Ahava Hotel

Excellent location near the heart of the city (5th avenue). Very friendly and helpful staff who could answer every question and give recommendations for places to eat, day trips, etc. The bed is really comfy.

The hotel itself is not as deluxe as it may appear on the photos. There was a shortage of hot water at some point - which was resolved after some hours (can happen in Mexico, I suppose). The facilities in the bathroom were not the best (water tap dripping, appearing quite old) The hotel is located near some loud venues, (Coco Bongo), so you might have to deal with noise at night. For me this was ok, and because of the lockdown at 11 PM, there was no loud music when I slept. There was no safe box.

Really nice rooms with particular style. Bed and bathroom in the room were good too. Rooms were clean and spacious. You get a good discount for having breakfast in a really nice place with really tasty food in the Quinta Avenida

Quite close to noise from the Quinta Avenida. Didn't like the open access of the entry (whoever could walk everywhere in the hotel as there are no entry/exit doors. This place has been the only hotel of Playa del Carmen and Cozumel (we have been to 3 other different ones) where you don't get any water for free. In all the other places there was always an area where you could refill your water bottle for free any moment you wanted.

Actually this place is very nice. It is very central and clean.

If you are not a party person then you should look for another place. It is very loud at night time because of the surrounding area. So I had to sleep with earplugs. Also there is a thing in your room that makes a noise every hour because it sprays a scent. I thought that was annoying.

Excellent location, rooms provide several features like freezer, security box, etc., and they are cleaned daily.

Internet is very slow. Room has TV but there is no cable service, you have to use Netflix or other service, and since internet is not good, you simple can't watch TV. Rooms on third floor are not good since there is no elevator. Pool is a bad location.

It’s located near the center so it can be noisy at night with music. I could sleep without issue with earplugs.

I like the room, every day the staff came to clean the rooms and it was very quiet I didn't hear noises from the 5th avenue. Its a perfect stay if you come to do tours and wont be very long in the room. The room have good amount of space to put the luggage. You will also have good restaurants near by example: cochinita loka 100/100 and starbucks. In terms of safety its very safe, I could walk at 11-12 didn't feel unsafe.

Definitely value for money. location is great, in the center, close by beach and bus station. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was basic but fine. They let us leave our bags for some time during the day, which was very helpful. Easy check-in. Airco working good. WiFi was fine. Perfect English by the staff. All in all very happy with our stay.

There were very little power plug places in the room (and very unlogically placed). Was manageable tho. Nothing else to mention.

The hotel was located very close to the Quinta Avenida where all the shops and restaurants are. The pool was good The staff was very helpful and diligent

The hotel is close to a zone where there is a lot of noise so I would recommend taking some earplugs for sleeping. The water in the shower is not clean so it makes showering very hard. Our room was not locking so we had to leave it open and the staff did not really respond to this

the location was perfect walking distance to everything. 9 min walk to the beach. around the corner to the night life ( clubs everywhere) loud music all around. so if you are trying to have a chill time this is not the place. other than that it's a great place to stay. A/C worked great. housekeeping lady was very attentive. oh and there is FOOD!!! everywhere.

Simple, minimalist decor, welcoming staff.

On-site construction during the day didn’t allow us to enjoy sitting out by the pool area.
