Hotel Edvards

Stayed four nights mid September. All the staff were so pleasant, courtious, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent with a very good variety of choice including hot, cold, fruits, yogurts and cakes. Rooms and hotel immaculate. Even though no coffe, tea in rooms you only had to ask at reception for a cup of coffe during day. Lift superb. Location great and all locations within reasonable walking distance but loads of bus , tram stops less than 5 minutes away Nothing but very satisfied with everything. Rooms overlook a small courtyard set away from the main road. PALDIES

Hotel Edvards is a great place for a quick getaway in Riga and it surprised us beautifully - the staff is incredibly friendly, the breakfast is even better than some more prestigious hotels, and our room was spacious, clean, comfy and had a great view from the balcony! The tram line is 10 minutes of walking and it was perfect for our main destination - the concert in Mežaparks. Although we did not ask the staff for any recommendations on what to visit in Riga, but I am sure they would have given us some fantastic places. I would really recommend this place for its quietness, breakfast, location, and staff.

Staff absolutely amazing! I arrived late (2am) due to flight delay, was welcomed with smile by amazing staff - they were always very helpful. Very clean hotel, fantastic breakfast and only 10mins walk from Old Town. Also very quiet- hardly any noise from the street. Very comfy bed. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay again on my next visit to Riga. Thank you for your hospitality guys, wishing you all the best and hope to see you soon!

No fault!!!

I have visited Hotel Edvards many times over the last decade. The family that runs the hotel is very nice and very helpful -- ask them anything, they are happy to help. The area immediately around the hotel has many good restaurants and cafes, and your hosts will kindly recommend which ones to visit.

The WiFi was weak at times in my room which was at the end of a long hallway. I would occasionally go down to lobby and work on my laptop, where the signal was strong, and I was always offered a complimentary cup of cappuccino! :-)

I spent only one night in this hotel but I was happy with my choice of staying. Even though I arrived quite late the girl at reception waited for me with smile on her face. Hotel is located 10 minutes of walking from old town so for me it was really OK. The room itself was smaller, but for me as a single traveler it was more than enough. Everything was nice and clean inside. Breakfast was tasty, they even let me to stay few hours after official check-out and that was really great help for me. In overall I really enjoyed my stay in Riga and I can only recommend this hotel to everybody who comes to this city.

The only thing I have to mention that for some reason wi-fi connection did not work entire time of my stay.

We visited this hotel in may, travelling with a baby. Although the hotel is not very modern and rooms are modest, I find that the price and location is excellent. Also, the family who manage the hotel is very friendly. They were very helpful when our baby made a mess in the breakfast room and asked if we have any special needs with the baby. Our baby was having a hard time eating babyfood from the store so it was very helpful of the lady in the hotel to cook us some saltfree lunch. Breakfast was also very good.

Rooms are comfortable and well cleaned, but not so modern. But that wasn't expected, you get a good immagine of the style from the photos.

Everything was absolutely perfect! It is small and very cosy hotel with wonderful and helpful staff. Very clean, nice and quiet rooms. Delicious breakfast with good coffee and the smiles of the staff...what a nice beginning of the day:) The owner recommended many nice places to visit or eat. The hotel is very close to the old town and there are many nice pubs and restaurants around as well. We hight recommend!

A hotel is a only as good as the people that care for you and the facility, and the staff at Hotel Edvards was top tier. Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, and tasty. Bed was comfy, room was clean, and the heated bathroom floor was an excellent surprise. To top it off, when my flight was delayed they extended my stay up until that evening!

My only complaint was my shower didn't drain fast enough, so there was always standing water. I can't fault the hotel as it was never a big enough inconvenience for me to say anything, as I am sure they would have remedied it immediately.

It is a nice boutique hotel in the very central location of Riga. We liked that the hotel was situated further from the street (in the inside courtyard) so it was very quiet during the day and night. Rooms were warm which was pleasant as it was a bit cold outside. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was great! I am vegan and I had many nice options to choose from. I greatly appreciate it!

There was a bit of a technical noise in the room, but that was not interfering with our sleep as well as I am noticing that this is something common for the hotels.

Firstly "The People". From the young woman welcoming us to the Breakfast Team .. all were so friendly and professional. Breakfast was lovely, fresh and with best coffee in our 3 week Sweden/Estonia/Latvia trip. Location is great .. nor far from center, from some great restaurants outside the center .. and very quiet. We would certainly use this hotel again
