Goodwood Park Hotel

Goodwood Park is an institution and is proud of what it is.It is definitely not a chain hotel and it is not run by an accountant.Staying here is a privilege which never disappoints.Our ground floor room opened up to the pool area, was spacious, quiet and unchanged by fashion.It is timeless.

Eating options were limited as there were special New Year functions on.

The staff was perfect, they have been very supportive. We had two requests during our stay : to change the room and to have a late check out, and both have been fulfilled. Room was cleaned on daily basis with attention to the details. The location also happened to be great it is 5min walking from Orchard road, bus station nearby, metro not that far too. SgD 15 to almost every point in Singapore and SgD30 to the airport.

I booked  Parklane Split Level Studio , which happened to be not part of the hotel , it is a separate building the access to which was dirty. The studio itself was great but some years ago, now was smelly due to mold. But once again the staff reacted very fast and move as in the hotel area in a smaller but way better room.

Perfect for our vacation: 4 adult family members shared 2 Parklane split suites. The suites were spacious, each with balcony, kitchen, and living room with a pull-out couch. Breakfast offered a huge selection. Staff was very nice and helpful. The two beautiful pools were never crowded. Location is central but still secluded enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Can get a bit noisy at night, depending on the other guests. To reach the main building and pools, you have to cross a parking lot (but didn't bother us much).

this is my second stay at The Goodwood. I love it’s a historical building, although it has a modern extension. it’s situation makes you feel you are in a peaceful oasis far away from the noise of Orchard Road. the pool is just a heavenly place to relax in. the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and willing to help . I came to Singapore after a 13 hour flight with a terrible migraine, unfortunately. The counter staff were extremely helpful and ensured I didn’t need to wait too long for my room so I could sleep. can’t thank them enough. I love the personal touch that you cannot find in large high rise hotels.

This hotel has an excellent location: on the one side, the main shopping street (Orchard road); about 10 min in the opposite direction is one of the biggest hawker markets (Newton center), and the underground stations are in the walking distance. Very helpful staff, excellent condition of the rooms and facilities, high level of hygiene and well-maintained grounds. Our stay was a very pleasant, relaxing experience.

Nothing, the experience was impeccable

The hotel is a heritage building and has its own special atmosphere which is important to know since it is different from modern style business hotels which sometimes come very formal and cool. So in many small details the building may seem old but these are the things that I like and which make it special. We had a Deluxe Mayfair room. The room is spacious with a relatively big bathroom. The glass front opens to a big balcony. There is a 65' TV screen where we did view the pictures taken during our holidays. The two pools are very nice and are suited to playing or swimming depending on your needs. The location of the hotel is superb next to the shopping malls in Orchard Road and for those who love local food for those Newton Circus hawker centre. If there is no heavy traffic it is a 30 min ride to the airport. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety of Western and Asian choices. The main breakfast room is a bit dark. Do not miss the high tea in the lobby in the afternoon! The staff is friendly and very helpful. All issues that came up during our stay could be resolved easily.

The bathroom has no separate shower. The door to the balcony didn't close properly because the locking mechanism had been damaged.

This is an excellent hotel with history and heritage located in the heart of the Orchard Road shopping area in Singapore. There is a good selection of restaurants, from Thai to Western to Japanese to Chinese Sichuan. I enjoyed my breakfast, served in the coffee lounge that offered a good selection of Western and local Singaporean dishes. Although the hotel is centrally located, there were no issues with noise during my stay.

The air conditioning in my room broke down during my stay. Even though I alerted reception at 11 pm, the engineer came promptly and assessed the situation. He insisted me with moving to another room.

The staff are 10/10. They are all excellent, very helpful and welcoming. The room was also clean and spacious with a view of the pool.

I thought the facilities in the room was limiting. I would have expected a coffee machine and some items in the fridge, but it was empty except for some milk. But I think only Heritage rooms have those. I also prefer showers/shower rooms to baths. I do think the Heritage Rooms are beautiful. They are modern but with a hint of Singapore culture in their furniture and overall look.

Goodwood Park is a (externally) colonial style hotel with spacious rooms and great food. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and clean. The WiFi worked well, too. Location is excellent only a 5 minute walk from the main Orchard road and near to bus stops and MRT. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by as well.

If only the bath had a bathtub ! Also found the room rate a bit expensive for 2N 2 rooms we paid around USD 1400 without breakfast which is a bit much. But OTOH all the other hotels were similarly priced :(

We were staying for two nights on our way from Australia to the UK and arrived in the early hours of the morning, the team were quick to check us in and get us to our room which was just what we needed. Such a friendly welcome and so understanding of the traveller needs. Great service and a wonderful hotel.

A bar service in the lobby would be a great addition to the hotel. We wanted to have a drink with a friend who visited us while we were in the hotel and there was no way to get a drink in the main guest areas around reception.
