Romantik Hotel Säntis

The hotel was well located in the middle of the town. Breakfast had plenty of quality options - particularly fresh bread. Dinner was very tasty and the service was friendly and helpful.

This is a matter of taste but the bed was too soft. We are also used to having a hot water kettle in the room to be able to make hot water but there was no coffee/tea set. The hotel was able to provide us with a flask of warm water which is a partial solution.

Everything from the decoration to the atmosphere, cozy homy feeling , good breakfast, attentive staff and specially Corinne, smiling and communicative ( not everyone speaks English)…owner / manager also always on the premises saluting guests. Excellent location to park the car ( with blue disk) right in front of the hotel. Rooms in the attic/third floor are charming and spacious, grand bathroom with ( oh! What a luxury!) walk-in shower. Ammenities ( liquid soap and body lotion ) amazingly good.

Nothing to do with the property - the eternal tolling of the church’s bell !!! Every 15 mns during the whole night… and special “symphony “ at 6 a.m You better get used to it in Switzerland ‘s small towns! Or don’t forget your earplugs if you wish to sleep the night thru without interruption…

The room decor was Swiss|German and matched the area we were visiting..Very lovely with new modern bathroom. Breakfast was your typical fare…but still plenty to eat. All the staff were welcoming and helpful when spoken to. Restaurant meal was tasty enough with a few drinks.

step in bathroom between shower and bath, is a bit dangerous for someone a bit handicapped like myself. maybe a yellow line on the floor and a vertical handrail on the wall next to shower. I did actually fall tere but fortunately to the weight on my hands so no damage done.

The room was spacious and lovely decorated. Breakfast was great and the food for lunch and dinner as well. Service was outstanding.

The girls at the reception could be friendlier. This was actually the only thing to complain about.

Breakfast was beautifully presented and served The staff were always willing to help; formal in the Swiss way , efficient and helpful

We were there during a heat wave No AC (as with most hotels in Europe) but they provided a fan which helped a lot And it cooled down at night so we kept the windows wide open

The hotel is located in the center of the small town on the main square. We really liked the folklore festival and the spontaneous performances of the artists. We admired the local costumes that the ladies and gentlemen were wearing.

The location of the hotel was great. Close proximity to the all hiking trails. The food at the restaurant was excellent and staffs were friendly and attentive. We loved the eggs menu on breakfast but found the sweet options limited. There is a sauna in the hotel too but no parking. You would need to pay for CHF8 per day parking nearby.

There was no free water in the room nor options to make coffee/tea. Pillows were a little too soft too.. had to request extra pillows.

Staff was incredibly nice and so patient with all our requests. Rooms looked better than they did online. Accommodations were calm, quiet, clean and very lovely. And the breakfast was delicious. Would absolutely stay again.

The location was wonderful as well as the property. very clean. The breakfast was really great. lots of choices and good food. The staff was wonderful.

The only complaint was our room was about the outside restaurant so the noise level from the restaurant customers was a bit much.
