Kathmandu Boutique Hotel

Nice big and clean rooms. Friendly staff and helpful manager. The hotel is well located and offers a very nice restaurant with tasty food for reasonable prices. We ended up coming back in this place when we came back in Katmandou. Good price for the quality !

We tried 2 rooms and in both of them the bottom part of the rooms menu was cut and it is the part where they indicate the 10% service charge. So they hide this information on rooms menu. The last night the people in the opposite room turned on the music to max volume, and I had to get up and search for the guardian. I did not find anyone and ended up knocking twice to ask them to stop. The second time I had to be agressive to get what I wanted, I would have like the staff to at least apologies for the disturbance. Finaly the first room had a shower located half outside, so it was really cold. At the end it's still a good hotel, I just precise everything.

Rooms varied. no lifts and a 5th floor. Its a very old place so quirky and cute. That means you may hit your head on low doors. I loved it. Stayed twice on the way through and on the way back. My first room was very small but worked and the second was a delight. so its a mix. Staff were exceptional and the breakfast service great. tea just kept coming no extra charge. Location really good. Could get beer and food in the evening.

Hard to find, tucked down a little side street so you need to tow your luggage down or get help. we were fit so no issue. Taxis don't know it so its a search for the sign.

Close to Thamel, but you don’t hear the noise of the street anymore. I got a room in the new building and the room is spacious, there is warm water and even has AC. The restaurant is open until late and they make really good food. Make sure to try the Thali set. Sujal the manager is really helpful and helped me to organise a trekking trip where Khrisna my Tourguide showed me the amazing Annapurna region. I highly recommend taking a trip with Khrisna.

There was a baby in the neighbour building that was sometimes loud and had to close the window next to my bed.

The kindness and hospitality, the location, the planning and arrangements for tourism visits, the twice a day pujas by Mr. Big Security uncle,in the garden shrine, the garden, Mr. Binod, Mr. Sujal and his immediate arrangements for our local tourism visits, Mr. Senbwin and his ever ready efficient catering service, Mr. Big Security uncle and his ready smile with namaste and salute, the Kitchen staff, the cleaning staff, the drivers Mr. Kabi and Mr. Deepak, the staying up till maximum possible time 11pm though kitchen services close by 830-9pm in that freezing cold to ensure we had our dinner, with even Mr. Binod as reception manager pitching in the kitchen to cut the meat for our sizzlers, and promptly back in the morning to start breakfast services by 730am, all with the ever smiling faces of all the staff and a very reasonable budget over 4 nights; if Mahadev, Narayana and Buddha call us again to Them, and for future Pokhra, Chitwan and Mustang visit plannings, Kathmandu Boutique Hotel is where I am going back to stay in Kathmandu. May Lord Pashupatinath bless this wonderful hotel and all its staff.

Food menu was limited, but understandable in the freezing winter, logistics of managing a full fledged menu is really difficult, so I will not really say I didn't like the food. A suggestion here, that some extra items as alternative choices for the inclusion breakfast, like cornflakes, maggi/wai wai, pancakes etc will add more value.

I love that this property has two different types of accommodations. One is the older hotel that is packed solid with character, every room is different. And one is the newer hotel right next-door that is clean and spacious and modern. I stayed in both buildings but actually liked the newer building better. However, I am an older traveler and while I absolutely loved my room in the older building, I found the newer building just more comfortable to my taste. another thing that makes this property a stand out is the staff. I stayed for eight nights and everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. I wanted for nothing. I also liked that it was just outside of Thamel so I wasn’t inundated with touts every time I left my hotel.

The Hotel is nicely tucked away off the main road. Very unique boutique hotel with all the charm. aQuick check in and great welcoming. I stayed in the Terrace Apartment at the top of the old original building. The terrace is a nice space specially morning and evening times. The staff are fantastic and will help you in anyway they can. You can book transport, tours and everything here and l really liked walking into the office/reception as it’s a very low entrance. Fantastic experience and l will be back.

We like the garden of the hotel very much for having meals. The rooms were clean and the behave of the staffs are very friendly and cordial. The manager Mr. Sujal and his team are excellent and so much helpful. The hotel Driver Mr. deepak is also a nice person. I like the dialogue, " Aap khush to hum khush" I AM STRONGLY RECOMMENDING THE HOTEL FOR THE FAMILY AND SOLO TRAVELERS.

We did not find anything that we dislike.

Liked · Breakfast was basic but decent and great location. originally i was in the older colder building but moved to the newer building when requested. Staff are amazing and accomodating and arranged a lot of tours for me which also saved money

Disliked · The shower head was rusty and showeing wasnt the best but for the price cant complain really

The Manager Sujal - Helps me in so many ways, I was traveling with my brother and I really appreciate so much. Prepare well itinerary on my journey and well food for us. We will come back again and again to the same hotel. Everything is perfect. All the staff are very helpful.

Good location, in a side street in Thamel - close to everything. Nicely furnished, cute patio and very good value for money. Amazing staff that helped with everything I needed, and were generous and friendly. It felt very safe and homey. I would definetely come back as well as recommend it.

I stayed here two different times; the first time I got a room in a different building than the main one, and I wxperienced this as a bit more noisy.
