Thon Hotel Gyldenløve

Very nice hotel, very good breakfast, the best thing about breakfast, is that they are up to half 12, you can relax and sleep, if you want a bit more, and still get the breakfast, which is very tasty. The room is not big, but still more then enough, very comfortable bed. We chose a room overlooking the street where the trams run, good insulation, we were almost not disturbed by noise. Good location, a lot of shops and cafes around. I highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be back.

Nothing special, the only what i did not like, that cleaning lady opened the room, while we were sleeping, without knocking, it was unpleasant.

A good place to stay for a solo traveler. My room was a bit small but since I traveled alone I had plenty of space. If you have big suitcases and more than one suitcase perhaps it might feel a bit more cramped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good as well. The location is quite nice as well, about a 30min walk to the central station which allows you to walk past the royal palace and the big park along with the main shopping street.

Was it entierly worth the price I paid? Probably not. Was this partly my own fault for booking the hotel quite late when most other places were fully booked? Most likely. Other than that I don't have any complaints.

The staff and the breakfast were excellent. Everything was spotlessly clean, and it was easy enough to get around although this is not the most central hotel by any means.

I felt that the rooms are super small. Also there is no place to put your suitcase if it is not extremely small. I wish they had more hangers in the bathroom. Also my room was facing the street and was sometimes noisy.

Friendly hotel staff, ellegant and quiet quarter easily accessible both by public transport and walk. Close to Vigeland Park. Fantastic breakfest. Very comfortable bed, warm but light and pleasing blankets and pilows. Coffee and tea in the room. Enough storage space, sitting oportunity.

To my needs all perfect. Some might consider a smaller space in the shower.

The breakfast had many options, good food quality, and fresh meals. The room was nice, cozy, and clean. The location was very convenient, and it was easy to take public transportation. Plus: they have baggage storage service (after checkout) which is super helpful if your flight is late and you still want to explore the city.

The use of keycards in the elevator (just annoying)

I love everything! I had such an amazing time in only 4 days in Oslo and all the staff is so helpful and always smiling. The receptionist that checked me in is so sweet and gave me an early check in for no extra cost. There was a super pleasant balcony!

There's nothing I dislike.

Abundant and varied breakfast. Very handy to where we needed to be in Oslo. Helpful staff. We enjoyed the lounge and offerings with tea and coffee- fresh fruit too!

It was a challenge not to wet the bathroom with shower water seeping under the door. Separate sink outside the shower/toilet area was useful.

Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff who really went the extra mile. Very well maintained. Wonderful breakfast.

Rooms are pretty small with the sink outside the bathroom in the room.

Great location, the rooms were the right size, clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was kind and professional.

Though the breakfast spread was excellent, I would have loved to see some more Norwegian specialties on the breakfast buffet, but that's just a cherry on a really good cake.

Fantastic suff always nice and helpful, super excellent breakfast, good location not far from metro station.

Well.. price obviously, but this is Norway so it wasn't that bad at the end of the day I guess, at least breakfast was included.
