Grand Hotel Valies

Check-in was done quickly. We were able to leave our bags before the check-in time and they were brought up to the room by the staff. Breakfast had ample options and even provided champagne. Room was spacious enough and bathroom was quite big for a hotel room.

The water pressure of the shower was weak in one of the rooms booked. During check-in we were asked at what time we would be having breakfast but nothing is done with the information. As there were no seats available in the regular dining area. In this case reception should have informed to be 30 min later/earlier so that the staff providing breakfast would have time/space for all guests.

It is not the concern of guests as to what sub-letting arrangements are in place to run tbe bar/ or sell drinks. If a guest is on the hotel premises, the pricing should be uniform/consistent. BUT, reception says Aperol Spritz did cost $8.50, then the sub- let bar charges $10.50, then the hotel bar charges $12.50!! Sub-letting arrangements should be 'invisiblle'/ descreet arrangments, not openly discussed and used Bb as an excuse to customers. Basically, I think the hotel is great, but we do object to rude and predatory pricing that is variable and excessive.....it leaves an unpleasant feeling that undermines the other hotel positives.

Great hotel, very clean, staff were great and location to the centre of Roermond is very good. There are several restaurants and Bars nearby and access to the main squares is only a few mins walk away. Breakfast is good and plentiful, cooked, continental, cereal and fruit options all available including Champagne if you wanted. Secure parking too on site in the underground carpark. Room was very clean as it has been the last couple of times myself and my wife have stayed, nice large tv and heating and aircon all in the room so you can tailor the temp to what you want. Bar and restaurant on site too, the dinner was superb! one of the best steaks i have had in a long time and the spinach was out of this world!

Im only leaving this as a note, not a criticism, the towels could do with looking at as some are lets just say thin in places.

Great location in the middle of the center of Roermond. It’s close to the outlet as well. Save yourself money on parking at the outlet if you are planning to park at the hotel anyway, cause it’s very close from the outlet. So we parked our car there and went shopping afterwards (just a tip 🙃). They have plenty of options in their breakfast buffet. They serve fresh fruit!

The sinks were not working well. The water didn’t go through like it usually has to. It took forever so looked kinda gross, but this is really the only con I could think of. Maybe a tip for breakfast: please use real eggs instead of powdered, that would make a huge difference in your breakfast buffet (but this is just a thing for me, cause I worked in many hotels before)

This hotel is just what you need. May it be for work or just a great holiday stay! It has alle the accomodations you need. The staff are amazing, parking facilities are tremendous, Room is immaculate and the restaurant Nodi is just divine to dine at! The atmosphere in the hotel is great and everything is there if you need anything. If you want to shop Roermond Design Outlet is just a 7 min walk away! The scenery while walking is also great! I have slept like a baby...

Superb breakfast with lovely details in the dining area. Overlooking the river also with such lovely windows in there made it as if we didn´t want to leave that room. Our kids loved by the way your little miniature muffins! And your play room which you had downstairs! Shame there were no other children there at the time to play with them, but the facilities for them were so extremely clean and safe. Every parent´s dream on that front, because we could just relax and talk without anyone getting hurt. Our hotel rooms we got allocated was also incredibly comfortable. After sitting in a car seat on European motorway for so many hours, it was lovely to have a fab shower, black out the blinds and just slide under the covers. Even our dog was in pure luxury. Nothing to pick on here at all. Your hotel staff were very forthcoming also to recommend your city and telling us the basics, with regards to car park, times of everything which they had to offer - and it seems like teamwork was good in there amongst the staff. We definitely want to come back to Roermond again one day!

The car park exit / entrance was pretty steep to get car out. And hard to find exit back onto motorway. That´s all.

This is an excellent hotel, with a unique and genuine design in American neo-classical style. The hotel is personality, has a great location right on the Ruhr river, and staff is very friendly. Very nice breakfast as well. Very good price-quality balance. Highly recommended if you want to explore the vibrant city of Roermond!

Everything was great. The only little minus is that there was quite a lingering smoking smell in our room.

We liked everything about the hotel. The rooms were big, modern and clean, the bed was super comfortable, staff was really friendly and helped us with questions and our parking situation, breakfast was amazing, and the location is great too with a walking distance to the Roermond Designer Outlet which was the reason for our visit. We have nothing negative to say about this hotel and recommend it to everyone who’s planning to visit Roermond over night!

Centrally located, aircon is a plus for hot summer days, kids corner is a bonus, our children (2 and 9 y.o.) very happy to play there. We have tripple room, which was reasonably big for us. Breakfast is also nice. Overall a nice stay.

The price is on a steep side, parking could be cheaper or free.

We absolutely loved this stylishly decorated high standard venue. In the center of the city, neighboring the river, which can be fully admired during breakfast through the wide windows - offering the outmost peaceful sight from the first hours of the day. At the arrival we have been warmly welcomed at the reception, we parked our car in the underground parking space, and enjoyed the modern, large room, that was our host for the one refreshing night. The level of comfort, hygiene, and visual pleasure given by the modern design of the room - all of these have definitely increased our level of satisfaction. Large room, and bath, clean sheets, extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast is one of the highlights, being served with a lovely view, the smell of fresh dishes pampers your senses and offers you the needed empowering for the day. The culinary palette is extremely large, you can find everything your heart desires. We have visited the so called Kids Corner which turned out to be a wide space divided in 3 different zones - kids cinema, indoor playground, VR space. It's Kids Heaven, I would say, we spent some quality time there, we applaud the idea and the execution of it. Congratulations and thank you for having us. We spent days talking about the high standards we encountered here.
