NH Puebla Centro Histórico

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The location was close enough walk to el zocalo and to several good restaurants. The hotel had a decent restaurant on the premises. We needed to request blankets since the AC was either too warm or too cold, We requested blankets and they were quickly delivered to our room.

Our room door did not latch properly so it was difficult to properly secure the door. Some of the food at the buffet was not as good or fresh as I expected for the price. It would have been nice to have access to the refrigerator in the hotel room without having to ask for it to be unlocked.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in all my concerns and questions. The location is best suited for getting to know the city by foot.

Although I did receive a room upgrade I noticed that the room is spacious, however has little space for storing my clothes. and the safe was directly above the fridge (which was functioning but completely empty) what resulted in a very hot safe where I did not want to leave my laptop. Therefore someone from maintenance did have to come to my room and turn the minibar off in order for me to be able to use the safe at no risk for my laptop. I think this two things should be considered in the future. Thanks

There are scads of places to stay in Puebla, and I saw many really nice-looking hotels (including some quite atmospheric ones) of all price levels while walking around. In the end, the NH Centro Histórico served my purposes perfectly. At that point in my Mexico trip by bus (the last third), I was ready for a more modern establishment and very much enjoyed relaxing in the afternoon with a beer in the sunny pool area. My room was comfortable and clean, with a gorgeous view of San Agustín Church across the street. The wifi worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. The staff members were always friendly and helpful. After arriving from the main bus station (CAPU) -- where, sorry to say, the authorized taxi service is needlessly complicated and run by surly, nasty people -- it was a delight to enter into such a zone of calm and pleasantness. (At least the taxi driver himself was nice.) The zócalo was an easy 10-minute walk, and most of the other sights in this amazing city were easily reachable by foot or a short taxi ride.

Except for the rude welcome provided by the CAPU taxi autorizado, I enjoyed every bit of my time at this hotel and in this city. While in no way overrun, Puebla had a notably more touristy vibe than the other stops on my itinerary (Veracruz and Xalapa), and it is clear that more international tourists are "discovering" it. It seems to be a popular domestic destination as well. And deservedly so.

Thebuffet breakfast was so incredible.

I booked the hotel for the use of the rooftop pool, but they said it was closed for maintenance. When we arrived there we checked out the pool and there was no maintenance going on and the water was super clean...so I bought my wife a bathing suit and we returned to the hotel early to enjoy the pool. We were kicked out after a few minutes with the LIE that maintenance was going on. I really hate when a hotel Lies.

The staff is lovely, the location is perfect and the hotel is very comfortable.

My only recommendations have to do with maintenance: in my room the reading light didn't work and there were problems with the air conditioner. Fortunately, these were all solved most efficiently. I do think that you need better lighting in the bathroom: I don't use makeup or even comb my hair, but I could hardly see myself in order to shave!

Great location, right in the middle of everything ! The room was spacious and very quiet day and night. The king bed was super confortable and the bed linen amazing ! SUPER GREAT VALUE

It is a bit old and some repairs should be done like, for example, changing the caulking around the shower door because the water link on the floor all the time !

1. closer to the historic centre and may restaurants are near by. 2. the staff was professional and helpful. the check-in process was fast. 3. while the variety of food could be improved, the breakfast buffet was good.

1. the gym gets extremely hot in the morning - recommend putting some blinds to block the sun. 2. it would be great if two water bottles are provided each day.

it was clean, location and the staff was excellent. Martita the cleaning lady excellent in cleaning my room . the guy I forgot his name but the one that handle the baggage was excellent and the service was great.

if I can say something negative it would be, not enough room to put my clothes and the front desk didn’t know I was a guess in their property when someone ask for me.

Great business hotel in the sense that you got what was to be expected, no unexpected surprises. Further to the point the hotel excelled on all parameters thus the expected got rated A within the range.

Everything lived up to expectations I have no quarrels. I can add though that there is nothing exotic or colorful about this property. So if you are looking for a genuinely Mexican experience this is not the place where to. This place has an international feel to it and could have been located anywhere.

Comfortable, clean and well-placed hotel in the centre of town. Enormous king-size bed and access to pleasant pool on the rooftop. Efficient, friendly service and good breakfast. Safe car park next to the hotel. Good value for money.

Modern hotel which is comfortable but lacks a little charm. Good as a business hotel.
