Palazzo Margherita

We loved our time in Positano at Palazzo Margherita! The apartment was lovely with beautiful tile and antiques and it had the most amazing deck with lounge chairs and seating to take in the epic views of the coastline. Drinks on the deck at sunset were a highlight. We so appreciated Mauro's care of us from helping us arrange transport from Naples to getting us situated in the apartment, as well as letting us safely leave our luggage so we could enjoy our last day before catching the ferry. Mauro gave wonderful recommendations of hikes, activities and the most amazing lunch spot we have ever experienced. We are so grateful for his time and input. We will be back!

This place is beyond expectations , the location, the room , The staff . Mauro the concierge he go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable , he get in charge of every detail to make your stay special . The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. (specially to the balcony)High quality rooms(apartments) we stayed for 2 days but this is perfect to stay a week or more to be able to enjoy the beautiful view just from your balcony and the beautiful village of Positano.

The location of the hotel is the best you can ask for. The apartment had everything you can ask for: living room, family room, dining room, beautiful bedroom, kitchen, large patio, and the best view you can ask for in Positano!!!!!!

The only thing better would have been to have our family and friends share this beautiful and wonderful place. There was a market right next door where my wife and I bought all kinds of fresh stuff to make for so many meals and treats.

Weak WiFi signal on the terrace (room- Palazzo). Electrical sockets in the walls could be replaced. There are no any staff here after hours. If you need any help, you have to call manager Mauro, who can be at home at that time! For example, I forgot my keys after hours, and I disturbed manger, he answered immediately and helped without any questions. And I saw how he arrived to help someone at the night! But I’m not sure, that he can be available anytime. I think, that additional dedicated staff could be here or not far away to help clients after hours. Thanks!

Mauro is amazing! Incredibly friendly and helpful, he made our stay 10000x better. Our apartment (San Sebastiano) was wonderful and had everything we needed. We had an amazing view. Additionally, it was very quick to get down to the beach and the shops. There was a mini mart with basically everything you would need 1 min down the road.

Positano is a vertical city so one must take into account their comfortability with walking on elevation and stairs. With hat being said, the hotel is situated at the top of Positano, with many staircases down to the beach- if you have difficulty walking stairs I would stay somewhere a bit closer-otherwise this is the perfect location! It was completely doable for me (27yF), my sister (6yF) and parents (both in 50-60s) who have no health problems.

Bit of a belated review, though if there were more stars we'd give it 10! We organised to stay at Palazzo Margherita at the start of July as we loved the view and wanted to get married there over looking Positano. From the minute I messaged Mauro regarding the potential of using his hotel to get married, he could not of been any more helpful. From the photographer to the private boat, celebrant, places to eat, private transfers, you name he did it. Amazing man who deserves more than this 5 stars, he made our day so special and we couldn't be more appreciative of everything he did for us! Definitely stay at his hotel, book a room with a view (oh wait they all have one), crack a Peroni and don't look back. Some photo's attached to prove the magic!

Absolutely nothing. Would stay there again and again, and then stay at Mauro's new hotel in 2 years time.

The views were fantastic! We enjoyed the location - far enough uphill to have an iconic view of the side of town above the ferry terminal, but along the Amalfi Drive so we didn't have to worry about hauling luggage up/down stairs or having drivers need to navigate the one way road that winds through the part of town at lower elevation. Plenty of dining options as well as a food market close by, and you have the choice to walk along the roads to get to the Piazza di Mulini or take a more strenuous short cut via stairs. My family had no issues with either route - I am out of shape and preferred to walk along the roads! Really enjoyed having our own private patio with seating as well as a balcony off of the bedroom. Property was very clean and furnishings were in good condition. The photos they have posted for the property and the views from the patios are true to life. Though we chose to eat most meals in restaurants, the kitchen was well stocked had we chose to prepare / eat meals in the apartment. The reception manager was EXTREMELY helpful in arranging ground transportation from/to Naples Airport and our boat tour.

Not a dislike really, but instead a tip. We stayed in the Praiano apartment which was on the entry level for the building. The bedroom its ensuite were quiet however you could periodically hear noise from the road and from other guests entering/leaving the building in the apartment's living area where the sofa bed is located. If you are going to have someone in your family sleep on the sofa bed you may want to have them wear ear plugs if they are light sleepers.

Please ignore all the reviews talking about the stairs. There are TWO ways to walk up to the hotel. The stairs are very quick. But if you don’t like stairs- Uk I walk on the main road in a gentle slope and it is lovely. As for the apartment. It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. A dream come true. Everything you need is there and it is all beautifully disguised in authentic Italian decor. The views are the best you will get in Positiano. You could happily sit on the balcony for hours. There is a kettle, toaster, mircowave, cooker and dishwasher which is lovely if you want to cook at home. There is a food shop 1 minute away. You are a five minute walk so so many lovely restaurants. Mauro the host was incredibly helpful, both before our arrival and during our stay. We will definitely visit again and Mauro is a big part of that. Cannot recommend enough.

It was perfect. No complaints

Loved everything about this property! Location, Cleanliness, and View was AMAZING!!! Mauro was a gem! He was so helpful in planning a trip to Capri and reserving a private boat tour. He recommended amazing restaurants and planned our transfers. Anything we needed he was there to accommodate us.

Nothing, everything was great!

Palazzo Margherita was exceptional. The property was conveniently located to the center of Positano. The apartment was quite spacious, beautifully decorated and had a fabulous view of Positano and the sea. The property truly exceeded our expectations. The Concierge made arrangements for us to be transported to and from the property and the train station in Naples. He also booked a private cooking class for us, which was conducted on the property. He also recommended several local restaurants. We highly recommend Palazzo Margherita and look forward to our next visit.
