Harper Malioboro Yogyakarta by ASTON

The location was much better than expected; really close to the buzz of Jalan Malioboro. The breakfast was huge and very tasty. The lay-out of the breakfast room is very nice for single travellers. I received a free upgrade from a superior room to a superior suite which was a nice surprise. I had a water dispenser in the suite but they are also in the hallways so you can just fill your bottle whenever you want. And last but not least, even in a friendly country like Indonesia, the staff of Harper Malioboro is OUT OF THIS WORLD. As a single, female traveller, I could not have felt better taken care of. Everyone went out of their way to assist me with whatever I needed, from reception to breakfast staff to housekeeping to bell boy etc. Job perfectly done! I can totally recommend!

Absolutely nothing! Would have wanted to stay longer!

Hotel is located ath the main street, very close to the bars, restaurants, train station about 5 min. There is a swimming pool with nice view to the city. good breakfast and very various. Room was clean, staff was friendly

Very comfortable room and huge range/ selection for breakfast, snacks provided in room were free too! Quality of bread options at the breakfast buffet were so-so, but the local foods provided were pretty good - I liked the fruits, juices and many drinks options. Reception staff were polite and service was good, the only occasional issues were more when the staff could not quite understand the query due to his English language proficiency, but I think the service training & attitude of the reception and restaurant staff were as a whole, excellent.

The quality of the in-room massage provided by the hotel was very so-so , I believe it's a massage services partner that they use. In-room massage is convenient, but for better quality and price of the massage, I would prefer external massage stores, or if the hotel allows, to get your own in-room massage services.

Love breakfast. Lots of variations don't get bored because every day (I stayed for 5days) can try a different type. There are traditional food, drinks, herbs and pastries. The restaurant location convenient, spacious and well organized. Fast service, the food always fresh and never empty. One more good cutlery is stored in a sterile machine. Free mini bar in room really great, everyday filled with new ones.

- the safe deposit in room is not easy to use. - the tissue too soft and small size, held wet hands crush. Give better quality please. Or give small towel in bathroom to wipe hands. - the toothpaste is also small, preferably a minimum size for 2 days (4x use) :) - I stayed for 4 nights, at least the sheets are changed every 2 nights, hopefully that has been done.

The strongest point of this hotel comes to its location and coziness. In terms of location, this hotel is at the heart of Yogyakarta city, whilst its coziness coming from the room complimentary drinks and snacks. Bravo!

As much as I enjoy this hotel, there is a room of improvements required for this hotel, as follows: 1. Upon entering the room, apparently there were a malfunction to the socket near the working table. 2. The noises from the construction at the other rooms are laudable to my room. 3. On my second day, the room does not smell like it has been cleaned up.

Very wide selection of food on the buffet at breakfast. Comfortable rooms with very comfortable beds. We loved the water filters in the hall to refill drink bottles, and the complimentary snacks and drinks in the mini bar.

Our (6) rooms were all on different floors despite us booking for adults and children (e.g. children on separate floors from adults!) when we checked in. But the reception staff were very diligent in rectifying this. Dinner service was a bit slow the one evening we ate in the hotel.

We stayed before in this hotel. The location is convenient. Malioboro street is not far away. Breakfast was decent, enough choice. Quality is good. The staff is as always, polite and friendly. The restaurant did improve! Despite the price, the food is very good. Absolutely a fan!

Like all hotels in Indonesia. Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance. It is in the small details. Like the bathroom in the room does need an update. A little bit of paint here and there would be nice.

We originally only booked online for 1 night. We extended our stay by an extra 3 nights booking through the hotel. We ended up paying an extra $10 per night booking at the reception compared to booking online. From previous experience the hotel always matched the online price. So just a heads up if you want value for money extend online.

Very nice & chique hotel in the very center of the city. Got a free upgrade due to the birthday of my girlfriend (and a birthday cake!). Helpfull reception staff with finding the right restaurant. Breakfast was amazing, never saw a buffet like this in my life, gained 5 kg’s in three days.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful and went out of their way to help at all times. The breakfast was fit for kings and queens with around 13 stations with all kinds of local food. there was even at station for children a candy floss and sweets. Incredible! A very comfortable Hotel and good value for money/
