. Will definitely come back.

Parking should be free for the clients like in most Swiss hotels.
