Taal Vista Hotel

room was obviously not the newest but everything looked spotless and smelled clean, from sheets to surfaces. I like how visibly serious they were with sanitation. Was offered a room with a view for a small upgrade fee. Worth it. Waking up to a view of a foggy Taal crater + lake was something else. Bed was not excellent but can stay in for a while, no problem. I just missed the usual "oomph" of nice hotel beds.. The bathroom showed signs of age here and there but always looked and felt clean. The tub was small-ish but still nice. Breakfast was OK, a bit lacking but can get you started with a good day. Staff, especially front desk people, are courteous and responsive to our requests like early check-in and late checkout. The pool was awesome we went back twice -- water was fresh (not heated though so expect a jolt!) and you have to call to reserve a slot. This is to make sure pool is never crowded. In our experience, max of four people in the sizeable pool at any given time. I asked to buy more nights on-site because it was an overall experience. Well worth what I paid for and will come back.

The parking ticketing system, even when you're checked in, just added a lot more opportunities for unnecessary contact (switching hands a physical paper ticket to guard plus front desk every time you go out!). Doesn't feel optimized for safety.

From the moment we enter the hotel, the Guard , Lobby Staffs and Waitress already greet us with a smiley face. I celebrated my birthday here, once we got to our UPGRADED ROOM, there is a birthday cake and a letter from the staffs. So cute 😍 the reservation staff who gave us a great view in our Room!! Thank you so much! I love how they treat us in the hotel esp we have an infant and kid with us. On our 2nd day, There was an earthquake but the hotel don’t have any control with that. They still assist us until we got checked out. I love the breakfast menu while a 3 men serenading the other table. Will definitely stay and come back again! Kudos to the Manager on the Lobby and to the lady staff outside, since there was an earthquake they ask us “Kamusta po ma’am” “Do you need a medical assistance?” you will feel that they really care to their guests. Love the Hospitality 🥰

the room is a bit old, but still very comfortable to sleep.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Some went above beyond to help out. Wife had a medical emergency late at night and hotel staff were quick to help organise transportation to the local hospital and made sure everything was ok. Rooms were clean but dated. The buffet breakfast was very good. Good selection of food and spacious eating areas. Their was also a trio of muscians who went table by table and taking song requests which made breakfast more enjoyable. Location of the hotel is quite good. Right next to sky ranch and can be acessed directly from the hotel property. The views of the hotel are very nice as well. And plenty of spots to take nice photos.

Rooms look like they haven't been renovated in a while. Showing quite a bit of wear and tear. Looks like the pictures but just older. Found it a bit weird that you had to book a time to use the pool and gym.

we had the suite overlooking the lake and volcano , the staff made the place enjoyable especially Cristalle at reception who kept in contact with us the entire stay, she is a gem and a credit to the hotel.

staffing outside for drinks could've been open or available more, it was a bit cold some of the late afternoons/ early evenings however we would've loved to sit by and gaze at the view instead of being inside the lovely lobby bar. The restaurant near the small golf green was a bit expensive for what it offered and they need to know what a real carbonara consists of :) Loved breakfast but would've liked more fruit options

Stunning view of Taal Lake and Volcano. Overall very clean and nice facilities. The staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating - Fahad looked after us at concierge. We really enjoyed the weekend BBQ on the terrace and dinner at Taza.

The pool was not temperature controlled, and slightly chilly (might have been due to the rainy season, and they weren’t expecting many guests to use it). Would also suggest adding some additional safety rails on the terrace.

The location is the best selling point of this hotel. The staff are also professional and very experienced. The room that we booked has partial view of the lake but it was enough to really enjoy the Taal volcano

The buffet breakfast spread was limited - not sure if it was due to covid but i wish there are more options. the coffee was good though :) This is an old hotel and the age is already starting to show especially in the rooms so maybe some updating would help. I think there are other hotels in the area that you can get for half the price and still enjoy the view of the lake and within short distance from the cafes and hangout places

Wow! Taal Vista is so amazing! The view really took my breath away. I loved my quaint room on the mountain side with a patio - the price is incredible for what you get. The food in the restaurant is wonderful, great breakfast buffet and a really great location for Tagaytay - right next to Sky Ranch too! The grounds are so beautiful, the pool is so relaxing - I would highly recommend staying here!

Nothing - it was perfect. Loved this hotel, the stay is so nice and the food is great. It was nice and relaxing.

It was overlooking the Taal Volcano/lake. The staff were courteous and strict in promoting the Covid precautions. The breakfast was good and you could go back as much as you want to. The staff were prompt in sending Maintenance staff to check the leaking ceiling. They also changed our room Asap when the leaking ceiling couldn’t be fixed. The front desk staff John was commendable.

The hotel was not near to restaurants, and there were no public transportation in the evening. The only available food chain nearby is McDo. There were no enough streetlights going to the hotel hence walking to the hotel is not a good option.

As mentioned earlier, they sent us a surprise cake for our wedding though we did not mention anything to the staff. Our room view was great! The buffet staff at breakfast were helpful.

The waitress at the entrance of breakfast area was dull. She seemed unhappy of what she is doing. Guests expect energetic staff specially during breakfast. Another minor thing was, they sent a surprise cake to our room on our 2nd night, and we were very happy, but it was weird because they only sent us one fork when there were the two of us. 😅. And oh, we called the operator, dialed 0 after several unanswered calls to room service, to ask if we can borrow a corkscrew. The staff responded that corkscrew is not available, but then during the next day bfast, we asked a waiter who instructed us to just dial 7 and they will open the bottle for us, which they did! It would have been nice if the operator offered the same in the first place.

spacious and clean. connecting rooms water temp and pressure was amazing. breakfast selection was better than some higher end hotels i have stayed in

our tv was purplish in tone. the lcd will go off on that one soon and was hard to watch anything. we didn’t bother bc we’re just there ON. Long walk from ourroom to the lobby or way to the exit. you can park on the mountain wing entrance however there was a filming going on and was foggy so we didn’t see any views of the volcano.
