Hotel Mika Downtown

From the moment we entered tge hotel, great atmosphere, friendly staff, perfect location for the city, river, bridges, castle.Reception staff provided maps and directions tions, showed an interest in what we wanted to do. Given a very nice room, 108, located at rear of hotel. Free drink at the bar in evening. Breakfast sat outside on the courtyard in the early sun was excellent. Will definitely use again.

I would have appreciated a bit of laundry detergent for the washing machine and I would have appreciated some mugs for tea and some salt and pepper in the cupboards. It is very noisy at night but which made it hard to get to sleep. The window blinds let in a lot of light in the morning which made it hard to sleep.

We like the location of the hotel (center of Budapest), all places to visit in Budapest are within walking distance, we like the garden in front of the hotel where you can have late breakfast (till 11 o'clock). Also, breakfast was great, room was spacious, extra clean, there was free water, free coffee in the room, hot water in the bathroom, every day new towels.

We did not like the fact that we park our car very far, 20min by car. We have dial with Manager when we book Hotel (3 months ago) to park in parking in front of the hotel for cost of 20eur/day, but when we arrive the Manager change the price for 40eur/day which made discomfort and stress for all of my family and also my friends who was staying in the Hotel.

The room was specious and clean, nice location- near a lot of bars, so it's great if you're traveling with friends and want to go somewhere where there's a lot going on. The food was good, not a lot of different choices, but enough if you're only staying for 2 or 3 days. Although the breakfast area was a bit inconvenient. The lady at the reception was very kind and she gave us some tips where to eats/what to see and try. There is a bar downstairs at the hotel with karaoke or live music and you get a voucher for free drinks. Recommend this place if you're traveling with friends.

The location of the hotel is ideal for city sightseeing, we didn't notice the lively atmosphere from the bar next door, tasty breakfast, friendly staff ready to help. The bathroom of the first room we were assigned had some minor issues, but fortunately there was a similar category room available on the next day which we were able to move into. Thanks, much appreciated.

The bed-sofa in the family rooms could be more comfortable; or accommodate two single beds on the higher floor instead.

Overall this hotel was excellent , on so many levels. 5 mins Walt to the heart of the city, restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, 15 walk to historical attractions. The breakfast was AMAZING. The bedroom was on a mezzanine within the room, 2 toilets, full kitchen including iron, microwave,hob, pots and pans, even a dishwasher. The bedding was clean white and crisp, very comfortable pillows. Cable tv, toiletries . I could go on and on. Value for money, location, clean friendly place, everything was FANTASTIC.

Spacious apartment very good for a family of 4; quiet though the night bar downstairs. Comfortable bed. Very good location.

When we arrived one of the two bed wasn’t ready and they said we could do our bed by ourselves with the sheets provided in the room!!!!!! Also only two medium and two small towels, so we asked at the reception because we needed to take a shower! Unfortunately they didn’t have any towel (!) bit they said the housekeeper would have left the day after. The night after we came back in the room and it wasn’t made up!!!!!! Nor the towels arrived! The girl at the reception could find some towels for us… Breakfast was fine but lots of people crowed in a very small buffet with hands of everybody touching everyone else and every food…

Very nice people. Great breakfast. Great location - very close to restaurants and pubs. Beautiful rooms - cleanly, well equipped. Very nice garden behind the hotel with a bar. Parking is available one street further away, 20 euros/day - I recommend taking it. The car is safe, in the immediate vicinity, on the street, if you don't have a car with Hungarian registration numbers, you can't park even if you pay, you have to look for further streets - but you can also buy a maximum of 3h - so this car park is a very good choice. I will definitely return to this hotel.

staff was fairly new and shared information about a microwave being available which is the reason why I booked bc I had food to warm up and then after I booked, I found out that the microwave was only available for 2 hours in the morning. Her suggestion was to ask a different hotel for a favor which is quite an odd suggestion to warm up food at a different hotel and carry it back to my room…a bit odd. she was very nice, but knowing the information fully before suggesting would have been more helpful.

Took a room for three persons and was provided with two interconnected rooms which was great. Very central location with lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Could be noisy for rooms on the lower floors, but in my case the room on the third floor was very quite. Very good breakfast was provided.

Had to ask for fresh towels on two out of four nights stayed at the accommodation. Had to access the room through a few steps (not very convenient when travelling with large bags).
