Boutique Hotel Victoria Budapest

The view from the large window to the Parliament across the river was absolutely stunning. You could lie on the bed and see the illuminated building. You could also se the beautiful Chain Bridge from the window. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel was very close to Buda Castle so you could easily walk there. A shop for water, wine etc. was just around the corner from the hotel. It was a 15 minutes walk across the Chain Bridge to many nice restaurants on the Pest side. We visited Tom George three times and the food was lovely. Nice breakfast and you could order bacon and eggs, scramled eggs or an omelette from a nice lady called Silke (I think) to the table. I recommend the beer spa at Szechenyi Thermal Bath. It was a truly lovely experience and then you had free access to all the inside and outside pools. I really recommen this hotel!

The only elevator in the hotel was very slow.

As big fans of the architecture of the Hungarian parliament, we were looking for a room with a nice view. This hotel exceeded our expectations. The panoramic view from your room from the top floors is probably the best view you will have in Budapest. We spent 2 nights enjoying the uninterrupted views of the Danube, Hungarian Parliament and the Szechenyi Bridge. The room was quite spacious and complete with all the necessary amenities. The bed was quite comfortable too. The check-in process was smooth and the staff was welcoming. We enjoyed the daily breakfast. The F&B manager was so sweet and helpful. Buda is a quieter and more peaceful residential area than Pest. The hotel was located close to all the public transport links so it was easy to reach Pest. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. They made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable.The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained. Location was amazing, most of the reception staff were super helpful and friendly, cleaning was really good (no stains in rooms, bathroom, towels etc), very central and easy to access everywhere, the room and the view are definitely better than it looks in the pictures! Air conditioning was working perfectly. Pillows were super comfy. We were positively surprised.

We could not sleep properly because the view was so amazing from the room, sleeping seemed like wasting time! But for real; Breakfast could be better, most of the pastry were not fresh every day, glasses especially could be cleaner in breakfast room.

Everything was great. The staff was courteous, efficient, helpful, and pleasant. The room was large with a huge amount of storage. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were very clean. The shower pressure was strong with plenty of hot water. The BREAKFAST WAS GREAT with a large selection of breads, cheeses, meats , juices ,coffees ,and delicious crepes. In ADDITION, they asked if you wanted eggs, which I had scrambled with ham and cheese. The LOCATION WAS FABULOUS, a block away from The Chain Bridge, so easily walkable to the historic sights as well as restaurants and entertainment venues on both the Pesh side as well as the Budda side with the Castle District right up the hill. The VIEW was OUTSTANDING, What can be better than a direct view onto the Danube ?

The carpeting was in perfect condition, but style and color were a bit tired, as were some furniture pieces .

We loved our stay at this hotel. We were unable to use the hotel carpark as it was booked out but the hotel recommended another which was not too far away. The staff are very friendly and obliging. Our room was a great size and very comfortable and the bathroom was nice too. The view from the room was amazing looking out over the river and was so pretty at night with all the lights. We had a very nice buffet breakfast each morning of our stay. The hotel is situated along the Danube River so is in a great spot for sightseeing and there are also lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

A very nice hotel, indeed, at the Buda side of the city The room was was spacious, comfortable, quite and clean. The room had a balcony with a view of the Danube river and the city with the amazing Parliament building. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The hotel is not in the city center, but it is conveniently located next to a tram station and close to bus transportation that can take you to the center of the city in a matter of minutes. The staff was accommodating subject, of course, to their traditional strict manners, which are rather unfamiliar to most Americans... :-)

Cannot say that we really disliked it, but it was a strange incident: When we arrived, an upgrade to a 10th floor room was offered to us at an extra cost. We declined the offer, and we kept the original 9th-floor room. Later we realized that there was no 10th floor. Go figure .... :-)

Room: clean and comfortable. AC work properly. The view from the window was 10 out of 10, it was amazing to admire the river and the parliament at any time of the day. Many thanks to the administration for this, we are very grateful. The room was on the eighth floor with panoramic windows. Great bathroom with everything you need. Staff: friendly, very kind, professional administration - quick check-in and check-out. Breakfast: delicious, you won't go hungry after. Location: perfect ,close to everything you need (restaurants, many attractions within walking distance). The hotel offers a private garage to the car (20 EUR/day). There are three parking places in the garage, but if all places are already booked - you can park your car next to the hotel. With parking in Budapest is no problem.

The mattress on the bed is very soft, it’s not comfy.

Clean room with generous cupboard and wardrobe space. Comfortable bed. Good lighting. The shower had good pressure and no problem with hot water. Different choices at the buffet breakfast and eggs are prepared on request. All of the staff were friendly. This is a boutique hotel so there is no restaurant for an evening meal, but there is a very good restaurant/bar right next door, and plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. The view of the Parliament building and other side of the Danube was spectacular.

Visited Budapest in mid April for a 3 day break. Chose the Hotel Victoria for its location and views over the River Danube to the Parliament Building. It was a perfect choice for our short stay. Very clean room and facilities, decorated in a 'Boutique' style. Polite and helpful reception staff, and also the staff in the breakfast room (who will offer bacon and eggs in addition to the already extensive spread) Wifi is very strong and there are hot drink making facilities in room. Bed is comfortable and there is no street noise - even from the tramline that very conveniently has a stop right outside the hotel (must be very good sound proofing). Bathroom is modern and clean with a strong, hot shower. I recommend this hotel.
