Good location and facilities

The cleanliness was appalling when we arrived toilet was disgusting had to clean ourselves as well as the basin. Dust everywhere. Looked like they used a broom to sweep the floor instead of vacuuming it. After day 2 only towels were changed no replacement of sugar, tea bags . No clean dish cloths or tea towels . And again nothing cleaned. Why do you have a sign on the window service required?????? When nothing has been done to a suitable standard. We pay good money to stay and got nothing. We have been staying at Cleveland motel for over 20 years with our sports teams as well as family vacations and have never come across this.

Comfortable rooms, warm and cozy with lovely beds. Great trampoline and play area for the kids, and amazing huge heated pool for everyone to use. Nice hot mineral pools for the grownups. Good location, walking distance from city centre, restaurants and park walks with geothermal activity and Saturday market.

They had missed a few things on the room clean before we arrived. As with many motels they want to help with the environment by not washing towels every day unless you leave them on the bathroom floor. It would be great to see these places demonstrating this in other ways too, by introducing composting and finding alternatives to the single use individual plastic coffee/tea/soap packaging.

Great place for a family to stay - Outdoor warm pool and covered hotter mineral pools were a real bonus. Although it's on a busy road the family units are well set back from the road and we were not bothered by any traffic noise. Plenty of parking right outside the unit. Units although older in style were warm and fresh and clean and comfortable. (We came in winter). Staff were helpful and friendly.

The TV was overly complicated to get to work. Every time I tried to change the channel it would revert to wi-fi home screen and I had to turn the TV off and back on to be able to see the channel I wanted. The beds had these very soft mattresses - memory foam I think. I'm used to a firm bed, so wasn't comfortable, but for some people I guess the memory foam mattresses would be a real bonus.

Great place with really friendly staff. We got confused about our door and how to lock it, walked right over to the reception with help straight away. Beds were really comfy, bathroom was newly done with a lovely shower. You got a massive room with an aircon which was excellent, TV (not smart so bring HDMI cable if needed), great amount of space and nice and quiet.

There were a few stains to pillows/bedsheets but it was on beds that we weren't using as there was only two of us. There was also no oven in the kitchen which was disappointing as the reason for booking this motel was for the private kitchen. Unfortunately, we did our food shop prior to entering the accommodation so we didn't see we would be without an oven so keep that noted. Other kitchen facilities were great.

The location and the pools were the best part of our stay. The rooms were okay, bathroom up to date and modern. The beds were comfortable and the perfect height. The lady at front desk was lovely and friendly, as well as the handyman. We loved the stay and being able to use the pool, which was clean and well kept.

On our first night we were sitting outside and had laughed loudly- it was not intentional and we just did not realise how the sound could carry, the owner? (male) came over and in a very disrespectful manner told us off, we apologised straight away although he did not listen and repeatedly named how old we were being when we kept on saying sorry and we’re moving inside now. this was our first friends trip away. We would not have minded being told to keep the noise down in a conversational manner, maybe for the future if people are going as a group be mindful that there is to be no noise after 10am.

Unit was clean and spacious with beds that you could sink into and sleep like a snug bug. Shower was hot and refreshing with brilliant pressure.. Loved the mineral pools and the mural wall art especially of the pink terraces the fairy lights make it magical at night. Availability of a bbq, laundry facilities and communal kitchen was a welcome addition. Close proximity to the town centre and thermal park. Motel photos don't do the place justice or reflect it's true brilliance. Motel is a clear example of "not judging a book by its cover"

Laundry facilities. If you you are willing to pay for a service you should be allowed to do so without feeling bad about it. We wanted to wash and dry our mamas clothes before heading back home when I asked for coins for the dryer because the first round didn't quite dry them I was advised to hang them out. Rather than use the dryer again. I had to get my partner to ask them for more coins so we could finish off drying her clothes.

Loved the outdoor pool, nice and warm for an evening swim during Easter weekend. Our kitchen and bathroom was pretty new, and the beds were comfy so it worked out well for our little family. And our youngest loved the trampoline and swings that were available. Location is good, pretty centred to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Probably staff should do an inventory check of the room before next guests arrive (unless they just missed ours), as there was half a toilet roll on the holder and no spares and there was no iron, though it didn't bother us. As they serviced it the next day and we didn't realise there was no iron until the last day anyway, which isn't a biggie.

The Manager, staff, thermal pool, swimming pool, bed and room were excellent. We had extra towels for the pools and we had the added option to clean the room or not. We gave the staff a day off.

My family was there for a National Basketball Tournament. But due to covid-19 going into Red, the tournament was cancelled, hence we did not want to stay in Rotorua for the five days. I asked the manager if we could have a refund for four days. He said he could not refund four days but will refund two days. My husband were happy with this and stayed for the three days. When I asked for the refund for the two days on our last day. He said the procedure was that we needed to explain to booking.com, which we have but as yet there has been no communication regarding our refund.

This motel was clean and comfortable, but could use a bit updating. For the price, however, it was an excellent choice. The center city was a 30 min walk which generally did. taking one’s vehicle into the town for shopping/lunch/dinner is very easy as there is lots of parking available. The on-site hot spring spa was a bonus and very enjoyable.
