Hotel Conca D'Oro ***S

Perfect location. Easy walking distance to cafes, shops and bus station but very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view overlooking the lake, the best mattress I have ever slept in. Staff ere always friendly and very helpful. All aspects were perfect. I cannot find one thing to complain about. A good choice at breakfast, room was clean and I would suggest opting for a balcony as the back rooms overlooked a busy main road. Rooms were airconditioned and fresh towels every day. The food was excellent with a good choice of Pizzas seafood and steak. In fact my husband said it was the best fillet steak he had ever had! I can't recommend this hotel enough and we cannot wait to go back.

Very petty criticism but the shower cubicle was a bit small.

The room is small but suitable for two people and a short stay. The bathroom is practical and overall neat and well arranged. I particularly appreciated the location. The main road is very close and the city centre is easily reachable with a few minutes walk. Breakfast was quite good but lacked information (tags that indicated what it was, especially for fruit juice and brioches). The staff was welcoming, especially the breakfast lady, who accommodated our requests and was very gentle.

Breakfast was good although it was better if you got up early as things got depleted and didn't seem to be replaced. The location was good, right on the lake front.

The room wasn't the cleanest we have stayed in with cobwebs still dangling from the ceiling when we left. The staff couldn't arrange a taxi to the airport after the one I had organised on Booking.com cancelled the night before - (they gave me a couple of business cards to call but neither firm could do it).

Significantly cheaper than other nearby options, but the room was quite modern and new. I loved that the room had a small fridge. The lady who runs the breakfast was extremely nice. The gigantic apricot croissants were delicious! The room was exceptionally clean on arrival and each day.

Not an issue for me, but rooms facing the street (not the lake) might be noisy for some.

The fact that you can’t park you’re car in front of the hotel, is a payed parking. You have to walk 5-10 min outside the city for the parking. The tables in the restaurant inside are very close to the breakfast stuff so they are in the way. Just remove 2 tables and it is much better to reach everything

The lakeside view from the room/balcony was breathtaking. Also the service level was way above expectations. We received a lot of understanding and personal help with the taxis and our unorthodox schedule. It really felt that we were quests rather like a customers.

Breakfast was adequate but could've been better for the room price (especially the automatic cafe machine was a little bit disapointing).

The location of the hotel is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Eating breakfast outside on the terrace over looking the lake is a great way to start the day!

The parking is a short walk from the hotel but is manageable, and there is an option to park near the hotel to load and unload the car. The air conditioner in the room is not very strong.

Room was comfortable however it was alongside the main road and not well sealed from noise- should have booked a balcony. It’s location and access to its restaurant were very good.

Reception staff helpful and friendly breakfast staff attitude. Parking is a problem and we were unable to park as offered because of crowds.

the parking place was not by the hotel, the breakfast was I think a bit simple, but that was my experience with 4 places I stayed in Verona area, maybe that is the thing there.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was a decent size. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice and tasty. The location was great. With a lovely view from the restaurant terrace. There were towels and shampoo/ shower gel that smelt great. We were given a pass for a local parking. Great location to walk around and explore.
