Grand Palace Hotel Sanur - Bali

Pool access is very convenient, comfortable beds, good waterpressure, nice room service and very timely. Able to leave some luggage until one comes back.

First day the bedlinnen was dirty with crusty filth on the left side from previous guests and they said they couldn't change it before 22.00 o'clock. They didn't even offer me to change room I myself had to ask as it was 18.00 o'clock and I wanted to take a nap. Moved room which was fine until I the next morning wanted to go for breakfast and the door would not close. It would stay open with a 30cm gap. Now I had to wait for maintenance because obviously didn't want to leave with all of my things in the room. It was difficult to communicate with both front desk and Housekeeping on the phone. It seemed only one person was good enough in English to be able to understand when there are issues.

Very spacious rooms, friendly staff and nice pool area. Rooms are reasonable rate for the size.

Hotel is on the main road and can be quite difficult to walk along or cross over to some eatery's on the other side.

Moment you pull up you can see the quality in the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and huge. I stayed in the Suite with pool access. Was a beautiful room with lots of space. Only downfall was no international plugs (been in other cheaper hotels and had upgraded internal plugs which were a great help) you cannot fault the quality or size. The pool is lovely too and the RESTAURANT food was amazing! Well priced too.

The ‘gym’ was tiny and just pointless - didn’t even bother, joined a local gym. A lot of The staffs English is quite poor, so had some communication issues at times.

Very clean hotel, staff very attentive and friendly. Service was good. Breakfast was plentiful. There is no noise from the main road, hotel is very quiet. The premier room was spacious and comfortable.

Although it was only a short walk to the beach/restaurants the hotel is located on the main road. There is a free shuttle. More sun beds would be an advantage. Unfortunately the mini fridge didn't keep anything cold.

Hotel located on the main street with restaurants nearby; room is a bit old, but quiet and spacious. Only chose this hotel as a stopby as my flight arrives quite late.

Breakfast was too basic

Great rooms, great breakfast and fantastic pool. A big thanks to Reny at reception who was always so nice and remembered my name. So nice. Also thanks to security for helping me cross the very busy road. Good work guys.

We booked this as a convenient 1.5 day stay before heading to the airport. For the cost, the rooms were huge, smart & comfortable. The breakfast was simple but also very reasonably priced. My vegan husband managed to piece together beans on toast with grilled tomatoes & sauted potatoes + the usual fruit/ bread/ jam …which was helpful because Sanur is not an easy place to be vegan. The hotel was perfect for our needs (easy access to the airport). We also used Booking.com for the airport taxi booking, which was cheaper than anything being offered locally.

It’s on a very busy road, but you can’t hear this from the rooms. It’s about 15 mins walk to the beach/ main town. If staying for an actual holiday, you probably want to be at one of the resorts closer to the beach.

Actually booked a family room and 2 other rooms. Family room was great but not a fan of where our rooms 101 and 102 were situated. Would have really liked something closer to the pool. One of our rooms was on the first floor no 209 and the other was on ground floor room 128, which would have been fine for us if we could have had an extra single bed in the room to make it into a triple, this is a great room near the pool and we have stayed in this room before. Not a criticism in any way, just an idea to work with for our next stay. Breakfast was amazing as always, and one of the best coffees in town. Staff were just beautiful and could not do enough for us, must say it was our pleasure to see that Dharma is still employed, also met some fabulous young trainees.

Our family room was huge being rooms 101 and 102, but next time would like a similar room with an extra bed near pool.

We had a fantastic stay here clean rooms staff were very helpful, its on a very busy road but when your in the hotel you wouldn't think so. we had a pool side room for 7 nights and it was well worth the money. Breakfast was good usual set up for hotels in Bali would definitely stay again if we where going to Sanuar.

Only hassle is like a few people have pointed out is the busy road and lack of pavements outside the hotel to get to the beach/ restaurants/shops which is about 15 min walk not suitable for family's with little children if walking to and from these areas .

Polite staff, everything is clean and beautiful, good service, nice big pool, excellent restaurant in front of the hotel, you can walk to the beach in 15 minutes.
