Great location by the airport, excellent service, huge rooms, wonderful and convenient facilities, fast internet. Food was great.

For three adults (me and my parents) and my 3 kids we were forced to get a regular double room and a huge family apartment with a king sized bedroom and a bedroom with 2 single beds. My kids are young and ended up all just sleeping with me in the king sized bed because they were afraid to sleep in the singled bedroom, which was closer to the door than the king room. This made for a very expensive stay for me to sleep with three kids. I would have much preferred to take two double rooms, but that was not permitted.

The hotel is amazing but it is the staff who really made the stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and even ordering food for four at 2am was no problem and served with a smile. The room was huge and the lobby and public areas were spacious and comfortable. And the breakfast was outstanding - none of us eat meat and one is vegan and we all had an absolute feast.

The hotel could do with an update and deep clean. The room was huge but it wasn't as clean as we'd expect. The sheets and towels and the bathroom were all clean but the carpets, cupboards, etc, could have done with a proper deep clean. Other than that it was silly things that diaspointed like the remote controls didn't work and the toilet seat needed replacing. These are not what you expect from a 5-star hotel, but then where do you get a family room with three rooms and two bathrooms plus an amazing breakfast for less than £170 a night?

From start to finish the staff was absolutely amazing. From security to bellboys to receptionists to restaurant staff to the spa staff they couldn't do enough for you. The room was very spacious, clean, lots of eye for detail. The food was absolutely delicious. Beds very comfortable. Guest relations rang us in the room to ask if everything was alright which we appreciated too.

We had a spa treatment where we did a massage and asked to go in the jacuzzi and sauna beforehand but staff was standing next to us waiting until we were ready getting out of the jacuzzi which was a little bit uncomfortable.

We only stayed one night at the Opal as we wanted somewhere close to the airport but we wish we’d stayed longer. We visited the spa which was fantastic and a great way to relax after a long journey. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet and we had a little balcony which was lovely. We ordered room service for dinner and were really impressed with the food as we had eaten so well in Jordan and this was no exception. The team running the Opal were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Because we were leaving early, they arranged a breakfast box for us to take with us.

Nothing. As a base to explore Amman it may be a bit far out but to get to other places, perfect. For us it was the perfect place to end our trip.

An extremely comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 1 night before an early morning flight and the trip to the airport was very quick since the hotel is on the road to the airport so you don't have to go all through Amman. We left before breakfast but were provided with a breakfast box which was filling and tasty. There are several places to eat in the hotel complex. The food was tasty and good value. There are also various areas to sit and relax within the complex.

Our room was slightly small but there was a terrace. The view was just of the side of buildings but it did afford extra space to enjoy.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Opal Hotel in Amman, conveniently located on the Airport Road, and with the possibility of reaching different locations in a short time. From arrival to departure I was impressed by the elegance, care, services offered by the hotel, and above all by the attention of the staff, to whom I owe a big thank you to the welcome of Moayad and Baker for their kindness towards me. The room given was spacious and well insulated, with a pleasant little terrace where you can relax and all services available, and thanks to the kindness of Akram. I also had the pleasure of dining in the in-house Bait Al-Karam restaurant with exquisite Middle Eastern dishes. Thanks to Ibrahim and Baraa for a pleasant evening. In addition, I took advantage of the Spa where I found a relaxed location and an invigorating service. A positive note is that having to book more than a certain number of people do not enter so you can enjoy the whole journey in peace. Valuing quality and relaxation rather than the number of people entering is something I really appreciated. Strong point is the large terrace with cafe and possibility to use the narghilè, where it offers a spectacular panoramic view of Amman. I will certainly return to the Opal, where it is not just a place to sleep, but a place fit for royalty and at the same time welcoming as home. Definitely a place where I would gladly return!!! Truly Sincere Thanks. Tamer

Nice room. Comfy bed. The restaurant was lovely and great value, and I was only stared at a few times as a solo female. This is not related to the hotel itself at all, but there is a field of random loose camels at the bottom of the road — I liked them. I also liked that this wasn’t one of those large American tour bus hotels — there were license plates from Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi in the lot, i.e. This was more for actual Arabic folks than tour bus idiots, which I was beyond thrilled about. Nicest hotel that’s closest to the airport!

Why can’t I take the stairs? Why do you say you have a gym and then don’t, and then laugh when I ask about the gym and point me toward “spa for woman”? Thankfully I have a loud phone that I was able to play white noise on at full volume, and the TV at full volume to drown out the decibel 10 Saudi wedding happening all night. No toilet roll. Very hot room. Minibar consisted of one sugary soda. So many gates and guards that it’s a weird fortress for no reason — it’s nice, but we’re not exactly at the Four Seasons. Breakfast buffet was entirely outside and thus, most things were swarmed with enormous wasps. I risked my life for those apples for my yogurt and muesli. Pool is indoors.

The property is the closest high quality hotel to the airport. This was perfect for our needs. (There is nothing else in the vicinity as it sits about halfway between Amman proper and the airport.) The staff was excellent and attentive. We were using Amman as a transfer for this leg of the trip so we booked a family suite for two nights so that it was available for our early arrival and late departure back to the airport on the same day. The spa facility was a lovely added bonus and we took full advantage of it. It is gender separated (typical if you’re familiar with travel in the region). The restaurants offered a variety of quality food. Arrived just in time for late breakfast (and the front desk called up to request the buffet be held open until we could finish dining). It was as excellent and the staff was very accommodating. We also had dinner in the other restaurant before departure.

In both restaurants, shisha were available but there was no designated area for them so they were everywhere and we ended up breathing in unwelcome fumes. The only other disappointment was that no alcohol was served. We traveled extensively in Jordan for 3. At all of the 5 star hotels we visited, a quality bar and wine were available. We dined in the high end restaurant on the property and would have enjoyed a glass the excellent Jordanian wine with dinner - but all that was on offer were soft drinks - and shisha everywhere. To truly earn five stars, this is something Opal should add to its offerings.

I had heard about The Opal from co-workers and their description did not do it justice. An absolute gorgeous property, very friendly, helpful staff, beautiful room with a lovely view and the breakfast was unsurpassed! I felt like I was in a European grand hotel at a much more reasonable price. I will absolutely stay here again in the future. I can't say enough about this wonderful property.

Through no fault of the hotel. ORDER UBER! Taxi drivers in Amman request outrageous prices (with completely arbitrary "fee schedule") for rides but Uber is extremely reasonable.

Opal is the name of a precious gemstone and a high level of luxury. It means the eye of the sun, and it is translucent with a sparkling shine and has been of great importance in many cultures for thousands of years. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Opal Hotel in Amman, conveniently located on Airport Road, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived until the departure, I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel's offerings and services. First and foremost, the location of Opal Hotel is a major plus point. Being situated on Airport Road made it incredibly convenient for me to access the airport, making my travel experience much smoother. The hotel's well-insulated rooms provided a peaceful environment, allowing me to have a restful night's sleep. The staff at Opal Hotel truly made a difference during my stay. From the friendly and efficient check-in process to the attentive room service, I felt welcomed and well-cared for throughout my time there, making me feel valued as a guest. My room at Opal Hotel was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bed was cozy and provided me with a good night's sleep after a long day of travel. The amenities provided in the room were top-notch, including a flat-screen TV, a well-stocked minibar, and a modern bathroom with all the necessary toiletries. The hotel's dining options were impressive as well. The on-site restaurant "Bait Al-Karam Restaurant" offered a wide selection of delicious dishes, local, Middle Eastern, and international cuisine, catering to various tastes. One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop Cafe and terrace area. The panoramic view of Amman from up there was breathtaking. In conclusion, my experience at Opal Hotel Amman was exceptional. The hotel's location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities all contributed to making my stay enjoyable and memorable.
