Forty Four Main Street

The room was clean and tidied up nicely. This may be a 3-star hotel but I rated it as 4 because the staff were nice. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor which is pretty cool and convenient. They serve hot meals all the time. In terms of location I rated it as 4 instead of 3 because even though it is far from the city center (Dublin), 20-30 min by private vehicle, or 30-45 min by bus depending on peak times of passengers, the bus station is just located close to your doorstep.

They gave us fresh towels daily except on weekends when the housekeeping didn't come. I address the issue and they also sent us fresh towels later.

Good location, in the heart of Swords and close to everything you would need. Hotel room was comfortable with good ventilation. Staff were excellent; everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. bar area was comfortable with a good atmosphere. Good food and selection of drinks. Close to the airport and Dublin City Centre easily accessible - not that I needed to travel in on this occasion

Hard to fault. No car park, but public car parks available opposite the hotel and some parking on the main street. So by no means an issue

This room with a "limited closet" was good for a one night stay with quick access to the airport in Dublin.It was part of a bar(where you checked in) with rooms on the second floor reached by an elevator and stairs and had a private entrance in an alley alongside the bar accessed by your room key.There are cafes and restaurants nearby for food as well as the bar.Not really good for multi night stay if you needed to unpack.

Nothing else needed for a one night stay.ROOM SIZE AND BATHROOM WERE FINE.Check in person was courteous and explained carefully the use of the facility and escorted us to the room.

The staff were amazing and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. The bar area had good food and a nice atmosphere. I had a tasty pasta dish. I really enjoyed chatting to other customers in the bar. The quality of fixtures and fittings in the room is excellent. The bathroom is beautiful. The room felt spacious. I liked how close this place is to the airport.

It was a little bit strange not being able to check in even 30 minutes or 5 minutes early. I have never experienced this before. I understand that the staff need cleaning time but it felt like a discipline for guests from an unseen manager. Whilst I appreciate the quirkiness of the paper plane wallpaper, it nearly put me off booking the room. The acid yellow and lemon combo don't work and don't look appealing on the photos especially. This is a shame because the actual quality of the room and cleanliness is excellent

We stayed in the room for people with disabilities. The bathroom was large and spacious which was helpful. The rooms were clean and we especially liked having our own private balcony with table and chairs. The location was wonderful and let us experience the Swords area. We walked to the Swords Castle ruins, the St. Columba Cathedral, the Old School House, and up and down Main St. It was all close by and gave us something to do since we were only in Swords for one night. We also enjoyed the band playing Irish music in the Pub.

The bed was too hard for me to be comfortable. I had to place pillows under my legs in order to lessen the back pain from the hardness. It was a rainy and dark day which made the room dark even with all the lights on and the curtains open. I know the weather is not in your control, but the room could have used more lighting. Breakfast was served too late for us to eat before having to leave for the airport and catch our flight.

I have stayed at the 44 a number of times over the years. Very happy with the level of cleanliness and comfort of all of the rooms. They seem to redecorate the rooms very regularly and they are well maintained.

I am quite a light sleeper, for some reason there was a lot of noise coming from the bathroom at night. it appeared to be the sound of plumbing/boiler/Aircon that seem to be to be on all night. Maybe it said something to do with the heated towel rail, which was continually on. I ended up keeping the door closed to the bathroom so I couldn’t hear the noise. Also, there was quite a big gap under the room door, and the light eminating the corridor was keeping me awake. (this, however, was easily fixed, I used a rolled up towel to block out the light).

Great room, comfortable clean bed, great bathroom and shower. Great location in Swords village, access to Pavillions shopping center across the road, loads of other great pubs and restaurants in the area but the Fourty Four's kitchen serves a wonderful full breakfast and everything else i ate there was excellent, probably the best pint of Guinness in Swords served by a wonderful friendly staff and Manager Brien, the housekeeping as well was excellent, fresh towels and made up room every day....couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and will definitely be back, book with confidence.

A minor quibble and a small detail but nicer towels would be a quality upgrade.

The location was fantastic right near the airport. The service and food at the bar downstairs were excellent. The beds were comfortable and the room was very nice and clean.

The shower was cold water and we had to leave at 4am to catch a flight and it was a little difficult to navigate getting out with an attendant not there 24 hours. We were also on the highest floor. A wonderful staff member was there to help us with our bags when we arrived, but since there is nobody there overnight, we had to bring the bags down the stairs ourselves. The elevator doesn’t go all the way up to the top floor.

The room was nice and functional. The location of Swords was handy as it was close to the airport to catch an early flight. There was good choice of parking on the street (though noting some restrictions and payment during the day which did not affect me as arrived late/left early). Good security with automated access to rooms.

Not a negative as such, but entrance to hotel was a bit of confusing - there is no separate entrance to the hotel - its at the back of a pub, and I checked in at the bar - just something to be aware of.
