Deans Bush Motel

The overall room was clean and tidy. The location is very accessible To the city centre and super close to PaknSave. What impressed us the most was the helpfulness and generosity of the manager. As we had to arrive the airport late on the day we check out, the manager kindly offered us to leave our luggages at his garage until we pick it up near the end of their office hours. Thanks a lot for making our travels smoother.

The temperature of the shower was tricky to control. Also, it is recommended to have a more powerful water pressure.

I had one of the rooms upstairs. It was clean, very comfortable, perfect wifi, super hot shower. I was there mid-September, with some cold and rainy days, but the room was warm. There was an electric blanket that I didn’t need to use. The motel is just right across Westfield mall, close to restaurants and the bus stop (n.3 takes you directly to the airport). The owner is very friendly and helpful.

If I have to pick something I didn’t like, it would be the bathroom cabinet a bit chipped and the shower a bit difficult to close. But they are minor things that didn’t influence my staying at all.

The host at Deans Bush was excellent! He was so friendly and considerate. We checked in really late and it was no trouble. He gave us a ground floor room because I told him I was travelling with my mum, he gave us milk for our morning coffees and when we checked out the next morning he recommended we went to the market just around the road which was excellent! So much fantastic service in such a small amount of time.

There are fans in the room rather than A/C, which would normally be completely fine but it was really hot when we were there. Definitely better than nothing though!

Great sized room, which was very clean, with a comfortable bed and everything needed for a short stay in Riccarton. The owner and staff were very kind, friendly and accommodating. Ideal location if you need somewhere between the airport and Christchurch Central, with an added bonus of being immediately opposite Westfield Riccarton Mall for shopping and within easy walking distance of a considerable choice of restaurants and takeaways as well.

We were so impressed by the host at check-in! Upgraded us to a bigger, better room, offered to help with our bags and was super friendly! I don't think we've had a better welcome and we stay in a lot of hotels. We will definitely be coming back. And so convenient right across the road from the mall!

Everything was perfect. I can't even think of anything to fault this place. It had a kitchen (which we weren't expecting as we got upgraded to an apartment) and the beds were super comfy.

We were upgraded into a one bedroom! Clean, comfortable, and affordable motel just right across Westfield mall. Has sky channels, kitchen with basic facilities, bathroom has a heater (only the pull string does not work and the switch is in the ceiling), has a spa tub so taking a shower is longer than it should. Internet connection is superb and good service!

The water pressure is weak so taking a shower is longer than it should. No decent cutting knife.

The guy who checked in for us is friendly. The motel is located just right opposite from Westfield Riccarton Shopping Centre. A very convenient location for some shopping. It is also located just 20minutes away drive from the airport.

The kitchenette can be cleaner. There were some small scraps of food leftover on the floor when we went in. But, still manageable for us as we are able to just pick them up and throw them away.

Very friendly and welcoming. This motel is in a great location right across the road from Riccaton Mall, and close to buses including those to/from the airport. Very clean and comfortable. I had a small room with basic facilities but it was all I needed. Excellent heating.

No negatives from me.

The staff member who greeted me upon check in was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend to others and would love to come back here again....was sorry to only spend 2 nights here. So clean, and nicely decorated and very comfortable beds. The floral decorations were also a nice homely touch. Thank you so much for having us.

Everything was amazing, the location, lovely staff, the bed and pillows were the best we have ever slept on and rooms have been recently decorated, you honestly won’t regret staying there, it’s our go to motel every time we visit Christchurch, wouldn’t stay anywhere else 😊
