-The hotel is very well located, just by the old town of St. Gallen. Very convenient. -The place is quiet. -There is a free parking in an underground garage onsite. -The hotel serves a good social purpose, as right next to it is a senior person housing, and the two share a dining facility. -Clean and neat.
-There is not much not to like. The hotel was in line with our expectations and the online description.

The hotel meets or exceeds all criteria important to travelers. No need to add more. However, the caveat:
In the information section it reads innocently: check-in until 5:00pm. That means nobody there. Except instructions at the door how and where to retrieve your keys. If you travel with a car and luggage, arrive before the 5:00pm deadline. The elevator from garage to lobby is disabled.

Location perfect for exploring the historic centre of St. Gallen. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet room. Very good breakfast. Free parking in the centre of the city! The concept of mixing a hotel with the home for the elderly - we enjoyed interaction with the residents.
The room was on the small side but we did not spend much time there anyway.
