Great ambience, classic design, and good to chill and relax. Location is great near to everything.

Staff not always at the reception. Need to wait half and hour to show up. I booked private room but the quality of the room not privacy at all. Wall between the room use partition so u can hear even little noise of ur neighbor. Top of the door not fully covered for aircond ventilation. Their staffs stay at the same room area as well so can always hear their chitchat, phone call and they are noisy at times which is very disturbing.

This is the best hotel you can get in Penang for a reasonable price. I see saw many people had different issues in their reviews. Trust me, if you are traveling while working, this is the best hotel you can get. Each room got their own working area, and some rooms have the bed up stairs and work station underneath which is super helpful if you prefer working in isolation. Not only that they ve got plenty of co-working space available on 1st and 2nd floors which is so cool. And the person who manages it is super helpful and very kind. They ve got their own self service laundry area with free detergents. Honestly I would come to Penang just to stay in the hotel again for another week.

Good location. Thx to Sumon the very nice housekeeper. So friendly and helpful every where : reception, bar, breakfast… Free hotel. Nice breakfast included In an amazing old house and factory. Many common places to feel easy. It’s important because the rooms are very small and without windows

They didn’t give me the good spot to get WiFi. ( you Have Many many different spots) I had to waste 45min to get it ….only because I asked ! They didn’t tell me where was the lock after 22:30 to come back to the hotel. ! I was blocked outside 20 min at 1 am at the metal gate . Only a client arriving could save me. These 2 informations do have to be given when we arrive … Irregular WiFi

Cheap and the staff complied with all our requests! Very helpful and the fact that there's an archade machine there, made us stop by everyday just to play some games. Hehe. Strategic location, near to night market and it's quiet at night. And it's nextdoor to the restaurant that sells delicious pastries! Plus, we're grateful to have free access to the washing machine and the dryer and the staff is kind enough to keep our luggage on our last day after we checked out so we can visit a few places before we take it and headed to our next destination.

We have all the necessities so nothing not to like. If you're expecting luxurious stay you need to invest more and find somewhere else.

There is one guy and he is there all the time! We think he deserves a very BIG THANK YOU because he does everything (check-in, room changes, restaurant, breakfast and check-outs). The facilities are everything you need, very quiet and beautifully decorated! Just be aware that most rooms do not have a window (you are in a city after all). The location is amazing - everything within in walking distance, which is very good for the walking tours you can do by yourself. This property also provides a washing machine and free water. We would absolutely stay again. Just all in all great customer care!

We had the same problem as in another review with the smell out of the bathroom ceiling, which was resolved within 30 minutes by changing the room, even at 10:30pm - very thankful for that!

I thoroughly enjoy my stay there. I like that it was a goldsmith museum and there was some gym equipment for a workout when i ate too much in penang. There’s also a mini arcade console that reminded me of my childhood. Best part it is free (please don’t ever charge) The staff were very polite, and always greeted me when pass by the corridors. Very helpful and courteous. Laundry is free. Which is great! Not many places offer free laundry services in my travelling experience. For the price point, it is super value for money given its location and the experience! Definitely will stay there again.

I didn’t like that some residents didn’t respect the laundry area and chucked their shoes in the washing machine for a wash. Of course, its the responsibility of the resident but perhaps a sign could be put up to say clothes only no shoes

The location is absolutely perfect and the room we were moved to was great, clean and comfortable. The staff over watts app were quick to respond and very helpful the guy that works at reception and the coffee shop is very helpful and very efficient. We were very happy with our stay here

So this stay didn’t start that well we arrived and the first room we were given was not good it must have some issue with a leak or something because it had a very bad damp smell to the point it made you feel nauseous. Saying this though the minute we brought it to the attention of the guy at reception he asked us to send a wats app message to the owner I think who immediately started to work on having us moved to another room which we really appreciated and the other room was perfect and we slept very well in the end.

Kim Haus has a bit of a hostel vibe, very nice. Didn’t understand why there were no more guests because I would recommend this place for sure. Only thing is the (original) price for a room, but when you pay the booking price it is a nice price for what you get. You can also use the washingmachine and drying machine for free, have drinks in the bar etc. Saw online that they have live music every evening, that wasn’t there. Very nice staff and location is great, nearby several street art spots and shops/restaurants. Would recommend for travellers.

It was very quiet, expected more guests and also the reason the bar was closed/no live music.

1. The rest area in the center of the city should be convenient for transportation and eating. 2. There's plenty of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom area. 3. There are a lot of nice coffee shops and good restaurants around the resort. 4. Friendly and enthusiastic staff.

1. The rest area does not have an elevator, so take the suitcase to the 5th floor without support staff. It's a real obsession as a guy with a sore leg like me. 2. The room has been upgraded to deluxe but is not yet worthy of the name => Need to add some supplies.

Only the Penang Hills and Kek Lok Si require a bus or taxi, but even so, it was still a good decision to take a taxi there since it only cost us about 15-20RM. This property was in a more than excellent location. We purchased for internet access so that we could always connect to the map, which is useful for getting to any locations or streets you desire. The hotel is conveniently positioned on Campbell Street, just a short steps from Julia/Lebuh Cula, where you may enjoy a variety of nighttime cuisine on the street as well as the great street arts.

Only the first floor/reception area has a working WiFi network; the signal is too weak on the fourth floor. a very small toilet, about 1 square meters? It will be fantastic if it is larger.
