Soho Boutique Hotel

Soho Boutique hotel is situated few minutes walk from Blaha Lujza Tér, intersection of metro and buses. It takes around 17 minutes to go by river by walk. There are many bars and restaurants around hotel, what was more than welcomed as many restos and bars close after 10 PM during workdays in old town. Next to hotel is 24/7 grocery store with very nice prices. Soho hotel has small rooms, be aware, that's why it is called as Boutique. We had no problem with as we were mostly outside enjoying city :) Breakfast were satisfying - ham, cheese, eggs, sausages, yoghurts, fruits, soya and coconut milks....and many possibilities of vegetables (lettuce, rucola, radish, tomato..) what we were happy about! The staff is very nice, polite and helpful :) The biggest advantage is private garage parking the hotel has. The parking garage is small and should be better organised but we made it with our almost 5 metres long car without any bigger issue (and next to us was parking a car of same size). If you don't have skills with parking in small area, you can always leave your car on street in front of hotel (that's paid as well, sometimes free during weekends). What we liked: -Staff is very nice! -Location, metro station 3 minutes away by walk -Soya milk and variant of vegetables at breakfast -Private parking garage (20 euros per night, you need to make a reservation) -24/7 grocery store in front of hotel -Reasonable price for accommodation

What needs to be improved: -Better organised parking in garage (a lot of space is consumed by unwise storages) -Cleanliness!!! - I was grateful that I went through comments before we accommodated. It was mentioned there that towels were dirty so I packed our own. One our towel was from make up! (was it even changed?) After this finding we were using only our towels. Dust almost everywhere, on shelves, on TV, on mirror in bathroom.. no idea if the room was not used for longer time or cleaning ladies are not precise. Shower-floor is quite outdated, preferably use filp-flops. Note to hotel: Please, be careful about the cleanliness, your hotel is very nice, well located but all experience can be spoiled only because of dirty towels.

Great hotel, fantastic location for the sightseeing bus, it was round the corner from the New York Cafe number 11. The hotel was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. The breakfast was basic but sufficient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic welcome when arriving at 3am. We would return to this hotel.

As much as the hotel gave us what we needed - bed and breakfast, I definitely wouldn't call it 4star hotel. The bed was comfortable but the size of the room was pretty small. The shower was very strangely designed which is maybe fine for a couple but I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable staying with a friend. Shampoo and soap was almost non existent,you better off to buy your own, towels also saw better times. But as I said,we just spent time there to sleep and we're off after breakfast. Also if it's a 4* maybe kettle or coffee maker would be nice to have in the room

The location was amazing ! The hop on hop off bus was a 1 minute walk from the hotel all the main attractions were within walking distance couldn’t fault it the rooms were small but the bed was so comfy the shower was amazing really powerful and hot and it was spotless clean just what you want for a city break perfect for a couple of nights would recommend it to anyone the staff Christian and everyone were so lovely and helpful a real credit to the hotel

There was no tea making facilities in the room but the coffee at breakfast was lovely so not really a negative

Good cost/comfort ratio

Big bottle of water unexpectedly appeared to be paid... Even though it was not in a fridge. Usually if something is on the table - it is gift. I paid just 2 euro but have spoiled my good impression about the hotel. Probably, will not book it again..

The property was situated in a very good location of Budapest with many bars and restaurants around and close to the train station by a public transport. The room I stayed in was incredibly spacious. I actually got a free upgrade since I was a solo traveler staying only for a night which I was very thankful for. Highly appreciated it! The breakfast offered a huge variety of food hot and cold. Also the AC was very appreciated.

The way to the room was a little confusing and it was easy to get lost. However, I was given a directions to the room on the paper.

The price is correct. The best is kindly of staff. In the first place the receptionist guy. He was pentient and kind to us, and we have so many questions..about parking, about Budapest, pubs ... The buffet breakfast was very good, they thought on everything, there was everything and everything was delicious. We were looking for curtains, because our were transparent, the next day it was resolved.

Parking!!! On the booking page it says that hotel have own parking in object which is not true. Budapest has many underground garages, there were two near the hotel. we left the car there. the price is high but your car is safe. The friendly receptionist recommended it to us.a The girl who takes care about fridge and bar, entered into the room even we told her not to. Very unpleasant. :(

Our travel to the wonderful city of Budapest was as a couple on a last minute city break. in summary, you cannot go wrong with this hotel. However EVERYTHING in context!! LOCATION: Lots of bars and pubs within a few hundred metres. A few shops. However this is because, Budapest is such a large city! To get to the main sites requires a short metro ride. This is about £2 each and takes maybe a 2 minute walk, then a 3 minute tube ride. So everything is close, but dont expect to walk to everything! STAFF: Amazing! from check in to check out, including everyone in dining, the front if house staff almost certainly make this hotel. Very helpful, and friendly. perfect english, and honest advice. If you need anything ahead of your trip then my advice is call the hotel direct and ask. ROOM: I need to get this out of the way. The room is not big. The decor is nice. The cleaning is good. The room has all that you need, but it is small. As i started by saying however, everything in context! if this was a £200/night room then you might moan! But at the rate paid, this is actually good value and liked it. The aircon is perhaps a tiny bit underpowered but again, i do not want to say negatives. This is a VERY good hotel! FACILITIES: There is a nice bar and foyer. All areas are clean. The breakfast was varied (although i have never had cheesy brocolli and pork rind on offer at breakfast before!) Again…. if you pay twice the rate then i might moan that the mushrooms were cold, but frankly, this was a good breakfast and it did its job! Overall, 10 out of 10 in context. Maybe it is a 3-star doing a good job at being a 4-star by UK standards or a 4-star by some European standards, but at the room rate charged, this is a GOOD hotel and i recommend it. :-)

Perfect hotel. Located very close the the city center with lots of restaurants close by. The staff was super friendly. We stayed twice at this hotel during our visit to Hungary (first and last night in Budapest). Both of the times we received a free upgrade to a junior suite and the master (Dracula themed) suite! The rooms are very silent so no noise at all from the streets. The breakfast was nice, lots of choice of food and drinks. I would stay here again without a doubt and recommend it anytime.

The Soho Hotel is really an amazing Hotel, located really close to some of the most beautiful sights in Budapest, such as the Dohany street synagogue, St. Stephens Basilica, or the most beautiful cafe in the world, New York Cafe. Besides that, the Hotel is located in a vibrant neighbourhood, with lots of cafes & restaurants. The hotel itself is really good, super clean, with an amazing breakfast. A variety of food is served for breakfast, which we enjoyed very much. I traveled to Budapest with my fiancé for our anniversary, and the staff of Soho Hotel made sure to welcome us with a bottle of wine and a sweet welcoming letter. All in all, you will not make a wrong choice if you stay at Soho Hotel in Budapest.
