Campanile Hotel & Restaurant Gouda

Friendly personal, helpful and nice. Good breakfast and excellent lunch!/dinner options. Cleanliness.

Location close to the highway in a while from the city center.

Good location for us, we enjoy walking and Gouda town centre was only a 45 minute walk away. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a tea and coffee tray. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Of you have dietary requirements e.g. vegan etc and you've booked breakfast, just let them know as they cater for this when asked.

The breakfast is expensive and we had prepaid for it during our stay when we booked the room. On one morning the coffee machine was out of order, there was no fresh juice and there was almost no food. Most items were not available! When we asked where everything was, we were told it was the chef's day off and he had not left enough breakfast food. We weren't offered any kind of discount or alternatives which was very disappointing.

The room was good, comfortable and quiet once I had sorted out the noise from the bathroom extractor fan. the staff were great, particularly Roel who was amazingly helpful during my stay. The restaurant had no vegan options and Roel worked very hard to ensure I had something to eat. He also sorted out the very noisy extractor fan in the bathroom by contacting the maintenance person and finding out how to turn the fan off. Roel is a credit to Campanile, fantastic customer service and really showed that he cared. Thank you Roel!

The location was secure at night, and the staff were brilliant. The rooms were immaculate and tidy, with fresh towels every day. Everything was in working order, and nothing was faulty. The showers were spotless!!! The staff were so helpful, especially the two that helped me get to Amsterdam late evening (21st August). They both went out of their way to try and help me, and the company should be proud they got a fantastic team there. What helps them all speak excellent English, which allows someone like me who should be learning to talk Dutch by now!!!!

Dirty glasses wasn't removed from room, daily cleaning not that good, although I didnt ask for cleaning of room second day - it felt a bit meaningless

The room was fine for an overnight stay. Clean and comfortable. The location was in an industrial estate but that was no problem for us as we were travelling onwards to North Holland the next day.

Nothing really. It's a chain hotel and the standards are fine.

Breakfasts are very good. Nice localisation right next to the highway - 30m drive to the Hague, ~1h to the Amsterdam.

Unfortunately there's no AC in the hotel and when it's hot outside the room gets hot quickly as well but there's a fan that helps a bit.

Lack of toiletries, no toothpaste, conditioner etc provided for people travelling from abroad with only handcarry luggage that can’t carry much liquid this is a disadvantage

A bit noisy due to highway being nearby - not excessive at all.

staff is very friendly and helpful. there was an issue about my charninf for phone. i said i need a cable to charge. staff gave me their own one problem solved.

there was no room service. amd no hair dry machine in the room. except these its a good place for just one night guest.
