B&B La Rosa dei Venti

The owner, present every morning, was gracious and helpful with advice and suggestions. The view from the dining area was gorgeous and I guess it is that and the convenient location is what you pay for.

The room was small and could barely accommodate 2 open suitcases, one out of necessity on the floor. The shower in the bathroom was so tiny my husband could barely close the doors and he is not an overly large man. There were 2 tiny packets one of shampoo and one of body wash each with only enough for one person’s shower. The first day the cleaner would not give me more though she later relented. The next day I was given more but it struck me as rather stingy for the cost of the accommodation.

Location, flexibility about leaving suitcases in the first and last day. The wonderful view.

Great bargain for this unbeatable location! Perfect view of San Marco basin straight out our floor-length windows that open onto a Juliet balcony. Shabby chic charm--a little taste of Venetian decadence. Enormous room with door from common area--large hall really that serves as a parlor--where a plentiful breakfast with coffee is served. We enjoyed talking with Giovanni, the proprietor and a native Venetian, who graciously served us.

Air conditioning was not working so we left our enormous windows open all night. The breeze was lovely but unfortunately mosquitos wafted in on it and had a feast on my cheek. Don't know exactly what might be done about this act of nature but would have appreciated some warning and some preventative help. The other drawback is the absence of a lift. Walking up is part of the charm but something to be aware of.

The hotel is located 10 minutes away from St Marco Square by foot. We had a fantastic view of the lagoon which was right in front of the building and totally loved the room. The breakfast was good, the room was clean. We went there for our anniversary. It was great trip.

There was a mix up with the rooms so another guest had taken our key and we spent the first night in a room that was not the one we had booked and was not as nice. It was a bit of a disappointment.

The location was amazing, most stunning and picturesque view from the lounge (our room was not a sea view room). The breakfast was good and set us up for the day. Giovanni was excellent, very warm, welcoming and helpful with any questions. Julia was a delight and very welcoming too. We loved our stay!

Convenient, very clean, well-priced, excellent breakfast, helpful owner. Balcony room is a MUST!

The beds were a little hard- they need a topper, the building should be better marked from the street- it was hard to find, there needs to be some instructions for opening the door as it took us a long time to figure it out, at 2am, and the owner did not answer his phone when we called for help.

The room was huge and comfortable, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean, the shower was great. The breakfast was good, indoor but with a view to the grand canal. Giovanni and the other staffs were very attentive and friendly. We could leave the bags after the check out until our flight time. The location is great. The vaporetto stop is 3 min walk, you can also walk to san marco of other famous touristic spots.

Location, Room Size, Views. From the moment you walk through the building front door you have the feeling of traveling back in time and that you are staying in an old mansion. Personalized customer service, the owner attends you directly and does everything possible to make your stay perfect.

Air conditioning didn't work well, only as a fan.

Very good location, approx 10min to St.Mark square. If you are in Venice just for few days, it’s perfect stay. It was very clean and nice. Room was small, but comfy, nice bathroom. Our rooms view wasn’t towards the water, but well 🙈 and anyway, we didn’t order view, but next time definitely will.

There was no vegetables during breakfast.

The room itself was nice and clean, and the perfect place to rest, but the breakfast room had wonderful big windows that gave us nice views of the Grand Canal and the St Mary Church on the opposite side, with nice continental breakfast that was just the perfect way to start the day.
