Rotorua Motel

The room was lovely and clean. Beds nicely made and there was a hairdryer available in the closet. Parking was provided around the back of the motel for customers, this was park where there was a space. The Small kitchen in the room was nice and clean and tidy. The location was very handy to the mall (we actually didn't realise we were close enough to the mall to walk until we got back from going to get dinner)

The nozzel for the tap over the sink in the bathroom was a little too long which meant when you washed your hands often the water ended up splashing up over the person using it and onto the floor instead of into the sink. - would suggest maybe looking at replacing that with something a bit shorter. Would have been nice as well to be able to adjust the thermostat on the heater in the room.

Friendly and considerate hosts. Spacious room and enough parking. Convenient to supermarkets, eateries and tourist attractions, not in the centre of the bustling city centre so reasonably quiet at night. Good for travellers exploring Rotorua.

Very weak Wi-Fi signals in the room, need to walk outside the room for internet. No breakfast, in the property highlights - "continental" is misleading ... it means coffee and tea bags. Need to consider buying stuff from nearby supermarkets and make your own breakfast in the morning to save a bit of time for sightseeing.

friendly staff, heated room, very nice and clean bathroom and high pressure shower, cooking facility and clean fridge, room maintenance cleaned out the dirty towel everyday; got hot pool option we can book and use for free.

no fan in bathroom, feels really wet after shower; shower curtain was a bit moldy; can hear other tenants talking early morning and late at night; toilet paper is too thin; room heating can't be adjusted, room gets a bit over heated at night and everyone was sweaty but can't do anything about it because it was middle of the night...

This place is a great place to stay with family. We stayed in the family room that sleeps 4 people with a separate bedroom. Loved the location & its close proximity to everything being only 2 - 5 mins away from you. The room & bathroom was clean with great shower pressure!

The wifi wasn’t that great & took awhile to load each page but I wasn’t there to spend time on scrolling on my phone.

The motel is an easy walk into town, and situated on a mainly quiet road. My room was bigger than expected and had a full kitchen to cook in, and was very well presented and clean. All the staff I met were friendly and more than happy to assist. The pool is a bit on the mall size, but is was warm and very enjoyable. Over all the Rotorua Motel, far exceeded my expectorations.

The owner/manager, Bruce, was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming - it's very important to feel that you're welcome to stay at a place, not just another "number" or just a "tourist". Also, our TV broke down, so Bruce replaced it immediately (no mucking around and he did it in a friendly manner). Our room had a huge bathtub (also called a private spa pool). I would not normally worry/think about such things, but the bathtub is huge and there is heaps of hot water at this place - I definitely recommend having a bath(s) there. Maybe you don't even need to go to the hot pools (e.g. Polynesian Spa) when you have a big bath (spa pool) in your own motel room. The shower had good pressure and lots of hot water too. This motel is in walking distance from most places in Rotorua City, but we mostly used our car anyway.

There was nothing wrong with the Rotorua Motel, but Booking.com is asking me to write something in this box, so I will. Generally speaking, if you are staying anywhere in downtown Rotorua, you will come across the smell of hydrogen sulphide gas which can be very strong at times. If you are a visitor to Rotorua it can be a bit of a novelty at first, but after a few nights of it, you'll be looking forward to getting away from the place all together and never coming back (just my opinion). However, in spite of that, I would probably go to Rotorua for a holiday again, just because this motel is so good.

Location was excellent being close to the central city, in walking distance to city central. Room was warm, big kitchen with everything we needed. Beautiful spa, Excellent shower. Excellent service from staff, friendly and very accommodating and they catered to our needs fully.

Malfroy road, where the motel is situated is a very busy road and can be quite noisy, however just closing the window and curtains helps to block out part of the noise. The elements on the stove only worked on high and you couldn't turn it down, so had to keep an eye on your cooking.

Indoor spa, location, family friendly, nice room, responsive staff

No rubbish collection for our 5 day stay. Would've been nice.

The guy running the place was a great guy, very friendly and approachable. Room was good, pool was great. Location was great. I've stayed here before and would definitely stay again. Rooms felt safe and a nice quiet area.

The spa pool needed replacing. The front two elements on our stove only ran on high and the shower faucet needs replacing. The pool was lovely but it did need a clean on the edges inside of the pool. I think the pool should open earlier and close later as for some people the pool at a holiday stay is very important, like it is for me and my family.

The place is very accessible, staff is so nice and it is very well suited for us a family of 3. We booked the family room with kitchen and it was all worth it. Our stay was superb plus we get to enjoy their indoor and outdoor spa! REALLY LOVE IT!!! The staff was also very nice and helpful. will recommend this place and might come back soon. Sorry I dont have photos but I have some video.
