H+ Hotel Köln Brühl

The room was quite spacious and definitely enough for two people. Thought the beds were very comfortable and were enjoyable to sleep on. The bathroom was quite nice and the shower worked well and the free shower gel/shampoo and hand wash in the bathroom were both nice and more than usable. Thankfully, the hotel is really quite close to Phantasialand which is what we came to Brühl for and was very easy to get to from the hotel - there is a bus stop which will take you there about 2 minutes from the hotel and even the walk is more than doable albeit up a steep hill. Also nearby are a tram station which allowed us to get all the way into Köln for little money and Brühl station which did the same thing for the same price, its just a longer walk but would also let you go straight to the airport. We both thought the breakfast was absolutely amazing and was definitely a highlight. All of it was really tasty and I looked forward to waking up and being able to eat the breakfast that they had available. All of the cooked food was all really tasty and the eggs weren’t mushy or overcooked. I thought croissants were incredible and everything else was great too.

The bathroom was a little dirty with a hole in the wall above the door and a large fly stuck to the paint. Also the pillows didnt have much substance but were easily sleepable on

The hotel is located in a quiet area, and the restaurant's terrace is in a nice garden. The breakfast was fantastic with a variety of products. Clean room with comfortable bed and quality linens.

I recommend changing the pillows, which were extremely flat. I ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, the food was very good, but the service leaves much to be desired. I saw that there were only 2 people at another table, so it was not crowded in the restaurant, the lady who served us did not bring the 8-year-old child's food because she forgot to order it. In the idea that I went down more for the child to eat and I ordered his first, then I waited for his food to come while my food got cold. After that, no one came for a long time for the payment note.

The hotel was really easy to drive to from the airport and also easy to get to the city centre of Cologne. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size for two people. We drove to Phantasialand in 4 minutes from the hotel, which shows how great the location is to the local theme park. The breakfast had some great options. Breakfast was also included in the price, which was great.

We had a meal in the restaurant on Saturday evening. They were offering a buffet for 22 Euros per person, but the options were very limited for the price of the meal and the food was lukewarm. It's the only thing that disappointed me throughout the stay.

We got a free upgrade to a suite which was great as it had a sofa bed as well as the king bed and 2 bathrooms! It was very warm in the room and you couldn’t easily adjust the temperature. The windows in our room opened onto a roof that you could walk along from other rooms so we were reluctant to leave them open. Breakfast is nice but basic. The glasses for the juices are about 100ml which is a bit extreme! Small selection of fruit, breads and juices as well as the typical fry up. Check in was efficient. 5 minute taxi from phantasialand.

Room temperature was hard to adjust. No safe. Small fruit and pastry selection at breakfast.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was reasonably priced, well cooked, and good quality. The hotel itself was clean, well-kept and comfortable. The room was adequate but could be improved.

The room was a bit dated, nothing major, but a bit of a spruce up would be worth the time. The carpet was faded, scuffs on some of the furnishing, a couple of tiny holes in the curtains. The pillows were far too soft for our liking. They may offer extras/alternatives, but I didn't ask. The main issue for us was that the air-con was lacking in effectiveness. It worked to a degree but was not as cold or powerful as we would have liked. Again, they may have moved us to another room, but I didn't ask.

Hotel is at a great location, ample free parking. Breakfast buffet is really good! Shower is strong, shampoo is provided. And you get Miles and More airmiles (Star Alliance)!

Price should have been below 100 euros per night, given the size of the room, but H+ is a chain so that may be the reason. Room still has the smell of smoking, so be sure to ventilate when you enter, after that it’s ok. We asked the staff to put our cooling elements in the freezer at the reception, since we had quite the drive the next day. They did, but somehow the next day they found them in the fridge, making them useless. So someone has been naughty…

Exceptionally clean hotel from top to bottom, very nice room and en-suite with an exceptional shower (great flow and temperature control!). We had dinner in the restaurant and the staff were very efficient, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and great value. Breakfast was similarly exceptional with very helpful staff and a great range of food and drinks.

The hotel was quite hard to find, better signage would help, although we did make a mistake and ended up in an identically named street about 13km away!!

The staff was very nice, Mr. Fröybel was very nice and Mr. Kefttechik (not sure of his name) was very nice too, the breakfast was fabulous as mentioned. I want to add an information if you are going to fantissima show, it's not that worth it, the show has kind of the same things as the shows in the park and in my opinion the ones in the park were nicer specially the battle of the best.

The door had some salts and the curtains were a bit dirty and ripped, but that won't lower my rating because these things are easily fixable.

Rooms were spacious and clean, beds very comfortable, brilliant location for access to Cologne and Phantasialand (30 minute walk or 5 minute taxi). Close to Bruhl Sud (South) tram stop. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of options and no need to book a timeslot in advance. Hotel is well presented and near to shops for food etc. Facilities in room (hairdryer, safe for valuables). Would definitely stay again for a short break.

Value for money could have been a little better. The refuse collectors woke us up one morning at 5:30 but that isn't the hotels fault! No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but can have unlimited at breakfast. Could have done with some additional bed pillows in the room.

The staff was highly professional and polite, the breakfast was amazing, check in and check out was easy and they let us check in early and late check out for which I am thankful. Also a very good restaurant is inside the hotel.They provide us iron without request

The Wifi speed was very weak in our room, no mini fridge, coffee machine or kettle in the room. The hotel is in 20 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and if you want to go to the centre of Cologne you must ride the train for 35 minutes.
