Mercure Hotel Zwolle

Staff was very friendly and helpful. As requested I got a quiet room which was very bright with two Velux windows which you could open to let air in. (There was also air conditioning) Spacious room with a nice feel to it. The bathroom was very good, too. Breakfast had lots of choices. Location is good for travelling through as it is near the highway but in a quiet area. It is just minutes away from Zwolle centre and other areas to explore. Staff are very good with children as seen on various occasions.

Parking is enclosed but costs Euro 7. Overall the price for a single room is a bit high. (Euro 139,-)

The hotel was outside of Zwolle in the middle of the fields - lovely view in the morning onto meadows and cows, an apple tree in front of my window. I could rent a bike (from the hotel) at a good price (12.50 a day) and cycled to my meeting and to and from Zwolle. What a Dutch way to start (and end) your day! The room was regular in size, with a desk (I did use), good enough desk lamps, a small fridge, and a tea kettle with packages for making tea and coffee. The staff generally was very friendly and supportive. The bed was okay.

The room/bathroom had a strange smell, (moldy?); since it was warm, I left the window open almost all the time. The night staff was friendly but did not seem super-competent (or communicative). I ended up sorting things up with the regular day staff (which was terrific) The location - it depends on what you want, but after having been in Zwolle, I am not sure whether I would not have rather taken a hotel more in the center. (But everything is very close together, and I felt safe cycling at night.)

Loved this hotel! It's located in such a peaceful area. The staff went the extra mile and made sure there's a baby cot in our room. The hotel was exceptionally clean and so tidy. Everything is in its place. There was also hot water (which I don't always find in hotels) and we just had such a splendid time. The food at the restaurant are delicious and very well priced! Will definitely visit again and recommend it to my friends.

Nice and calm hotel. Nice staff.

The location is only meant to be reached by car or taxi. Now the taxiservice in the city of Zwolle is not very good. We wanted to go to the city. Which is a 45 minute walk or we could wait for an hour. The nice staff contacted 3 companies. This was the case the entire stay. So we had to walk 45 minutes 3x in one day.

The hotel was clean and had good value for money! It was a short ten minute cycle into town. There was a great breakfast buffet with a lovely view to the fields.Thank you for a lovely stay!

We booked the privelege room, there were free minibar items and also a Nespresso coffee machine with cups. We arrived late in the evening and checked-out early next morning so haven't seen much of the hotel except the room :)

Downside is that you need to pay (extra) for car parking on top of your room price.

The location as didn't want to be in the city and was happy to walk/cycle around city and to and from hotel

The pillows on the bed were awful gave me a headache every morning.. I believe if you could upgrade pillows then this would be a perfect place to stay

I visited with my finance and I booked for single bed… it wasn’t a single bed but single beds put together and it kept separating each time we cuddled, the experience with the bed was a complete awful one…

Location was a bit far from center of Zwolle. However, got coupon for 20 o/o off taxi.

Bike rental on site. It's wonderful to bike along the IJssel. You get a $5 coupon for putting a sign each day on your door, not to clean room. You can use this in the restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern decorations. Nice restaurant for all three meals.

Nice cozy room, good bathroom with pleasant lighting, friendly staff and tasty breakfast.

It's a bit distant from everything. It could take quite a while if you decide to walk to the city center. But I don't mind long walks and this way I learned that there is a Scania factory in the city :)
