The Paramar Beachfront Boutique Hotel With Breakfast Included - Downtown Malecon

Breakfast was in a charming courtyard and attended by excellent staff. The breakfast is a definite step up from your typical American Continental breakfast. On our last day we checked out at 12 but our flight wasn't till 6. But the front desk welcomed us to stay as long as we wanted at the pool. So, we relaxed a bit more and finished off our stay with one final dip before we left.

For the money, the property exceed expectations. Is it a five start Resort? No. But everything was super clean and well taken care of. The reality lived up to the pictures and more. There's literally nothing I didn't like.

Perfect location of the hotel, right across the street from the beach, in a somewhat quiet area of town. Still had a few nearby options for food and drinks, and within a 10 min walk from the main scene of Puerto Vallarta. Nearby main street and streets immediately surrounding hotel felt mostly safe at night. Great staff at the hotel, really appreciated the complimentary towels and umbrella to take to the beach. The rooftop pool wasn't crowded during our spring break stay and the magnificent views from the pool (with pool bar) were an absolute highlight of the stay. Reception staff was most helpful and communicative, both in Spanish and English.

Breakfast could have been better; the complimentary breakfast only allows the selection of two items plus one drink, so coffee plus juice would cost extra. Execution of some dishes (e.g. french toast) was somewhat disappointing. Some complimentary daily water bottles would have been a welcome addition.

The ocean view from the deck was great, bathroom/shower very nice, clean, modern and roomy. Loved the kitchen with modern stove, fridge, microwave, pots and pans, cutlery, plates and cups, dish soap, coffee maker w/ sample coffee, etc.. Also the air conditioner in room, nice working TV, maid service great. We also loved the front desk staff (Guiermo, Kevin and Francisco) and their helpfulness and cheerful demeanor, made our stay so great, Got help with getting InDrive/Uber rides and taxi and helped with excursions and how to get places - excellente! Loved the location fronting a very nice beach and near to Malecon and some nice restaurants, & taco stands. We would definitely come back to stay again. Gracias!

Did NOT like when someone would smoke out on their balcony as would interfere with our enjoyment of our deck - this seemed to happen a lot especially at supper time and during morning. Would be nice if your hotel was non-smoking everywhere (similar to Hotel Rosita near the Malecon) where guests are not permitted/allowed to smoke anywhere on the hotel grounds, decks, rooms or other. Breakfast was OK but nothing spectacular, very basic but good. Especially liked the green juice drink. Service was excellent for the most part, young fellow very good waiting on tables. There was a lot of noise at night from people on the beach, but more so from the Barracuda restaurant especially on weekends that kept us up at night sometimes.

The hotel is beautiful, modern, super clean and the breakfast (included) is a big surprise. You actually order off a good sized menu and it was all delicious. The pool on the roof is really nice, a view of the ocean across the street, but not enough seating to accommodate a fully booked hotel. They also have very good security. There are a ton of good restaurants in this area, live music in the afternoon at several fun bars, a ten minute walk to the Malecon and shopping galore. It was also quiet at night, only one restaurant had music at night, and only one night during the week we were there, and that stopped right at 10pm.

The building next door, with an attached wall to The Paramar, was being renovated. Jack hammers never stopped from 9am to 5pm (five days straight). No naps or lounging on our balcony for us vacationers. Just unfortunate timing for us.

Super location. Street tacos for 20 pesos around the corner. Very clean rooms, bonus kitchen fridge, incredible views. Very few locations at this price at the waterfront. Breakfast made to order fresh from a menu. Portions were too big for me. Hotel is only 2 years old. No frills and excellent value. Loved the sound of waves with the open balcony. Slept like a baby. Came here because read all the reviews from Canadians. 👍👍

The room was large with a small balcony over-looking the sea. The shower had good power and a plentiful amount of hot water. There was a lovely roof top pool with sun loungers, an excellent view of the surrounding area (even an opportunity to see breaching whales) and a good snack bar provided food and drink options. The hotel had private secure parking. Breakfast provided a variety of Mexican and American options. The hotel was a ten minute walk from all the restaurants, bars etc as well as having choices in the surrounding streets.

Nothing not to like.

From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was very welcoming. Francisco, the door man was superb. He made food recommendations along with advising on what areas to see. The pool area was nice but we enjoyed the upper balcony. Highly recommended. A full breakfast menu was included with our stay.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Will be recommending it to all my friends and would definitely stay again. Staff were so friendly and accommodating! Location was excellent as you’re not too far away from anything! Also a very safe place itself and so is the area, which really helped two female travellers really enjoy the place!

Pros: Staff is wonderful. Room as described - especially liked the small kitchenette. Pool area is lovely. Listened to the sound of the waves once the bar down the street closed.

Breakfast was awful. Refried beans were soup - and served cold. Hotel requires a 500 peso deposit that is returned upon check out. From checkout we went immediately to the airport so had nowhere to spend the money. Requested they put the deposit on my credit card but they do not have a system to do that. Biggest complaint - and the hotel can't do anything about it - is noise. Loud bar close by that we got to listen to every night.

Perfect location. Nice workers! Kevin and Carlos were great!

There was construcción going on next door and was very noisy early in the morning . It's understandable but it was still very annoying.
