Hotel Dux

Staying at Hotel Dux is always something we look forward to! Once again it remains our favorite stay during our road trips thru Germany/Netherlands and Belgium:) From the minute I book accommodation at Hotel Dux, the interaction with this hotel meets all high standards that I expect! On arrival this experience of 'superb customer service' continues at the Reception Desk, Dining Room, Breakfast Table and Bar services! The rooms have all the amenities that a seasoned/demanding traveler could possibly require. The location is perfect in every way, and the private parking that is available is below the hotel!! The vibrant Town Square, located just behind Hotel Dux, with many different restaurants to choose from, bars, shops and of course the famous Gelato shop on the square is a 'must' for all ice cream lovers, adds to the pleasure of experiencing the warmth of the locals and their 'street culture.'

I don't like the fact that I can't return here more often!!

This hotel was amazing. The room was large and well designed, Bed was super comfy and huge. Linens were of a superior quality. Free mini bar. We had a room overlooking the river on the top floor and it was a beautiful view. Free mini bar. Location is excellent. Within 5 minutes walk there are numerous cafes shops and restaurants to choose from. A walk over the river takes you to the yacht harbour. This hotel is a must if you are staying in this area of the Netherlands. The breakfast was extensive and catered for everyone's taste. The underground car park is a must try!

Location was excellent & nicely located on the water & few steps away from the center. The breakfast was nicely organized & several delicious & healthy alternatives were found. The hotels staff gets 11 from 10 points, everybody was interestedin the best possible service. In average rooms these details would be neglectable but not in a deluxe suite.

To be honest, for the best room in the hotel ( junior deluxe suite ) the cleanliness was not at it's best. The surfaces were partly dusty, the bath room not properly wiped after cleaning & the minibar was not a junior deluxe standard keeping the price in mind.

Fantastic location stayed many times before. Room overlooking the river great terrace to have a morning coffee and watch the world go by. Well laid out building with underground car parking. Excellent breakfast and restaurant. Staff are courteous and go their extra mile. Devour throughout is good and interesting.

On check in I had to wait a short while as reception support was at its sister hotel and after 8 hours of driving a little inconvenience.

The location is super! Right on the river and in town to enjoy the restaurants and shops in the cute laneways. Our room was fabulous - spacious with a huge bed, wonderful double basin bathroom with a bath and with chic decor. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was also really good.

There’s a rooftop bar that unfortunately is not open. It is owned by the restaurant who don’t have enough staff to open it. Would have fantastic views along the river.

Fantastic location with great service by the front desk staff. We had a spacious room with a massive bathroom which included two sinks, a bathtub, a shower, and a toilet. Minibar is included in the price which means free access to a Nespresso machine and the drinks in the fridge. The famous canal and bridge is by the same street, so great for a morning walk and relaxing sightseeing. Breakfast was included in the price, with a relatively large selection of foods and drink in a spacious dining area.

There was no view at all in the room albeit there was a window. We had expected a view to the canal/main street but i guess you have to get lucky with the room allocation.

This one is a must stay in you have to be in this area. Hotel is well maintained. Rooms are big and look really nice. Breakfast has a good spread. The in-house Bistro two has some of the best food we have ever had. Apparently it is run by chefs who also work in a nearby Michelin Star restaurant. There is underground parking at an extra cost but two EV charging spots where you can refill your vehicle for free. However the best part, which made it a 5 star for us, was the extremely polite, personable and helpful staff. They were at the center of our wonderful experience. Special shout out to Lars (front desk) for the tips and recommendations. PS: Coke, Beer, Water, Juice and Coffee in your room are included in your room price which is definitely a nice touch :)

An indoor pool and gym would have been just perfect but that's nitpicking.

The breakfast was exceptional. It exceeded our expectations. The variety of food and the level of attention to the small details by the staff were impressive. Thank you for a great breakfast to start off our day! The room was comfortable and the washrooms were big. A big plus was the presence of an EV charger at their basement carpark. Thank you for the great stay!

I liked absolutely everything about this hotel! Amazing hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. Location is excellent for the old town and the Roermond Outlet shopping centre. I booked the Exec room which was a great size with top quality furniture, a good size bath as well as a separate rain shower. The bed was huge and really comfortable and included in the price was a free mini bar. Great selection for breakfast with good quality coffee. I could not recommend this hotel more, i will definitely be returning for another visit.

A bit of a walk with baggage from Roermond train station but beautiful location near the canal. Breakfast was amazing. Bed super comfortable.

There was an odd smell in the bathroom that hit you when waking into the room. I think it was from the drains as I have had it happen at home when I have had stagnant water in the grey water pipes.
